1. Again, its the houston chronicle...grain of salt
2. I'm not understanding #8 on the 5A level. Why are they ranked and La Porte not????
3. How did CV beat Humble? Humble is a region champion by many pollsters, losing to CV doesn't help convince me. Baytown as a city may need to do what hisd does and pick one school and load distric talent into that school. Smh
4.
Left  at halftime. Ugly weather. Ugly game. With Cjannelview beating Humble last night, RSS will have trouble finding those 2 district wins to make the "playoffs".
S.o.b. they sure did.who would be left out if CV makes the playoffs?
5. The Houston Chronicle (take it with a grain of salt) voted Bulldog Stadium (La Porte) to be the #3 home advantage stadium in the Greater Houston area. Judy Dials, who has made several trips to Bulldog Stadium over a span of 5 years, notes the close proxy of the stands and the length of the stands extending the entire length of the field Having played at Bulldog Stadium my entire high school career I have additions to what advantages our stadium holds. 1.) Mosquitos: not as bad as they use to before since the insulation of field turf but still bad none the less. 2.) Visitor locker rooms: again, better (for visitors) now that visitor specific lockerroom was built. Before then teams dressed under the visitor stands ( the original homeside and lockerroom). In there we stored old track equipment and there is NO ventelation in there. A second option is the former fieldhouse. Again that place is outdated. No running water and very miserable in the summer heat. The 3rd otion was "The Hot Box" as La Porte calls it. These are the locker rooms located in the ol varsity competgion gym. Want an ideal of why we call it the "hot box"? Windows located in the court portion of the gym was the only way to cool off in there. Again the locker rooms didn't have vents plus it was meant for roundball not football so 20 players max can dress in there. While I played there plenty of teams chose to dress and break outside rather than in any of the three visitor locker rooms 3.)to be an "open" stadium it still gets loud with a full house, lots of brick surrounding the stadium. 4.) The wind coming off the bay can be extremely privotal at times. What are some advantages your home team stadium has?
6. Is depth an issue with La Porte this year? I know we h

ave a lot of key players getting heavy time on both sides of the ball not to mention special teams. I hope the cooler waether come district will aid us in that department. We have a tough game against Klien Forest this week, we need crisp excecution if we are to contain Matt Da. Don't sleep on K.F defense either. Last year they stuff our offesne. They played close to the line acroos the board and went all out to stop the run.
7. Dayton holds off a late rally by Angleton: dayton 36 Angleton 30
8. Hoza Scott is a early favorite for district defensive MVP
9. I won't be attending game due to the National thrashing Baylor will put on tcu! SIC'EM BEARS
10. That's because NO ONE cares about Deer Park. Their name is a curse upon society! %o Aldine, this La Porte Bulldog is supporting you!
11. From what my Liberty source says, he looks like a play-off QB. Good system he is in.
12.
Liberty will probably win this one.  The new coach has done a good job of scheduling.  Maybe he can get a game with Dayton next year
I would like to see Dayton and Liberty rebirth their rivalry. I know the two cities share commerce and entertainment. Why should they not share a spirited football game. They should haave a trophy to play for also..I heard their is a bell at the library in Liberty, Battle for the Liberty Bell, I don't know..do you? I think you do.  8)
13. I work with a Liberty alum and he says Liberty will be able to play Dayton soon. Maybei can see a game between the two soon.
14.

Huffman has a higher than several hisd schools: kashmerquestione (596), jones (686), furr (865), b.t. washington is slightly larger wih 946. La marque has 996 students. So does the difference in enrollment make a substantial difference on the 3A level and lower? Yea,sooo you are aware that I NEVER attended Liberty High? That Liberty mascot is a Panther and my profile has a Bulldog. See what I asked in the above Question is intended for those who attend 3A and smaller schools. I went to La Porte high school a 5A where numbers don't make a whole heck of a difference.  Now if you care to give an extended response to my question then by all means please do.
So why are y'all playing Hardin with numbers barely in the 300's and boasting when you ran over them, not impressive for a school size of Liberty to beat Hardin but Very Impressive when little Hardin blew y'all out of the stadium.
15. When are we going to see the Battle for the Liberty Bell? Dayton vs Liberty! Come on, let's do it, encouragement my friend.
16. Imma stay within my Baylor family and say Memorial takes this one.
17. Another spread offense has infected a team. I swear people be forcing that offense.  When I hear "spread offense" on the high school level I think the best athlete on the team at QB and everyone else just stay out of his way and hope he wins us a game because we suck something awful. Just sayin

19. B-Hil34 Lumberton 17
20. Imma go with Anahuac on this one.
21. Its very "modern" to pass the ball out of the shotgun, correct? Have you seen h.i.s.d. run spread "option" offenses...its terrible. Stats, 2-14 passing and 23 rushes for 46 yards. A great coach find a great offense AND defense that suits his players ability. LP switched to a 3-4 defense after running a 4-3 scheme since...forever.  theye did it because our starting dline was 220 lbs at best, too small to play stonefront but too quick off the ball for most lineman. The NG we had two yrs agowould be on the center before the ball reached the QB hands, and his swim move afterwards leftg lineman clapping their hands and dreading going to the sidelines. I use to doubt the size of our D every year until finally I became a believer that this 3-4 slanting line and blitzing linebackers aggressive defence LP runs works because the kids are quick and fast. All pananamyers and I are saying is run what works for your team. And if its ;oring football then so be it...the kids know who supports them unconditionally.
22. imma stay with my Baylor family on this one..magnolia west takes it
