Daingerfield defense scored one TD and set up another short drive with a fumble recovery and ran a punt to inside the 20 so that keeps the stat total down some.  EC played hard all night , just too much speed on the field for the Tigers.  #25 is indeed the real deal- they spread the ball around on offense but when he does get touches he makes big plays.  It should be a good game next week vs Newton- the closest game anyone gave them last year in the playoffs
Didn't come to talk trash, we all know about last nights game. I just wanted to give EC a congrats on a good season. From what I read yall have played hard all season and set a goal for future teams to meet and excede. In Daingerfield we grow up around football so things are expected but you are now laying the groundwork for your own traditions. No matter what people say on their computer, they were not on the field every play or during the two a days so they have no right to down you or your team. Keep your heads up and just to let you that you did gain respect. I now know East Chambers and have added it to my list of teams to watch next year!
I was looking at the video.  Maybe it was just me, but the defenses were horrible.  The D-Line gets no penetration.  Also, when the LB's are in positions to make tackles for short yardage, they just stand there and wait for him to come to them, instead of attacking him and meeting him in the backfield.   I don't think he could do this against an 'Angry' Defense that will meet you back there like they have a purpose...
The only time an opposing defense is angry is when the game is over and the see the mess they made. I understand you support schools from your area and thats the way it should be. That non "Angry" defense only allowed 6 points in that state game. They also stood up to a very strong Newton team. This year, check your stats, in last 5 games D'field has put up 315 points to their opponents 35. Thats hungry and thats just plain good football no matter where you are in this great state.
Even though this is suppose to be a highlite film of Dangerfield's RB Koko Smith, I was way more impressed with Dangerfield's offensive line than I was with Smith. A lot of runningbacks would do what Smith did in this video with that offensive line.
I agree with that statement but you got to admit he's pretty good. The D looks good in this video too.
So, run 100% of the time like vid prjects?
I wouldn't say run 100% of the time but run it until they stop it. Most of the time they can't but if they get tight in the box that's when the D1 WR takes over and the QB has a heck of an arm. Just too many weapons.
Because we have someone from Woodville that has been starting stupid threads. And we may get blowout but EC has earned to be here.  And I really think it is WORTH WATCHING, kids that have been talked about all season, that everyone has more talent and are faster, and etc. etc.  But looks like this team has more heart then alot of teams, and a great coaching staff.  So GO EC BUCS win or lose y'all have done a great job this year and have alot to be proud of.
Well said!!!! Only teams that are here made the tough plays, pulled out a victory when they had too or whatever scenario you want to choose. EC EARNEDthe right to be here. The outcome will be up to the players on the field. I have my own opinion of the outcome but out of respect to yalls site, I will keep it to myself. But I feel nobody can trash a program that has made it to the third round of the playoffs.
As a member of the Tiger Nation, I will agree that last years basketball incident was classless. Some of our fans, just like everywhere, don't know the meaning of sportsmanship. But, the incident started in the State game I believe it was 98 or 99. We played Newton and they beat us but they threw basketballs onto the field in the third quarter. I agree we shouldn't have done it but we have one of, if the best programs in Texas. We are not all like that and do not deserve the bad rap we get. The incident last year was pay back but still not a good representation of Daingerfield. But to get to Newton we must first get through E.C. Daingerfield Drive for Five 68,83,85,08 and ?
No that is wrong, I played on the 98 team we won 21-0 and there was never one basketball thrown onto the field. Don't make stuff up. Only thing that happen in that game was at the end when some of the younger fans tried to tear down the SFA goalpost.
Not making stuff up. It happened, you may not have seen it but it was done. I was trying to apologize for some of our rude and classless fans that did that to Newton. But on the other hand you can't deny it was done to us. Yall were the better team that day, I will admit that but you can't justify rude and tasteless behavior from fans on either side of the stadium.
Since you say it didn't happen, FigNewton98 on SDC still talks about how funny it was and that yall (Newton) would do it again, if you win. So it happened, even your own fans are admitting it!

On smoaky.com many Arp and Dangerfield fans think that we are cupcake teams in Southeast Texas. Arp is ranked #2 in the state, but who have they played?? All of their opponents aren't very good. Dangerfield is suppose to be so good, but got blasted by Gilmer, they have no respect for Newton or Kirbyville at all on that website.
Everyone gets blasted by Gilmer. Fact
except Arp lol ha ha
Thats cause arp didn't play them. Daingerfield chooses to play 3A teams in non district instead of choosing weak 2a or 1a schools to pad stats. Daingerfield I believe ended with the #1 state ranking over arp. Yes Gilmer beat us but they have a good shot at winning state in 3A. One more fact for ya, Gilmer beat us last year too and was also our only loss. Just like this year, no disrespect intended Newton fans. Arp is over rated and will be lucky to play one more week. Daingerfield on the other hand has proven what we can do and are on our way to do it again. Can Arp say back to back? Yes they can.
What do you mean BACK TO BACK??? You mean back to back LOSSES?? ;D Playing 3A teams is also something Kville does. We dont play anyone in 2A during non district . I think this is why we also adapt and play well against tougher 2A teams. jmo Not knocking Kville, just stating that arp is over rated. arp has chocked back to back while D'field is go for back to back state titles. no offense to anyone. Just get frustrated with people knocking D'field for nothing. Yes I think we are the team to beat and I understand that there are plenty of teams out there that would love to do it. But until they do, we are the defending State Champions.
