yeah brenhamfan he had seven yards against youll and we did lose but you cant honestly tell me you werent just a little bit worried until the last second run off the clock and an interception  that  ended the game. come on you have to agree going 93 yards in less than a minute scoring a td, then an onside kick which we did recover, then going down to the wire, im not gonna mention that bad call made by the refs when dron burned you lls #81  who bytheway was holding onto dron all night  slipped out of bounds and they blew the whistle saying dron stepped out of bounds. if they dont call him out of bounds cubs lose 28-27  but they didnt see the holds and did call him out, your defense was stellar in the first half but the second half it was a different story,

WOW!!! All those "if's" and "but's", post filled with excuses.

I was begginning to think I was reading one of Coop's WOS game posts. ;) ;D

ROTFL...  I still say if we wernt up 20-0, we don't go to a prevent defense.  That means we slow the passing down.  That fumble at the end gave y'all hope, and yall almost came threw.  Jeremy Hall did what he does best though, and went and got the jump ball for the interception.

    :o

I was checking out that eastexasports website and came across a comment from the Brenham vs PNG thread that made me smile...

    Remember that?   ;)

Wow...  thanks for the reminder of what happened last year...  most of us have moved on to cheering our teams on to what may come this year. Good luck to Brenham and hope to see them in another match-up with PN-G in the playoffs.
Likewise.  Good luck this year!  I'll be at the GP game scouting.

Put me down for 6 vats of Tin Roof (I loved that stuff!)

Back to the possibility of schools moving, you'll probably see schools like Huffman, Splendora and Cleveland move up to 4A.  Silsbee is in the zone of possibility.

Anahuac and maybe even Buna and Kountze could be moving up to 3A if the plan sticks.
We'll sure to give them a warm welcome to 4A if they make the playoffs. :D

Very modest bunch, those coog fans...    ::)
We do our talking between the white lines. But I will tell 20 4A this, what happened to Nederland last year against The Coogs ? And the year before that we took out yalls so called district champs (Lumberton ). Better luck in 2010. Can't wait ! ;D

I'm just giving y'all a hard time...  I met coach Flanigan over the offseason.  Good coach and an even better person.

dont get your hopes up brenhamfan the chances of us going d1 is slim to none, i like our chances of possibly meeting your cubs again this year but we will just have to wait and see. Come on preseason lets get it started , can i get a heck yeah?????
Heck ya!!!   It doesn't matter to me if you go D1 or D2. :D I think it would be in yalls best interest to hope for D1 though. ;)
Count on meeting up with Angleton, Friendswood, Central, Stratford, Montgomery or Dawson if that happens though.  Those schools are just about locks for a D1 playoff spot.

How about this wrinkle.  What if you took the best players in 20-4A and 19-4A, Had them practice under the best coaches from their respective districts and then played a game.  Who would win?  Who would coach? Who would be on the team?

I'm not so sure I would say that.
Dayton has a good team I am sure, but they lost to Crosby last year and nearly got beat by Barbers Hill.
They may win the district, but they are certainly not in a league of their own.
Our league starts November 12th, maybe we'll see you there.
Gotta love that were in the same league...  :D
If we both win our districts, we'll be meeting November 18th or 19th...
Reason being, y'all placed second in your district last year, when we got first and vise versa, the year before that.  If we both finish first, we'll be meeting before the regional final.

    lol nice try

Just wondering, cuz I've seen it done both ways.

I see this being like the Brenham vs Huntsville game the last 2 years.  If you don't know how that turned out, they came to Brenham and beat us 21-0 in 2008.  In a 2009 we played in Huntsville and returned the favor, 30-14.  I see Dayton winning this year.  That's the only way to get that 28-0 flavor out of there mouths.
