  1. I saw a different side of Silsbee tonight. They were EXPLOSIVE!!! Normally they eat up the clock and just wear down their opponent. They were put to the test by a determined defense and came up with some huge plays to stay ahead. Unbelievable plays for huge yardage and touchdowns!!! If they can keep this in their arsenal along with the ground chewing running game then Silsbee will be a force to reckon with. Focus now Tigers. You know you can win if you play mistake free ball. Focus and challenge yourself. Too many false starts tonight. Go tigers!!!
  2. First and foremost I MUST give mad props to them Wildcats!!! They had that misdirection going wild. Never knew who had the ball. That Byrd kid is the real deal. A tough runner with great vision. I would love to see them play further, hate to see them lose but I am glad them Tigers triumphed. Some of the most amazing plays I have ever seen in High School Football!! Congrats Tigers!!!!
  3. Is it true that we put in our second team defense until late in the 4th qtr? I saw where we had a BIG lead and Rhodes only had about 35 yards in the first half but he ended up with 175 yards at the end of the game. Not trying to be rude or rub it in just wondering if the defense relaxed that much in the second half. Either way great game for rhodes getting 175 yards. BK Johnson continues to impress. Tigers!!!!
  4. They are hitting their stride at the perfect time. Playing playoff caliber football finally. They are devastating when they can control the clock the way they did. Great Job Tigers!!!
  5. Fantastic Job, Tigers!!!! Keep this focus and keep improving as well. Looks like Silsbee has developed some passing skills to go along with that devastating rushing offense. KUDOS' to Coach McGallion for working on that. Love to see the success come out on the field. Playoff bound!!!
  6. Tigers' Baby!!! Wish I was at this game. Had to work nights..
  7. glad to hear it. Good win tonight stangs! OF is a tough team. QB is a gamer for sure.
  8. From the looks of the first half it will be SALTY, SALTY, SALTY.... Must be hard being Balla. Wait a minute, No sympathy.
  9. Believe it or not OF has a pretty good ball control game. Unfortunately, WO-S doesn't need a whole lot of time to score against that kind of team. (See Silsbee) WO-S works on new material for the playoffs, possibly improving depth confidence by playing new players in key roles. This is how you keep reloading every year. Run your record to 8-0 and then prepare for the playoffs. WO-S wins big. 52 - 10.
  10. Whatever. It is no secret that Silsbee throws the ball maybe 10 times a game. But, you have to commit 8 sometimes 9 players to the box to stop the veer. This leaves you wide open at some point in the game whether you like or not. Not to sound insulting but just ask WO-S. You have to stop the run first. I believe we outrushed them in yards and it was most likely a direct result to defending the occassional pass thrown during the first half of the game. WO-S' defense, from what I have seen, is much better than yours. Cats had better bring the A-game on defense because Silsbee will definitely run the ball regardless of how many you put in the box.
  11. Sorry guys I screwed up that link but you can find it. Oh, there has also been a Kvilleballa sighting.
  12. I sense some hostility. Then again, I might be smelling fear. Chill people. Aftr the mud and the grass stains are washed out of the uniforms everyone will know who is capable and who is not. Just some extra info, 21-AAA was not stacked. This district has been around for a very long time. Whether it was 4A or 3A. Just a few new teams added because of enrollment. Lots of history over here. Come and get a taste of the triangle. You will not like it. Tigers Baby!!!
  13. Will be in Kville come Friday. I believe the pressure is off of Silsbee now. Maybe they will not be too relaxed. Could be a real battle if both running games get off to a big start. Went to the BC - Kville game. Kville has a good back. He cuts back a lot, good thing Silsbee plays good defense. Look for a high production night for Rhodes as Silsbee will probably run a lot of pass defense to try and get into shape for some passing teams down the road. JMO.
  14. Well said Fellow 92, Is 22-AAA watered down.... Most Likely. Is 21-AAA leaking.... I think not. Bruisers and backbreakers??? You will see some bruising and backbreaking offenses come week one. First off, lets finish the regular season. But I admire the fiestyness from the sister district. Makes for better playoff matches. Game On. Football Baby!!! Friday Night Football !!!
  15. If you compare the stats between Nederland and WO-S then Micah Mosley gets the edge over Depauldrick Garrett based solely on the fact that both teams have comparable QB's in performance (except TD's). True that Garrett from WO-S has less attempts but if you look at the yards per carry production then it wouldn't matter. If you went solely on stats then M. Mosley is the better producer of the two. There are mitigating factors that you can figure into both teams, Class, Size, Speed, team strengths, etc. Too make it interesting look at the THREE backs from East Chambers, yes I said THREE. Two of them are close to a 1000 yards rushing with a QB (Tremain Thomas) who has also thrown for similiar yardage. Those two backs could very well be the best individual backs in Southeast Texas, they are definitely the best tandem backfield in the area. One more thing. If you had to award the best all around athlete on offense then the best athlete in the area is: #1 Brandon Williams Central Total Yards from Scrimmage: 1929 Yards Pierce Rhodes Kirbyville 901 81 11.1 14 Depauldrick Garrett West Orange-Stark 782 115 6.8 9 Andre Bevil West Orange-Stark 87 133 2 18 1457 Aaron Hazlewood Kirbyville 28 50 2 2 700 Micah Mosley Nederland 1482 182 8.1 18 Brandon Williams Beaumont Central 959 89 10.8 10 Michael Dugat Dayton 916 119 7.7 13 Alex Moshier Nederland 65 135 5 9 1046 Brandon Williams Beaumont Central 62 110 4 8 970 Cody Green 57 89 6 595 6 Tramain Thomas East Chambers 927 120 7.7 17 Eugene Leday East Chambers 747 106 7.0 11
  16. Kville wins over Silsbee then it may push WO-S into Div 1 bracket. Wouldn't that be interesting......
  17. Little of topic but I went to school with M. Henry and I have never seen anything like it since. Guys waiting in line to lift because he had all the 45's on the bar. Total lift when he was the strongest teenager in the world was over 2000 lbs. Crazy.
  18. Scooter, Never met ya but I spent 2 years in Korea. Can I ask what camp you are at? Did some of my time at Camp Red Cloud and then was on vacation down in Camp Carroll for the other year. 10 years Army. Been out since 2000. Honored to have you guys still serving.
  19. Do not fotget that the fromer QB (Moye) from Jasper is starting there now. Kid is just plain nasty. Don't really care who he plays. He almost beat WO-S by himself couple of years ago. If I remember right. WO-S will win because of their team chemistry, but Moye will tear them up before he is done. IMO 8)
  20. Close first quarter. Then KVilleBalla falls out of stands and distracts all of Kirbyville athletes with excuses. BC wins close game. BC 24 Kville 21
  21. A much different game plan will have to be used against WO-S than what Silsbee gave them. Can WO-S adjust to the spread offense with speedy athletes? The answer is YES. A spread offense comes at you from different angles, since WO-S' defense is on the level, I feel they will be more at home with defending the spread than the veer. Defense dominates this game against an inexperienced offense. Jasper will make big plays but will have to score on the play because WO-S will shutdown Jasper's Red Zone offense. WO-S 35 Jasper 10 Take it to the bank!!! Football Baby, Friday Night Football!!!
