It was a good game, Both teams left everything on the field. Kountze played a really good game and kept working hard even when trailing. That QB (I think his number was 12) is going to be something fun to watch for a long time. Shepherd is a totally different team and played really hard they just need to figure out how to win and put teams away when they have them down. No excuses. Both teams something to build on. Good Game to both teams.

I would vote for you Sport1971, but they will not let me cause I am from Shepherd. :P

Trust me, My Feelings are not hurt (my wife tells me I don't have feelings :)) I do agree with you Eazy returning that many starters from a 1-9 team doesn't mean anything. They will have to do something different than last year.

The last few years I have been told it was going to be Liberty. So I have to go with Liberty (3rd times a Charm) LOL.

Again. Shepherd has improved some, that is not saying much being they haven't been very competetive in sometime on the football field. There is hope in Shepherd that they are on the right track now and maybe will win a few more games this year. Everyone there knows it will take some time to become a team that gets some respect. We don't get any as of now, not even from smaller schools. So the folks from Shepherd should not talk smack until they prove something. Just play the games and let the boys on the field do the talking. Oh and I am from Shepherd. And as for baseball what does that really matter on a football thread. They haven't done much on the diamond either in some time, so let's not get the cart ahead of the horse. Do they have promise on the diamond in the coming years, that is up for debate. As far as Kountze I have been told they are fast and should be much improved over the last few years. They seem to be in the same boat as Shepherd as far as what they have done the last few years. So who wins this game who knows and for most if not all the people outside of Shepherd and Kountze they don't care. I again hope it is a really good game and both sides come out injury free. Who claimed that Shepherd was much improved? I said they were bigger and faster than they have in years past. I also said we would have to see if that translates into wins. Again we will just have to wait and see on Friday night, one of these two teams will win and won will not. I can't recall any popster from Shepherd claiming anything. 

Then this will either be one heck of a game or one crappy one. I guess we will see Friday night.  But good Luck to both teams and hope it is an injury free game for both squads.

I say 3A or not Coldspring is just too good on defense for King. I give it to Coldspring 42-14. Oh and the offesne is not too shabby either. They have put up big numbers in the scrimmages. Coldspring should be back to Dallas this year. They are really doing something right over there.

Sport1971, have you seen Shepherd this year? They are faster and bigger than they have been and many years. I will not get into who will win because neither team has done much in the last few years. Shepherd needs to learn how to win games. The one thing I will say is the new coaching staff is doing a great job and the defense will hit you straight in the mouth. From what I have seen this year they are playing with a lot of attitude and a big chip on their shoulder. Will that translate into wins we will see. As for Kountze I have not seen them but I have heard they are fast. So I will not judge them. Will speed win out over strength and attitude we shall see on Friday night.

Shepherd look better than in years past. Keel and the rest of the coaching staff are doing a really good job with those boys. Still it will take time. The boys seem to really like playing for Keel and and company. The attitude in Shepherd is so much better. I think it ended up being 3-1 in Episcopal's favor.

Falconfanatic, I was not refering to Shepherd upsetting Huffman, I was talking about any team in distric besides Coldspring. I can take the trash talk and it is all good. I was just warning you just in case it is your turn at some point this season. ;D

Also you just better hope and pray that one of the other teams in distric doesn't come up and suprise Huffman, because if they do you sir will have a ton of crow to eat.

Oh I was not talking about the current talent difference. If we are talking about talent then Coldspring and Cleveland has better talent. Does that always turn into wins? No it doesn't. Huffman has a good set of Coaches and a system that works well for them. But I wouldn't say they have better overall talent. I was talking about how you folks from Huffman always think you are better than everyone else. My refernce the other day about hoping it doesn't rain too soon must of went right over your head. What I was getting at was for you people to take a page out of Coldspring book and let your so called super talent do the talking instead of opeing your mouth. For the Coldspring vs Huffman - every team has that one team that always plays them close no matter what, does that put Huffman is in the same league as Coldspring - not on your life. As far as Shepherd goes - they haven't seen the playoff in a very long time, but they are good kids who work their butt off no matter what and don't deserve to be called scrubs. They may not be playing at the level as Coldspring right now but they are working towards that. It will take time but they are a proud group of very good kids and I am very proud to be from Shepherd and to sit in the stands and cheer those boys on "win or not". The one thing about those boys is they won't quit no matter what the score is. So you keep on talking down about a bunch of teams that you no nothing about, because it wasn't to long ago that Huffman was a crappy scrub team in 4a.

How can you Huffman folks always say Coldspring and Huffman? The only team in this district that has really done anything in the last few years is Coldspring! I don't see them coming on here and calling the other teams in the district scrubs or always trying to make yourself look better than what you truely are. They prove it on the field. So Huffman has been to the playoff the last couple of years, good for them, but you really haven't shown anything while in the playoffs. Please tell us what your record is in the playoff the last couple of years. In Texas High School 3A football I don't think any of the top 10-20 teams would really get worried if they were going to be facing Huffman in the first couple of rounds. In the last couple of topics you Huffman folks are starting to sound a lot like last years Liberty folks and we all know how that ended up.

H-D Bobcatt 55 does Charles Land still live their, he was a huge bobcat supporter back in the 90's. And a good guy. You are right the folks that live their are sure proud of were they came from and their football.

The big Pitcher from Shepherd also got an invite, he is going to the one in Weatherford.

Yes he is building a really good coaching staff, Chip is a great leader and Coach. Now if anyone can get these parents and kids to buy into the program it will be Chip. We need to get Shepherd going in the right direction. I am really happy to see a few faces come back to Shepherd to coach, they were great coaches then and will be even better now.
