  1. EAST CHAMBERS IS IN NEED OF A SCRIMMAGE AND A GAME - GAME DATES OPEN MARCH 12 OR 13 OR APRIL 27-MAY 1; SCRIMMMAGE CAN BE FEB. 12, 13 16-19
  2. CHECKING TO SEE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN COMING TO A TOURNAMENT AT EAST CHAMBERS NEXT YEAR. LOOKING AT A COUPLE OF DATES FEB. 26-28 MARCH 5-7 PLEASE RESPOND ASAP, SO IF WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN WE CAN SECURE SPOTS AND GET EVERYTHING GOING. WE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THIS AN ANNUAL EVENT AND EVEN START HAVING A JV TOURNAMENT ALSO.
  3. IF YOU A HOST A TOUR DON'T YOU GET TO GO AUTOMATICALLY. JUST PLAY AND LET THE KIDS GET BETTER AND COMPETE - THEY DO NOT HAND OUT RINGS FOR THIS ANYWAY. GET THE KIDS DOING SOMETHING AND NOT SITTING ON THEIR BUTT ALL SUMMER. THAT IS ALL IT IS ABOUT.
  4. EC VS JASPER (BATTLE OF OLD FRIENDS) ANAHUAC VS NEWTON (BATTLE OF BARBAY'S - DAD VS SON)
  5. WHAT SCHOOLS IN THE AREA ARE HAVING SPRING BALL AND WHICH ONES ARE THE BEST TO GO WATCH.
  6. THIS IS THE COACH THAT WENT INTO ADMINISTRATION AT NEW DIANA CORRECT? NOT THE CURRENT ONE?
  7. HANG A LANTERN ALREADY - WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR. DID THAT MANY PEOPLE APPLY THAT THEY HAVE TO WADE THROUGH RESUMES.
  8. 7 on 7 is good for the defense maybe. You canot get a read on a QB in 7 on 7 - no pressure of any kind. Stand back there and pat the ball for 4 seconds and wait for someone to get open. hmmm Little different on Friday night I would say. Do they hand out state rings for 7 on 7? With all that said - anytime you can get the kids out competing it is a good thing. Just better for the defense in my opinion.
  9. they have speed - they will contend.
  10. The defense at EC will be faster then last years squad. Look for Donte Raymond, Athony Ortiz, and JT Hallmark to be very productive, but the defense as a whole will feed off each other and be better in 2008.
  11. FROM WHAT I HEAR THEY HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB RECRUITING SOME PLAYERS - QB FROM NEW CANEY (DAD GOING TO BE A COACH) HMM LEAVE A 5A FOR A 2A WONDER WHY AND ALSO AN OFFENSIVE LINEMAN. WELL, I WOULD RATHER FOLLOW THE STANDARDS THEN DISREGARD THEM FOR THE SAKE OF "W"'S
  12. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BASKETBALL PROGRAM ON AN OUTSTANDING YEAR - AGAIN. THE COACHES DO A GREAT JOB AND THE PLAYERS BUY INTO THE SYSTEM AND PERFORM WELL YEAR AFTER YEAR. TO EVEN HEAR ABOUT HOW PEOPLE THINK THERE SHOULD BE CHANGES IS RIDICULOUS - EVERYTHING THEY DO IS FIRST CLASS AND I AM PROUD OF THEM AND THE YEAR THEY HAD.
  13. so who are the final two? all i see is alot of mouthing off about the wrong way to do things.
  14. EC Zero - Orangefield 1 - Newton 2 - HF or HJ 3 - HF or HJ Play one week 3 and the other week 4 No idea yet on site
  15. Tramain Thomas - Arkansas Vance McDonald - Rice
  16. He has it narrowed to two - I will not break any trust, but he has really thought this out and talked to his parents and is not taking his decision lightly. Whatever decision he makes it will be a good one for him and his family. He will be successful at any school. I think it is a true statement about the young man when talking to him about signing he wants to know about Vance and could they sign at the same time so both get equal attention. This is one great young man and I am thrilled for him and hopefully all goes through for Vance. Both deserve the chance to go play and will make EC proud.
  17. Which way would you do your schedule? Patsy and get some wins or play tough and get better? Yes, the experience of your team is important, but lets say all things equal. How do you go about it? Only way to be good is play good people.
  18. Maybe we should erect a statue. lol Great guys one and all
  19. Congrats to Coach Hargraves, Fontenot, and Andrews on a great win. I know there are alot of good coaches around, but I personally think these guys rank at the top. Always make great adjustments, treat kids great - just overall class acts. Keep it up.
  20. The fact that Tramain has been nominated twice in a row on offense should count for something. What is really nice is the fact that he is a great player and a great young man. Good luck to all
  21. Stability is the only way to get a program going in the right direction. Need a quality HC and assistants that believe and will inplement want he wants done on all levels. Cannot do one thing at the JH and another at the HS.
  22. I always love that comment - level of competition. I have seen plenty of 4a and 5a schools that could not play dead. Thomas could play for anybody in the state and be the MVP hands down. The back from Kirbyville played the likes of WOS, Jasper, etc. HMMMM - level of competition. I would take both of those kids over anybody from some 4a or 5a. Good luck to all nominated - despite your level of competition
  23. Throw at me and get thrown out - That would help your team. Come on man - I am just playing around a little - Don't get defensive about it. You gotta love baseball - Only sport where you do not if adjusting yourself is an actual adjustment or a sign.
  24. Heard Haynes said he would take it for $100,000. They said they could not afford that, so he recommended Hodges from Kountze. I hear Valastro would take 90,000.
