1.
Maybe if some of the "Coaches and Assn't Coaches" stop worrying about themselves and their records, and stop playing Legacy and other water-downed basketball programs around here and schedule some bigger programs where some scouts might be at, instead of playing teams where only parents attend the games. Go play some ranked 4a and 5a schools. When was the last time Hj has even played a ranked 4a or 5a school?? Promote the kids, let us see for ourselves if they can play on the same court as guys going D1 instead of getting on here and telling us their not good enuff. Maybe the coach and his staff will get exposed instead of the players. I witnessed both all-state players from this area  get theirs against other all state players in the Tabc all state game. Matter of fact, They Started!! ;)  It was sad to say i think only 1 guy at the time didn't even have a Juco offer. It was quite embarrassing for the young man when everyone was asking him where was he going. But hey, it is what it is. Go coach some games where you don't always have the best athlete or bball player on the court.
honestly I think the coaches are worried about a bad loss, than just losing in general. I will give cleveland hs and stafford hs some credit they are willing to play up no matter how bad they will lose.
 2. wing-t, flexbone, wishbone its all the same. But I like the way georgia tech runs their flexbone. I dont like the runs their wing t clear lake. just depends on the horses

Last year Payton Ploch was All Greater Houston Player of the year ( that includes 5a )  In 08 AJ Dugat Parade All American and Cody Green started as QB for Nebraska's against Baylor. Tony Hill last year second team all state this year already  D.Wright among the best 300 in TX by Dave Campbell just don't see us being completely over matched maybe some, but not alot our conditioning program will easily make up the diff and then some. 12.
I don't know if I would call it a problem.  No doubt they are very atheletic, but this is the fourth consecutive time we have played them, so it's nothing were not use to.  They lead the series 2-1, but last game was a little misleading.  It was the worst we played all year.  It was supposed to be played on a Friday night, but wasn't due to the weather, so the decission to play Saturday was made at 8 and the game started at noon.  We didn't play in Brenham like it was scheduled for, instead we made the trip to Delmar that morning. We were losing by 14, but Lamar scored the last TD when they could have just taken a knee.  Now the other 2 times we played Lamar, we split.  They won the first game at Delmar on a hook and ladder play, taking the lead with under a minute to play....(after we dominated the first 3 quarters and drove down to their 35 in under a minute with no time outs)  The second time we played in Brenham, and we won be 1.  (that time, the game was close the whole time) I'm sure we havnt forgot about them throwing into the end zone last year, instead of kneeling.  We'll be ready and this time and we'll be playing in Brenham, breaking in our new turf.
you are asking to much for Lamar just to take a knee. They are always trying to run the score up on teams outside of HISD..

Dayton played them a couple of years ago and I talk with their posters year around on other sites . Dayton might be a little over-matched against Ike and that's to be expected against a 5a team, but to say they will be completely over-matched is over the top. To be honest I don't know if Dayton wins or not but I do know it will be a dog fight and Ike better not underestimate us !
Dude...Athletically, Dayton is way over-matched.  They don't play games with the type of talent they spit out.  They sign 10-15 college football players a year(not just Division I)....some years putting out as much as 20.   They are bigger, faster and stronger then just about everyone they play...That includes North Shore.  Then you talk about how absolutely vicious those kids are in pads.  Remember that scene in friday night lights of Carter...Meet Houston's version of that. This has nothing to do with 5a...they field 40-50 varsity football players depending on the year... Now down the beltway you have a team like Nimitz, who is as talented...but their is just something about the Black and Gold....those kids can ball. Dayton should be able to compete, but overcoming their athleticism when you have NEVER faced a team like that is going to be a something those Dayton boys will have to get over pretty quick.  You can't simulate it in practice, unless you got it.
HUM398 got it right its different brand of football the closer you get to north side of houston.

 20.
Has BH hire a new coach yet coop.
BH hires new basketball coach By Nathan Hague The Baytown Sun Published June 30, 2010 Barbers Hill named Tyron Lee to replace Nathan Toon as its new boys head basketball coach Monday night. Lee was the head basketball coach at Farmersville High School for two years, after spending five years coaching at The Colony High School, and from 2001-2003 Lee coached at St. Michaels Academy in Bryan. “He’s very vibrant and full of enthusiasm and vigor,” said Barbers Hill Superintendent Dr. Greg Poole. “He took a program that was dismal and took them to the playoffs. He’s a younger coach on his way up.” Lee heard about the job opening from Barbers Hill football coach and Athletic Director Ronnie Gage. “I have a connection with Coach Gage, and talking to him and other people in the area, it just seemed like a perfect fit,” Lee said. “He (Gage) was the athletic director of Lewisville ISD at the same time that I was in the area. When other people move here because of him, it’s a reflection on him. He’s that good.” His time in the Mont Belvieu area has been brief, but Lee is satisfied with what he has seen so far. “I love it to be honest with you,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity for me and my family. I have a wife and three young kids, and the area seems like a great place to raise a family. Everything I know about Barbers Hill, and everything people keep telling me, it just keeps getting better and better. I’m trying to get us moved as soon as I can.” Lee hasn’t met the players on his new team yet, but he’s excited to do so based on what people are telling him. “They have a strong work ethic and high character,” he said. “We’re on the same page, and I’m really excited about it.” This year will be Lee’s eighth year coaching basketball, and just last year he led Farmersville to the playoffs for the first time in seven years. It was an exciting time,” he said. “Those guys worked as hard as they could, I’m happy for them.” During his freshman year, Lee played on the basketball team at Sul Ross University in Alpine where he majored in kinesiology. Later earned a masters degree from Texas A&M. “I’ve known I wanted to be basketball coach since 16,” he said. “I love the game, and teaching is what I want to do, and luckily, I get to teach my favorite subject which is basketball.” Lee will take over for Toon who coached the Eagles for five years. In his last year, Toon led the Eagles to a 22-11 record and took them to the playoffs for the third time during his tenure.
