1. I hope it would be, because it's starting to become a pretty good rivalry.  All that talk is just friendly trash talk to spice up things.  I'm well aware, as I'm sure you are that PNG and Huntsville are formidable opponents, that are very capable of ending either one of our seasons.  I'm sure coach Lane has the boys focused on Huntsville though, so I doubt they will overlook the Hornets.  He's a very successful coach sculpting a very young team.  Hopefully both of us do win, so we can settle the series.  That would be awesome.  Sorry if you took what I said the wrong way...
  2. 2009- State Finalist.  Led by Utah bound Terrell Reese, SMU committ Jeremy Hall, and Utah commit Michael Walker.  Brenham came up just shy of their first state title.  Coach West claims this team had the best chemistry out of all the teams he's coached.

2005- Semi Finalist.  We were upset by Calallen, with what was prolly our most talented team ever.  This team was led by Jarrett Lee (LSU), Brandon Collins (Texas), A.J. Edwards (Houston), Justin Daniels (Houston), Lester Ward (Nebraska), Kyle Mangan (A&M), Trenton Thomas (TCU), Kendrick Washington (Tulane), Kendrell Washington (Tulane), Ryan Roberson (Nebraska), Ahmad Howard (Texas), Luke Poehlmann (Texas).  Loaded with D1 talent.

2002- State Finalist.  First title appearance, falling to Denton Ryan.  Led by Limas Sweed (Texas), Jeff Filmore (Houston), Wade Sisk (TCU), Dustin Moore (Arkansas).

To be the best, you have to beat the best....untill somebody beats PNG in yalls district...they have to be the favorite.  Doesn't mean it can't be done though.

    Not necessarily.
It depends on what all they have coming back and what all everyone else has coming back.
I don't agree with the steadfast rule that just because you did it last year you are favored this year.
    It's completely different teams.
I would agree with you, but they have this returning....Very accurate QB with experience, kids returning from a varsity team that just lost once last year and it was in the playoffs, an undefeated JV team, awesome coach, and I'm sure were all aware of their following...   That being said, others have their opinions on why their school should be favored.  I understand they lost a very talented HB, but when both your varsity and jv teams went undefeated in the regular season, it's hard to pick against them.

Crosby 9-2, needs to be there on the list.

    I agree...

Lumberton is 10-2 and sits at #9.  Where do you want to put Crosby?

What's each teams best 2 wins and who did they lose to?

Hopefully my Aggies win their first two games so that I can watch them in person at Reliant Stadium in the South Regional!!!

    WHOOOOOOOOP!!!

I'm with you.  My 2 favorite college bball teams are Duke and A&M.  If both make it to Houston not only will I get to watch them both, but if i'm not mistaken, I'll get to see them play each other.  I can't believe how this could work out.  I've seen A&M play, but other than this, I might not get another chance to see Duke.  Especially, considering how far Durham is, the fact that Cameron only holds right under 10,000 people and that Duke games are near impossible to get tickets to.
  6. Sorry for the wrong info on Weiss, but he hasn't been pitching this year, unless needed.  Halden Maynard seems to be our main weapon.  I guess coach Long has been experimenting through these tournaments.  Wellbrock is still our #2.  Just wanted to correct that.

Whoever Angleton plays in the 3rd. They have lost in the 3rd rd the last 2 years. But I know Texas commit Quandre Diggs is gonna take this team past the 3rd rd this year
We'll see about that. Diggs is awesome, but him alone won't get you past the 2nd or 3rd round.  I do wanna play y'all again, because it's always fun to watch somebody with talent like Diggs.

I'd like to see Dayton punch Angleton in the face at the beginning of the year.It will be fun to watch the chronicles 4-A darling get frustrated by a team (Dayton) that plays solid, disciplined defense.  I also want to see ol Ballpoint get mad and lay out Quandre Diggs when he tries to turn the corner.  (Ballpoint better be hitting the weights hard this offseason, somebody let me know how he is progressing. That kid could be really, really good)
:D lot of talk a bout a kid that ain't gonna be there next year. But don't worry diggs will be there next year. Should be a good game but Quandre Diggs getting laid out doesn't seem like it'll happen cuz it hasn't happened much the last 3 years cuz them cats r fast. But hopefully this is just a preview for a 3rd round playoff matchup. I would love the cats to beat Friendswood again. The cats have won 3 of the last 4 years
I was hoping they could come up with a very creative eligibility loophole for the kid.  (Thought he was a junior, maybe we can have AJ re-enroll since cougarland didn't work out) But i'd still like to watch someone put a lick on Diggs because I haven't seen it happen yet.  Also, is angleton going to get smart and stop trying to press at the line of scrimmage with their DB's?  That's what cost them the game against Brenham.
The blue print to beating Angleton- You won't stop Diggs, but stack the box to slow him down.  Force them to put it in the air.  On offense, wheel routes and screens work well.  That should free up your receceivers from the press.  Mix in a couple of fade routes and eventually you'll end up behind their DB's.  While they have had all offseason to correct their defense, when that strategy is run right, it's hard to stop.  They lost most of the track team they fielded in the backfield so Diggs has even more weight on his shoulders.

All 3 of these are good.

    Brenham- Chase Wellbrock
                  Erich Weiss
                  Halden Maynard
Who would you say is your big gun? In a one game series title on the line who would start?
I would say the UT commit, Erich Weiss.  Chase Wellbrock has improved over the offseason though and makes for a dynamic #2.
