1. LP defense is holding well. The offense is running the ball well
 2. Since i've been back on the Eastside of G.H.A.this year (was in stafford for 3 yrs), living in my 2nd home of Baytown, i dont see a big buzz for football like i did as grew up. Since the departure of Drew Tate and Dick Olin, Baytown hasnt had a fever pitch for football.  GCM gave a jolt but LEE AND STERLING are declining. Lee's pool of athletes is barren.  I drive through old Baytown and its starting to look like a ghost town. My mother attended RSS (and still holds a few girls bball records, pic is still in the trophy case) so i was at every RSS vs Lee game and to see the game now compared to then is heartbreaking. GCM is going to be the show pony for goose creek isd for a long time to come.
 3. EAST Greater Houston Area as a whole gets on love in Houston.  KTBU (i support there thrusday game of the week) tend to play more Katy ISD games.  I understand you want to play intersting match-ups but then again...not many districts play a thursday game.  SO unless La Porte played Pasadena ISD (as deer park did against Pasadena Memorial) we wont be on TV. I'll hopefully be able to report the La Porte games so that our friends of SETX can scout us Bulldogs. I'm excited about being actually involved in SETX for more than a week (play-off matchup).
 4. Great report TexazBall!!!
 5. What scheme has Coach Gage brought.  Both offense and defense? Defensive schemes vary with new coaches just as much as defense. a new coach may not blitz as much as the old or play as much man coverage.
 6. DEER PARK is a given! but to stay within district play, I WILL SAY P.A.M.,  5 in  row will prove it hasnt been luck thes past five yrs.
 7. NOOOOOOOOO....I CANT GET THOSE CHANNELS UNLESS I DISCONNECT MY COMCAST AND PLUG IN THE NORMAL CABLE CORD.

I believe we will be able to squeeze a victory out in the last game of season against WB.
Even though that game is played in your back yard, WB is 7-1 lifetime against the Bulldogs, so I fully expect to go in there and come out with a victory.....especially given the fact that we have 19 returning starters coming back from a team that went 9-4, won the District Championship outright, and made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs last year. Barring any major injuries, this WB team will be tough to beat.
That "-1" is all i needed ;D
 11. How is NS looking this year?
 12.

I have another question. (thanks for the feedback on the previous question) What offense/defensive schemes do each team run.  I have an idea of what PAM runs because LP has played them the past 3 yrs but would love to hear from them also.  i'm really excited about the new district, i see a great level of competition.  District 22 5A was a dead lock on teams year in and year out.  The only draw back is the loss of Deer Park but LP will play them none-district.  Also, we dont play beaumont central as away so i will not be able to see the new stadium in its rookie season.  but congrats to the district on showing love to the athletic programs who will enjoy the experience.
You must be talking about Beaumont West Brook as they are 5a and in your district...Beaumont Central have been a 4a team now going on 8 years... im  aware that central has been 4A for awile, i played those schools back when they were 5A in the 90s.  and i missed typed. i did mean westbrook. thanks for the correction. 14. Who are some of the top players returning for the district?
 15. I believe we will be able to squeeze a victory out in the last game of season against WB.
 16. I've viewed the schedules for 21-5A and i'm liking La Porte chances to be district champs, at worse district runner-up. i would love to here some SETX imput.  Im a passionate LP fan and glad to see them return to the district we played in when i entered high school back in '97. wow, i'm old.  ;D

Lee handled them both years. And we all know Lee hasn't been a rolling ball of butcher knives the past two years.
all i know is the first round has been easy these past couple of years!!!!! :D :D  I wonder who we faced in those first rounds.  I think 21-5a should BE VERY AFRAID.  Every year LP pulls a stunner by making it into the playoffs.  Undersized and slow, but we beat "faster" teams.  If all your district has is  "SPEED" then prepare to get beat.  I hate that we all have to drive soooo far  to play. Oh yea, we did lose to Lee but we finished better than Lee and also beat a team from Lee's district.  Hmmmm 8)
Just about everybody "beat a team from Lee's district". Didn't Perkins graduate? You may want to slow your roll as they say, PISD is gone for at least 2 years. Didnt LP lose a Duo at running back, a veteran QB, a productive TE and a solid DE a few years ago and still made it three rounds deep.  LP wasnt tapped to make this play-offs this year and to most peoples suprise, we did.  I'm well aware of the "history" of 215 (i played my freshman year in that district and was successful  district champs in all three major sports) and know the pride ya'll have to have it a Golden-T district. but dont act like LP is going to be a push-over, if you do you may end up like the teams who failed to the same beliefs.  I accept the welcome and look forward to great district competition.  But i still expect LP to win. ;D
20.
Katy also knocked out Atascocita last year. Colbert's got them playing decent ball. LaPorte is no slouch, but we should beat them handily.
thats also what PORT ARTHUR MEMORIAL THOUGHT TOO!!!
 21.
I'm sure the last time LP and DP were split, they played each other predistrict....
NO THEY DIDNT. I played varsity for LP during 1998-2000 and our senior year, they kept DP in district 23 while we where put in district 24 with GBall, clear creek isd, alvin, brazoswood and pearland.  we didnt play DP in non-district OR EVEN SCRIMMAGE!!!  it happens, but i'm upset that now i have to travel to the golden triagle for my sister basketball games. i was in district with them (beau. central/westbrook, PA Arthur) my freshman year (1997) and hated the travel, we where then placed in district with pasadena isd, GP northshore, and DP (1998-1999).  The east side of GREATER HOUSTON AREA IS A MESS YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT.
 22. i see WB has played Katy.  In person, how do they look?  live action and tv viewing are two different perspectives.  I need to know if LP has a slight hope.
 23. WB load the box and make cinco throw it and they'll having the cougars offense stopped.  if they cant then i see CR winning this game comfortably.
