Brenham-[/b] What did you expect?  After 5 straight district titles and coming off a 9-2 "rebuilding" year, we'll go for a deep playoff run next year.  A 4 star recruit, Darrion Johnson, is the latest of Brenham's long line of D1 recruits and will make an impact on every game the Cubs play. [b] 2. Montgomery-[/b] The Bears are a very formidable opponent, however, they have one thing holding them back from winning district.... They havn't been able to beat the Cubs, ever.  They have speed and a young QB with a year experience.  Could this be the year? [b]3. Huntsville-[/b] Will have a great air attack, but must cut back on the turn overs.  [b]4. Magnolia West-[/b] The Mustangs have had success against every team in the district except Brenham.  I like there playoff chances. [b]5. Willis-[/b] With the states fastest guy in the 400m, speed is what the Wildkats hang their hat on.  Will it be enough for a playoff spot? [b]6. Waller-[/b] Little brother has a shot at the playoffs, but it's not likely. [b]7. Rudder-[/b] Losing Guyton will hurt any shot they had at the playoffs.  It's an uphill battle for sure. [b]8. Magnolia-[/b] Not sure when they will return to a district contender.  Second year in the spread offense. [b]9. Caney Creek-[/b] Last year they got a new coach, and things looked a little better.  I think it will take more time though.

[/quote] Not too bad.  Our pitching needs a little work, but that's to be expected with all of the youth we have.  Our team is very young.  Hitting has been coming around.  I was surprised that we upset 5A #4 CC Carroll yesterday.  We probably should have beat Cinco, which last I saw was 3-0.
