Game Day is here, good luck to both teams!

I was at the game, they didn't shut them down in the first half, second half yes.  Good game to watch, now good luck against Angleton.

Thats Funny, I hope you don't have to eat all that.

Geez, I go to the Dayton-ElCampo ball game and come back to this. Its getting a little ugly in here.

BC is lucky that Huntsville fell apart like a cheap suit and choked that away, but any how they are playing Friendswood on Saturday! To Friendswood it doesn't matter if its BC, Huntsville, PNG, Dayton, Geese Crook, Crosby, etc,etc,etc they'll be happy to end whomevers season.  Fact is theirs only a handful of teams that can hang with the WOOD and they don't happen to come out of districts 18, 19, or 20.

I think we all know why the two teams are categorized that way.

The Santa Fe loss was inexecusable though they were beat up at that point in the season but injuries are not an excuse .  The other two teams FW loss to are both still playing, one in 5a D1.  Saying Dayton would beat Friendswood now is obsurd, FW dominated that game they just got sloppy in the last few minutes of that game to make it closer then it appeared.  I saw the game against Nederland and I can assure everyone it wouldn't of mattered if they had their starting qb,infact that week PNG was on a bye week and some of their players and coaches were at the game and all I heard is how impressed they were with Friendswood.  Comments like "I didn't think they would be that fast", that is a huge physical team" were coming from PNG players. 

7-0 sounds like a struggle to me, not too mention it was against a mediocre team.  Three touchdowns may be a stretch, but I really believe BC is the team that has alot less room for error if they have any chance of winning.

I haven't seen them play this year but I did last year.  I'm just stating my opinion, we'll see what happens soon enough.  Dawson may not be as fast, but they've had their way with Goose Creek for two years now, which BC struggled with recently.   

I think your focusing on one player(#44), I'm talking about overall team speed, and I personally don't think BC is faster then those teams I mentioned.  I'm sorry that you've had to see Dawson the last couple season, thats too bad.

At first glance my thoughts were that this was going to be a close game, but upon further review I believe Friendswood will win this one by a minimum of three touchdowns.  Everyone talks about how quick or fast BC is and will give FW problems, but the fact is Friendswood has played fast teams all year. Angleton,Dawson, Manvel, Dayton, Brazoswood all have their fair share of speed.  It seems like everyone is under the assumption that Friendswood is a bunch of slow kids, which is probally the way the prefer it.  Truth be told, Friendswood probally has more team speed anyone BC has played, they just don't have that one or two players that can flat out fly.  Friendswood is definitely one of the best coached HS teams in Texas and they beat teams by executing at a level not matched by many schools. BC needs unleash hell to win this one!!

I found a list of hs stadiums on Bobs that are 16500 capacity and higher, I see Stallworth but I guess that one in Odessa is smaller. [Hidden Content]

Galena Park is right at 10,000, but yes now that you mention Permian, that stadium is one of the largest.

Golly, thats  got to be one of the biggest hs stadiums in tx.

It looks like this stadium is an equal distance between the two teams.  I was expecting Woodforest, Thorne, or Galena Park.

Nobody matches up well with Angleton in that district!

Is Stallworth Stadium a good venue for this game?  I was suprised to learn it is being played there.

I can think of 2 defenses as good(angleton, manvel) and one thats better(brazoswood) that Friendswood has played.

I think Central will see a much better FW defense then the one they saw last year.  Don't make the mistake and think FW is not as good as last years team because Karam and Gautreux are gone.  Their current quarterback doesn't have the skills Karam had but he's solid and really come into is own the last month.  I expect a very good physical game.

This will be far and away the best Bmt Central has seen all year, so they better bring it to have any chance.

  Crosby needs to look at the tape from the Friendswood - Dawson game earlier in the year.  Friendswood completely took their quarterback out of the equation, and dominated the entire game. If Crosby can't figure out a way to contain him and he has time to survery the field from the spread it will be a long night for the Cougars.  I'll stick with District 24 in this one, it is a notch above everyone else in region 3.  Dawson 31  Crosby 20. 

Stallworth next Saturday at 1pm is confirmed.
