Well he helped lead PNG to the second round last year and a lose to eventual state champ Lamar Consolidated. Don't judge the kid on the stats or lack there of at PNG. If you have seen PNG you would understand why the numbers aren't astounding. But also if you ask anyone who has seen him when they get away from the power game, they will tell you he can sling it and is accurate. He has completed more than 50% for most of the season. The 2/17 against Ozen really hurt. Besides he is not the only QB that will sign with LU. I would suspect Woodard would also bring in a JC transfer and try to sign another QB or two next year 2010. you were right about the JC transfer. We got a good one

A few years ago -- Bennie Brazell (Westbury HS) won two national championships (if you want to call the FBS one that) with LSU as he got "BCS National Championship" with football and outdoor track and field. Brazell ended up going the 2004 Olympics. I'm sorry, I should have specified. I was thinking major sports. I knew you could do 2 sports, thats what Charles did at UT.

Other players or cloeron, johnson, brown, berry, geez the whole baseball team. These kids all played in junoir high and set all kinds of records now they dont play. When the new ad comes in the first thing i would do is tell griff to stop discouraging kids to play football so they can just focus on baseball. You've got that backwards. The athletes are actually discouraged from playing baseball to focus on football but i guess you can see how that turns out. They go to the sport with the better reputation and chance for success. And yes there are numerous other athletes in other sports that could compete but also ones who just walk the halls and don't want to play football because of the rep.
