Now finish it. Brenham has been in this spot the last couple of years and can bounce back. Step on their throat and take game 2. Good luck BH.
Spoken from a former PNG fan that saw this happen first hand last year.  ;)
Yep, and I was at that series. Never let your guard down against the Cubs.
I think I met you at game 1 last year.

I am not sure why Brenham did not go with their ace tonight. Brenham was extremely sloppy in the field tonight. Long was flirting with disaster all night but seemed to get the play he needed every time. Should be a very good one tomorrow night. BrenhamFan, enjoyed the dinner before the game
Likewise, about dinner.  I'm not sure why Long had a freshman that hasn't seen much playing time all year, starting at the hot corner for the biggest game of the year, but he did.  He was responsible for 2 or 3 errors, but a few of his team mates were too.  Just an uncharacteristically sloppy game all around by the Cubs.  If I'm looking for a silver lining here, I'd say the heart that our guys showed.  Down 7-0 in the 6th, we could have packed it up, but we put 5 runs up and made it interesting.  We have Stegent throwing tomorrow, who's coming off of a nice performance in his last outing against LCM.  I'm sure the ride back won't be too pleasant, and Long will have the boys primed and ready for tomorrow.  Look for Brenham to bring their A-game now that our backs against the wall.  BH was the better team tonight, and showed it, except for Long's control issues.  It's win our go home tomorrow....  Should be a great environment!
My kid was on that 2009 team at BH that Brenham beat in the bottom of the 7th. That one still stings Brenham Fan you are a class act like the cubs you right great post Just a shout out keep it up
Thank you.  I just speak my mind.  Sometimes people like it, and sometimes they hate it, or get "annoyed".  Either way, I give my opinion.  Looking forward to tonight's game!
Brenham... one of those schools that PN-G always seems to have a problem getting a win from. Great athletes, fans and pride in their schools programs.  Whether it's baseball, football, band or basket weaving...  when you get a win against this school, you have to earn it and can rest assure that you have the better team. BrenhamFan is also one of the few that can talk the talk and back it up with factual information.  Routing for you guys to come back and take this one!
Thanks.  Extra support is always welcome!  :D

If they have the talent they will be noticed, big small dumb smart it doesn't matter, someone will notice
There's exceptions to every rule.
lol the starter that had 6 walks and 3 Hit batters? Sounds like he was flirting with disaster all night.
So how many runs did Brehnam score off of this "flirting with disaster dude"??
Just one solo HR to center, by Stegent.
