1.
From our district I would bump LCM down to a 2. No playoffs in the last 5 years. Also Tx City is probably a 3...What have they done the past 5 years? Not sure they have even made the playoffs. And Terry? I would swap Dawson and BHam. Dawson gets a knod for the D1 recruits, but No Title game yet. By that same assessment, BHam has the D1 recruits and a title game appearance.
My reasoning.... Every team you listed was borderline for me. Barber's Hill-  Borderline between 3 & 4 to me.  I only gave them a 4 due to last years undefeated regular season and district title. Brenham- I was trying to avoid handing out a 6 to teams that have never won a state title.  The Cubs are easily a 6 when it comes to D1 recruits, but despite going 20-0 in the last two regular seasons, they were bounced really early in the playoffs both years.  That's what makes it hard to decide between a 5 & 6 for Brenham.  You could build a case either way.  In the end, I'll give Brenham the nod for a 6, based on their D1 recruits. Crosby- No problem moving the Coogs up after what liltex pointed out. Dawson- I'm cool with dropping the Eagles for a couple reasons, but the reason I had them so high is how good they got & so fast.  I havn't seen a team really rise that fast, aside from Sping DeKaney last year.  They also have loads of D1 recruits.  Here's what they have against them though... No state title and still a very new school, so they're not as established as others. (though they are on the rise quickly) Winning the region this next year or two would put them back at a 6 for me though. Dayton- I feel the Broncos are pretty even with th the Cubs, so since I moved the Cubs up I guess I'll have to move them up.  Brenham's key to a 6 was the D1 talent, so I guess I'll use Dayton's consistancy as theirs.  (Meaning no upsets in early rounds) Up to a 6. LCM- I can't really argue with you there.  After pointing out the playoff drought, they are for sure a 2. Terry- This team is very underrated year after year.  They also play in a very tough district. Texas City- They have a state title or two and has a lot of talent every year.  They have been falling off as of late, but they are a good team.  I'll drop them, but I'd say atleast a 4.
 2.
If this is suppose to be 4A Region III only, then why is La Marque and Yates listed?
I forgot.
 3. I'm not sure how many of y'all have played NCAA (the college football video game), but on there, it list the current prestige of of each team, based on their talent & recent acheivements.  I thought that it would be interesting to list a few high school teams the same way.  I'll start in 4A region 3, since that's what I'm most familiar with.  If you wanna help, give me your opinion on what you consider an accurate assessment of each team, based on the talent they will field this year, D1 recruits they have recently turned out and recent acheivements.  The scale goes from 1-6.  After a week or two, hopefully I'll have enough opinions to get this done.  If not, I guess it's still worth a try. *Based on the last 5 years..... Brenham- 6 Dayton- 6 Pearland Dawson- 6 Angleton- 5 Friendswood- 5 Montgomery- 5 Terry- 5 Beaumont Central- 4 Crosby- 4 Georgetown- 4 Humble- 4 Huntsville- 4 Hutto- 4 Lamar Consolidated- 4 Livingston- 4 Marshall- 4 Nederland- 4 Pfluggerville Connally- 4 PNG- 4 Stratford- 4 Summer Creek- 4 Texas City- 4 Tomball- 4 Willis- 4 Barber's Hill- 3 Bastrop- 3 Bay City- 3 Baytown Lee- 3 Elgin- 3 Foster- 3 GCM- 3 Kingwood Park- 3 Magnolia West- 3 Manor- 3 Ozen- 3 Vidor- 3 Waller- 3 Willowridge- 3 Brazosport- 2 C.E. King- 2 Galena Park- 2 Galveston Ball- 2 LCM- 2 Lumberton- 2 Magnolia- 2 Rudder- 2 Santa Fe- 2 Sharpstown- 2 Austin- 1 Bastrop Cedar Creek- 1 Caney Creek- 1 Davis- 1 Georgetown East View- 1 George Ranch- 1 Lee- 1 Milby- 1 New Caney- 1 Northbrook- 1 North Forest- 1 Porter- 1 Reagan- 1 Spring Woods- 1 Tomball Memorial- 1 Waltrip- 1 Wheatley- 1 JMO until I hear some others....
 4. AMEN....  Good luck everybody. Go Cubs!
 5.
See Dave Campells football  magazine... They called PNG the panthers.... Insulting....
Haha...  I knew what you were talking about.  I was waiting for Scooter to catch it.
 6.
Vidor will make it farther in the playoffs then any other 4A team in SETX.
SMH....  Better hope your Pirates don't go D2.  ;D

That 2001 season was fun and a little weird.
;)
 9.

Must be a "young" Ozen Panther with all that bad spelling...lol.  Despite me being a Jaguar and also pulling for Ozen, until proven otherwise, Nederland is not overrated.
Applause for this...  and not because he's a fellow Jag...
I dont't know Soulja....  Looks like Jags favoritism.  I said the same thing on page one.  You didn't pick up on it til a Jag said it.  JK.  ;D
 10.
Are the bullpups overrated? They were one play away from losing to a "weak" vidor team and should have lost to Ozen. Even though they are returning a ton a starters are they the real deal or all hype?
Either way you look at it, Nederland won those games last year and won the district.  Coulda, woulda, shoulda....  Bottom line is they got the job done, and until somebody stops them, they have to be the clear cut favorite and rightfully so, with what they have returning.  If Nederland was ranked in the top 10, I'd say they were a little overrated, but they arn't.  IMO, they are right where they should be.
 11.
my favorite part of preview is in key games they have stratford at magnolia west...   nice to see that chron thinks mag west can prove themselves with a win over the spartans...last year was a real beatdown shs put on mag west, not sure if that will happen again, but i see a shs win   also agree, have not been all that impressed with magnolia the last 2 yrs...ill be keeping my eye on this district, be popping in from time to time....
Good luck in yalls new district.
 12.
Don't sleep on Magnolia I told you guys that they are going to be better than ya'll think. Good luck to ya"lls teams but don't take this bulldog team lightly them may just sneak up on you.
Good luck to Magnolia.  Hope y'all stay healthy and challenge for a playoff spot.
 13.
85% of the Cubs in the pic shown graduated  ;D
We'll be ok.  The new guys are ready to step up and continue the tradition!
 14.
Predictions are predictions so I don't care if Crosby is picked first or last. It will all be settled on the field. But not listing Austin Walter as a player to watch? That's effing ridiculous. 8) Here's 8 minutes of nothing to watch. ]
They didn't list our district's best player (Darrion Johnson) as a "player to watch either.  SMH.  It is the Houston Comical though. Looks like 19-4A will be interesting though.
 15. Brenham's 2 biggest district games.... Montgomery- Away Magnolia West- Home
 16. They sure raised our season ticket prices.  $60 @ piece is getting a little crazy.
 17. I agree.  Magnolia is getting a lot more credit than they deserve.  Other than McGowan, I don't see much of a threat.  Maybe their HB, but it talks about them installing a new offense, and that usually takes time.  The middle of 18-4A is pretty even, so things should be pretty interesting.  Mag West has to play Brenham & Montgomery both on the road, which could make things a little tougher for them.
 18.
Shhhh you'll wake up FWfan ;D
Rut ro....  Don't let that happen!
 19.
Pardon the pun, but i don't have a dog in this fight. 22-21 vidor in a stunner. upset of the week.  :o
If Vidor lives up to the hype, it's not too big of an upset.  I'd say it's an upset, but a small one.
 20.
One of the twins ran a 4.64 at a summer combine. I would say crosby has descent speed and thats about it.
There's a difference though.  You take that 4.64 & add in a lot of elusive moves, (which the twins have) and it seems more like a 4.4.
 21.
Anybody think Canada got hosed?
Heck no!  I'm surprised people are making such a big deal out of this.  The goalie was warned and clearly didn't take the warning seriously.  Also, that was a handball in the box, otherwise would throw their arm out to trap or knock the ball down.  Sore losers?

We don't have to imagine here ;)
Blah Blah Blah, broken record --
Atleast we have the record though ;)
yeah the record for being most annoying. I think that should be a poll. What teams fans are most annoying.
I think Vidor is the new front runner in that poll.  ;)
 23.
Off topic from the idiotic poll, but an interesting parallel between the Brenham/MW and Dayton/MW games: Halftime: Brenham over MW 33-6 Dayton over MW 31-9 During 3rd qtr: Brenham 40-6 when Richards breaks a 73-yard run to make it 40-13 Dayton 41-9 when Richards breaks a 76-yard run to make it 41-16 End of 3rd: Brenham 47-13 Dayton 41-16 Final: Brenham 47-13 Dayton 41-23 Useless information, I know. Boring lunch hour today.
Man, your pretty good.  Lol.
 24.

That would be great logic. Problem is dayton was a very young team last year so you can sit back and watch the show. The team that spanked mw has  14 starters coming back and we all know how sc handled mw.
That would matter if it were Aledo and not MW.  We beat MW by 34, but that doesn't mean much.
it would if mw had beat you like a drum. Thats the same attitude brenham had when they played kp. Beating kp probably didnt mean much either.
A win is a win and a loss is a loss.  Ready for the season to start already!
