I'm going for Crosby. It seems that Brenham is very, very cocky. "WE bat .999 and and WE beat the yankees and WE do this and that and blah blah blah". GO COUGS!

Both teams have impressive records.....  Call it what you want...cocky, confident, swagger, etc.  We talk alot, but we back it up.....  If you wanna be the best, you have to beat the best, and untill were eliminated, we are the best.  (Defending region 3 champs) Crosby will have it's chance...  Let's see what they do with it.

I agree, but i'm standing by my pick.  It's just my opinion, based on what i've seen after watching both teams play this year.  Anything could happen though.  I think all series should be 3 games.

During that Brenham tourny LCM was in the Montgomery bracket so BrenhamFan probably only got to see LCM play one game. Based on LCM's performance during that game I dont blame BrenhamFan for thinking Magnolia is the better team. Since that lost LCM has lost 8 games.
    2-Nederland - 20-4a champs
    2-PNG - 20-4a 2nd place
2-KP - 19-4a champs. LCM also bet KP twice.
1-Bridge City - its Bridge City
So LCM has lost to 4 different teams since then. All made the play-offs. 3 of the teams have advanced to 2nd round and LCM elimanated the 4th team. I believe LCM has suprised alot of people this year, havent heard too much about them other than they have no experience, lost too many to graduation, cant hit, and have no pitching depth. The great thing about this TEAM is that it is not a one man TEAM. Every player has contributed to the TEAMS success. If LCMs season was to end tomorrow, they have no reason to hang their heads. We are all very proud of yall. Good luck Bears.

Crosby is a good team, but I think Brenham has better offense, more experience, Wellbrock is 12-0 and Brenham has had the harder schedule.  I'm not saying Crosby doesn't have a chance, just that Brenham is favored.  After all, they were the ones that wanted one game, instead of a best of 3 series.  Can't wait to watch this one.

So he did not take the loss against Magnolia?
No, they put up 7 runs in the 7th to beat us 9-8.

My prediction is Brenham 10-1.  Just too strong for Crosby.  They flipped Brenham for one game for a reason.  They are rolling the dice to try and put together a perfect seven innings.  It happens in baseball.  The team that plays best on game day wins.

I am not downing Crosby, (I am touting Brenham) but Brenham gets the check mark in every aspect of the game.  1) Playing basically at home.  (summer and fall lands them in Langham Creek) 2) Brenham tradition 3) Coach with over 500 wins 4) they are better at all nine positions 5) team speed 6) more power 7) higher team batting average (don't know Crosby's but I bet it is not higher than .390 8) strength of schedule

I may be wrong.  I have only kept up from afar after seeing both teams play early.  Tried, but can't think of any category that Crosby would receive the check mark?

    Huge underdog!

    Good points...

Magnolia in 2.   Just a flat out better team.  I've seen both teams against Brenham this year....   LCM was run-ruled and Magnolia put up 7 runs in the 7th to beat Brenham 9-8, one out of the two times they played Brenham.
I'm not saying that you are wrong because I don't know anything about Magnolia except that they are a good team but you are basing your prediction about a best of 3 series from a single game from two months ago?
Ya....wut they did 2 months ago is still part of their season and why both both teams are seeded where they are.

EVERYBODY, i think we got a great chance at doing that also, Coach Faircloth and his staff went up to Auburn to study the defence and while thay were at it they went to Alabama to study the "O" schemes so nothing will look the same as last year, sorry Brenham fan but i want to beat yall most of all
That's understandable....  Looking forward to it, but both teams will have their work cut out for them.  It will be an interesting season.

Congrats!  So far both teams are on path for that rematch from last year.  If both teams play like they are capable of and don't underestimate their opponents in the playoffs, it could get really interesting.
One game at a time my friend. I have seen this happen to many times. One of the old cliches that i like and is true " YOUR ONLY GOOD AS YOUR LAST GAME " . I've allready heard it in the stands, the big Nederland/Brenham rematch. My schedule has us playing Lumberton friday night, that's the one i'm looking at. I hope nobody gets wrapped up in the "possible" rematch.
Oh I know what you mean.  I was just saying both teams are headed in the right direction.  I never count anybody out...every game is important and the playoffs just justify that.  Lots of good teams in this region and anythying could happen.
