[color=green][font=Times New Roman]So I am highly offended that anyone who didn't actually have a child at CO could make a statement that the education the kids get at Central is better... please all three of my kids went through CO because it is where we were zoned to go.  They all made good grades and enjoyed all that CO had to offer.  My youngest is a Senior this year and has been an A-B student all through high school and has also played Varsity sports for the last 4 years.  He loved his teachers and he loved his coaches.  The lessons he learned from certain teachers as well as Coach Lynch and Coach Vandiver will forever be a factor in his life.  It is true that some kids did transfer over for the athletics . Coach Lynch coached most of their dads and that is who they wanted teaching their kids football. I dont agree in doing that but that doesnt make CO lower in academics the Central.  [/font[/color]]

All I know is I get more offended when the coach is yelling at my son than he does.  He says it motivates him....  and that if the coach didn't yell then how is he gonna hear him??? LOL  So since I dont make a big deal about it he doesnt either.  The only thing that he complains about is a coach that just yells to be yelling and doesnt say anything helpful.  The kids know what coaches know what they are talking about and what coaches are just there cause they have to be.  Case in point a certain coach from CO Wilson Middle School who has ripped a new one in each and every boy that has ever played for him and the boys LOVE him.  He knows how to yell and correct them and he knows how to praise them.  The boys have nothing but complete respect for him.  Anyone who has went thru CO knows who I am talking about and knows how those boys are completely devoted to  him and he yells like no other.     

GOOD LUCK to the Dogs...  I know you have the ability to go alll the way.  It has been the most exciting season thus far to watch you boys come together as a team.  Lets take this all the way to STATE!! GO DOGS!! [font=Comic Sans MS][/font]

[color=red][font=Comic Sans MS]I wanted to say that the Center Ref for the Nederland vs LCM did a Great Job.  He kept complete controll of the game and didn't let it get out of hand.  Of course both sides played with great sportmanship so there really wasn't an issue of dirty fouls.  He has been the 1st Ref all year in MY OPINION that we have experienced that  has been consistant with his calls, calling fairly both ways.  He let the boys play a good solid game.  Great job Ref!  You could definately teach some of the others a thing or two.  [/font] [/color] 

[font=Comic Sans MS]From what I was told Nederland & PNG (Boys) are tied for 1st.  Png scoring more points on Nederland only means that they will be in #1 seed for playoffs.  If Nederland & PNG both win their games tonight (Friday) then they will be Co-District Champs.[/font]

Such a shame!! Central could really be a good soccer team.  Except for the fact that they have NO DISCIPLINE whatsoever.  But what do you expect if the coach has no class then why would his players??  There were a few Central kids that showed some class.  (The one kid in the back with the beanie on played an upstanding game) The ref let alot of serious fouls go that Central was committing and when he would call something the Central coach and fans went nuts. If the coach would concentrate on teaching his kids how to play right instead of all the shirt pulling & shoving they could really be a good team. Its really not fair to those kids.  The Central coach was eventually escorted out of the stadium by the police. One kid got mad because when a Nederland kid kicked the ball during play it hit him (hard) so he went and shoved the Ned kid then took his foot and cleated him.  Thats when the benches cleared.  I will comend the Nederland boys, they kept their cool even when they were being fouled like crazy.  Im not talking about simple fouls Im talking kick their feet out from under them and shove them from behind, practically having their shirts ripped off, stuff like that.  I like a physical game but come on it was getting crazy.  Course thats the refs fault.  If he lets them play dirty they will.  I dont remember how many cards were given out but several red ones where given to Central.  I think Nederland got one yellow.  [font=Comic Sans MS][/font]

I think that even though they say its "ramdom" testing its funny to me that the students (or football stars) that everyone knows does drugs doesn't get tested all throughout high school but another football player that is know NOT to do drugs gets tested every year since the 7th grade.  Just seems a little funny to me. If its so random how come his name comes up every year and the other one never does??????

Lumberton has always been a really good soccer team but I would love to see you take on Nederland this year.  Nederland is Awsome!! That would be guaranteed to be a good game.  Nederland is definately playing like champs.[font=Comic Sans MS][/font]

NEDERLAND BOYS 4 LCM 3 (ONE OF THEIR GOALS WAS CURTICY OF NHS) LCM HAS SOME SUPER TALL KIDS IN THE BACK BUT ALL IN ALL NEDERLAND POUNDED THEM.  GAME WENT INTO OVERTIME BUT SHOULDN'T HAVE. A NEDERLAND PLAYER ACCIDENTLY GOT IN THE WAY OF THE GOALIE AND KNOCKED ONE IN FOR LCM.  POOR KID BUT IT HAPPENS...... IN OVERTIME LCM DIDNT GET ANYWHERE NEAR NEDERLAND'S GOAL (MAYBE ONCE OR TWICE) NEDERLAND KEPT COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE BALL.  LCM IS NO SLOUCH THOUGH THEY PLAYED HARD BUT IT LOOKED TO ME LIKE NEDERLAND WAS IN BETTER CONDITION.  ASIDE FROM A LITTLE CRAMPING NEDERLAND NEVER BACKED DOWN.......GREAT GAME BOYS!

[color=red][size=10pt][font=Comic Sans MS]For as many years as I can remember boys throw punches.  What happened to the days when they could punch each other out and be friends again when they were done????  Now a days you cant do that for fear of a weapon being pulled out.  I'm not saying that its right to fight but thats what boys/men have done since the start of time. Now girls are a different story.  Thats pretty rare for girls to throw punches.  But that being said the girls are under just as much pressure as the boys to win, win, win.  And they are just as competitve.  Girls aren't those delicate little princess they use to be.  They are strong and tough but still have to be feminine on top of that.  LOL Daddy's lil girls are not to be messed with!! The Nederland vs PNG game was as expected a GREAT game to watch.  Nederland did dominate.  According to the paper NHS had 25 shots on goal to PNG's 8.  Png's defense is really good.  PNG's goalie is definately the powerhouse of their team.  Nederland's foot skills are unmatchable.  They are just amazing to watch.  The png goalie colided with someone's knee but stayed in the game for awhile untill one of his team mates called for a time out and told the ref that he was having trouble.  My hats off to that boy for protecting his team mate.  The goalie did not want to come out. And you know how boys are lots of smack talking and tempers began to flair.  Even people in the stands were yelling things to one of the NHS boys which I thought was sooo tacky.  They were taunting him.  I heard he waved  his "Your #1 finger" to them which was not right either.  But as far as the "fight" they pushed a little and said some things to each other and then you know team mates from both teams jumped up to get involved.  The tension for a NHS vs PNG game is so high and with a score so close and both teams wanting the win soooo bad there is always smack talking and a little pushing here and there.  Both teams are very competitive especially against each other.  After all was said and done they shook hands, hugged and were all friends again.....till next time.[font=Comic Sans MS][color=cyan][/color][/font][font=Comic Sans MS][/font]

[font=Comic Sans MS][/font][font=Verdana][/font]Nederland played really good against HF.  The one goal on record for HF last night was accidentialy made by one of Nederland's players.  Still amazed watching Nederland play.  Even one of the HF fans said they could tell Nederland has been playing together a long time. Great Foot Skills, they move the ball great!! Now its GO time.  png is next and that game will be the true test.  Both Ned and png usually step it up 1000 times when they play each other.  This will definately be the game to watch..  Nederland vs png Tuesday, Feb. 9  5 & 7 pm. ::)

[color=black]NEDERLAND WON AGAINST BRIDGE CITY 7-1.  NEDERLAND'S FOOT SKILLS ARE UNMATCHABLE.  BRIDGE CITY SHOWED ALOT OF POTENTIAL BUT THEY STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO.  MOST OF THE NEDERLAND BOYS HAVE PLAYED SOCCER TOGETHER SINCE THEY WERE VERY YOUNG AND IT SHOWS.  THEY ARE SO IN TUNNED WITH EACH OTHER.  THEY ARE A BLAST TO WATCH.  [font=Comic Sans MS][/font][/color]

[color=crimson][size=10pt][font=Comic Sans MS]No secret that Football rules... but some of these football boys are out on the soccer field working their butts off.  If you learn the game of soccer then you will enjoy it more.  Yes the fans for soccer are like no other - Very Passionate!  But come on you all talk about supporting the kids but if its a little too cold you wont go watch soccer??  Or its not interesting enough for you??  SAD!! The rivalry between Nederland & PNG is just as Great on the soccer field as it is on the football [color=crimson][font=Comic Sans MS][size=10pt]field.[/font][/size][/color]  You are entitled to your opinions but I really think its sad that more people don't come out and support ALL the sports not just football, baseball, & basketball. [font=Comic Sans MS]I'm so proud of our Bulldogs.  Win or loose they showed so much CLASS.  Heart and determination was seen through every game. Hands down Crosby won but what sorry winners they were.  All that dancing crap on the field after the win will come back to bite you on the butt one day.  For our boys to come back kicking and screaming in the 2nd half was awsome to watch.  They never hung their heads or stopped giving their all.  High school football is not where these boys will peak.  That is just the beginning of a great life ahead of you.  The memories and the lessons learned by playing with so much heart and class will follow you through your entire life.    Be Proud!!!  We are of you![/font]
