Don't be a pooh West!  ;D
Sorry.
I'm just teasing, you don't need to be sorry.
I'm just messing around.  I saw you had "Mom" in your name so I figured I couldn't talk smack to you.
Thanks for being respectful, it is really appreciated.  It’s not nice to pick on old ladies! But….. I’m a big girl, I can take it. Go Lamar!!  :P
 2. High School leading the way in Football, YEAH, :D  but apparently not in teaching our kids to write!  :( Great job posters!!!!!! And BTW I’m approaching 200,  Mr. “I got 18,000”.  :P Yes, you know who you are! Okay, so maybe I’m just jealous. It would be great if SETX would put a GREEN WITH ENVY smiley on here, would sure save some posters time. Instead of writing a rebuttal, we could just throw up the green smiley. And how about a smiley with some pouty lips just for me!  ;D I could use them right about now! Besides, one of the Lamar fans got what he wanted in the college forum and I never got nothin’.  (Insert pouty lips here)
 3. Looking forward to seeing yall there. The last time I remember playing West Hardin, it was raining and cold. The kids were half frozen at the half.  :D High Island loves to play smash mouth ball and I expect we will see the same from West Hardin. They are considered to be one of the tougher teams on our schedule. Should be a great game. GO CARDINALS!
 4. If he was a bad player would it have been justified? Just wondering? Unless I misunderstood, he did not move him there to play football, he was already there. Sure would have saved himself some trouble if he pretended like he didn’t care and had someone else takes care of the kid. I appreciate that he was honest.
 5. Cooool!! Mack Brown gave me a concussion once. I’ll tell ya the story if you want me to!
 6. Half the football team in High Island lived and were fed by the football coaches last year. No one said anything. Come on now!
 7. Hard to say from the video who is fighting and who is defending, but the one guy that SUCKER PUNCHED the other gets my vote for NOT the man of the year!!!!!! The part where the one young man steps between the two large guys makes me want to cry! Can’t imagine how he must have felt, besides the fact that he could have been hurt!
 8.
Mostly it is a person who does not want to see you or your team succeed.  It could be because they are jealous of your talent, they could actually really think highly of your play, think you are a good player, but instead of letting you know, or asking you to help them get better,  they throw Hater Aide.  Some haters are just that, no one or team is better then what they believe in.  It can be team mates as well, they would rather see someone fail, because they cannot rise to the challenge themselves.
I like your post.  :)

 13.
I must confess ---and much to my regret, I was substituting a writers usage of the word "hater" as his way of making accusations that the other was a racist.  I am glad that you guys have provided much better definition of this term.  Even though I choose not to call a person a hater, I perhaps fall in to the last option regarding IQ. :-[ Anyway, have fun with this thread and thanks for the input---I guess you could say I googled you guys.  The good news is that now I can participate in stirring it up with the so called haters and keep them nourished with some agitation and then be able to sleep at night.  ;D
I witnessed a “hater” throw a homophobic slur at another poster to get them to shut up, because they did not want to hear what the other was saying. It’s kinda like being a racist, well not really, but I hope it helps ya feel better weedbegone.
 14.
I've seen Woodlands Christian play against my sons team.  They are very talented.  Have 4-5 kids who could play for anyone.  It will be a mismatch.  But they are very good sports and will not run up the score to bad.
Agreed. Against Woodlands when we had our B team in we could have scored a couple times but we made some mistakes. I found them to be very good sports. Too bad we did not find the same last week, but I am sure that was disgruntled fans and not the players! O'Connell's players fought hard, but some fans decided that was not enough I guess!
 15.

Looks like the team has rallied from #20 injury. It is a shame that he will be out and I hope his surgery went well (I believe that it was this week?). Cards we will see you in six weeks on the Battlefield!
Yes his surgery was successful, in fact so successful that I think he put about a mile on those crutches last night going up and down the sideline and his voice had to be completely gone. James is a fighter and he will definately rally back sooner than later. It was nice to see the Cardinals fight for every yard and play good football against Galveston Oconnell, they had some mental errors and some things to work on but at the end of the night a win is a win, and they start work again on Monday getting ready for a good West Hardin team.
Glad to hear about James' surgery. Wishes for speedy recovery to a fine young man!
Thanks Yeller, and all those who have shown their support, it means a lot. It has been a rough and busy couple weeks. Leli (James) was really, really, REALLY looking forward to the challenge of facing off with the Rebels this year. He was just coming into his own, and I was almost feeling sorry for him and myself for a season lost and what should have been his best year, but mostly, his Senior Year with teammates he loves. His surgery took place on the Tuesday after the passing of Reggie Garrett, and thinking of Reggie reminded us so very quickly of how much we had to be thankful for. Leli's surgery went well, an amazing, well renowned Dr., and we received better than expected news. I am heartbroken for the Garrett Family, as we could only try to imagine what they have truly lost. Reggie was only 17, same age as Leli. When I saw Ms. Garrett on the news I was amazed by her strength , and can only pray to ever do as well for mine. So Yeller, Leli looks forward to meeting you and your beloved Rebs on the field in a different but thankful capacity. Reggie will remain in so many hearts for so many different reasons. May we all remain vigilant in prayer for the Garrett and Barbay families, and all those who are dealing with these losses.

Pretty much want to puke from reading some of these post. By the way I am "Old School" pretty much tells you the post that makes me want to puke. Some of these post sounds like they were wrote by woman or Liberals. ;D ;D
Women ?,  :o give us a break Orange, we're not all that bad! Too bad that some think the coach is the problem. I'm not saying that there might not be bad coaches, but if you want to know what it's like, try coaching anything for awhile. Some coaches scream some coaches don’t, and I do believe that different kids do better under different types of encouragement and/or disciple, and a great coach will know which one works best. You play the game with the coach who has given his/her time and energy to be there, you do what he/she wants, you may not always like it but you get over it! As for being a Parent, when my son is in my house he is my baby, but when he hits the door it's all on him. At his age, if he can't explain to his coach what he wants and thinks, and if he has the ability but can’t earn it, he isn't gonna get it, and if that is the case then maybe I haven't done such a great job. I KNOW that if I went to the coach on my sons behalf, the person my son is gonna be PO'd at is me. And, if he doesn’t have the ability, I need to encourage him to move on to something he can do. But then, some kids have more heart than ability. Always love to see them in the game! But the coaches will know who those kids are. The only time I feel the parents should have the say so is when it comes to our kid’s health and safety.
I Know "Mom", not all of you are bad. I have been married to a wonderful woman for 27 years. By the way , I like your last post. I was waiting for someone to call me out on that remark. LOL!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
ahahaha. I figured some were wondering; how long was it going take for me to bite!   :D :D :D
After I posted that I thought " man why did I post that?" Was hoping nobody would quote me. But you busted me "Mom". LOL!!!!!!!! ;D ;D Love you for that. I do have feelings.  :D :D
Aww Shucks Orange!  :-[  ;D
 20. Aww Scooter, that sucks. he ahe hehe ahahaha. Sorry man but...... did it go into the toilet? LOL!
 21. I think heart testing for athletes is a great idea. I am sure it would be a pain to get done, but I would much rather have live kids than dead athletes!

C'mon Man! HI - All the way!!!!!!!!!!!
So was the Cookie Monster from Hull a couple years ago.  The Rebs beat on him all night long!!  He was a beast and Evadale took that one 16-6.  I know #20 for HI is a load, but you'll need more weapons to take the crown. Evadale High Island Burkeville Sabine Pass
I agree with you both, HI has been winning because we have some players. #20 was icing on the cake, but with him out we'll have to beat ya in the dough! LOL Good luck to all the teams, hope everyone has a safe season. Go Cardinals

 25. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. Leli (James) will be out for the season. Knees were not designed to be sandwiched by two helmets from two different directions! He is very disappointed but will help his teammates in every way he can. He has a mathematical mind and loves the strategy of football, so I imagine he will be on the sidelines irritating the heck out of his coaches with all the "new" plays he has come up with!  :D That or he will be riding down the field on the backs of his teammates who have offered to be his legs.  ;) Thanks guys! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
