I'm gonna go with Montgomery.  It's really important that the Bears get the D1 #1 seed to have a better chance at a successful playoff run.  I say this, cuz Georgetown who just dropped down from 5A is undefeated, and looks really good.  The only way Montgomery isn't the D1 #1 is if they get another loss and if Huntsville wins out.  Keep in mind, Montgomery's remaining schedule is fairly easy, and Huntsville still has to play @Magnolia West & @Brenham. [/quote] Any #1 ranking is a bulls eye, so learn to embrace it.  When your ranked that high, people arn't always going to cut you any slack just cuz the game was close.  Even if it was to a state ranked team.  People like to see the high profile teams fail.  To setx, PAM is really high profile.

I'll be pulling for a Laporte win on the 24th setting up a district title game in Week 10. A Brenham win assures the Cubs a playoff spot.  A Rudder win keeps their playoff hopes alive. IMO, Brenham is coming together just at the right time.  The defense has been looking great.  The rushing attack has been on point.  Even the passing game is beginning to have some success.  The more reps the soph QB has gotten the better he's gotten.  Coach West has opened the playbook up more and more, and Thomas seems to be picking it up just fine.
