  1. Depends on the players who are talking. Some of them just do that. I would consider the sources first, but this was gonna happen at first. Natural reactions.
  2. SMH Said I'd bite and take a peek inside, Not good. That post explains it all. Incapable of a sensible conversation so trying would be a waste of server space.
  3. Please... Two Topics: Under Pimp Bill: 1) Bill cut military in half, I was there don't say it didn't happen. Expensive wars happen because idealists think you can win wars with just technology alone, cant be done. Wars are only won with plain old fashion violence. 2) NAFTA - Free Trade is never good for any country. Morons.
  4. You reach for a nerve that isn't exposed. The point was this: IF, he was present at school then it was a golden opportunity to walk 100 yards to the Softball field where the Silsbee Girls Softball team was playing a district game. That was my only point. Not once did I say that parents "panties were in a wad", matter of fact it never came up.
  5. Silsbee wins 5-4 on timely hits, despite an excellent outing by (SO) C. Thrash. (WP) FR B. Forse (LP) SO C. Thrash (6.2 IP, 6 H, 5 R (1 ER), 10 K, 2 BB) The Silsbee Lady Tigers entered tonight’s contest with a 9 Game Winning Streak. (SR) B. Root got the call to pitch this game and after a couple weeks rest from pitching the rust showed early on, B. Root goes 4 1/3 giving up 2 runs on 2 H, 6 BB, w/ 6 k, leaving bases loaded in the 5th for (FR) B. Forse. B. Forse goes 2 2/3 giving up 2 runs on 4 H, 2 R (1 ER), 0 BB, 1 K. Lady Tigers score three in bottom of the 6th to take the lead off single by (FR) A. Montgomery and a double by (SR) B. Root who were scored by (SR) R. McClain with a two run scoring triple off the left center wall to finally get to (SO) starting pitcher C. Thrash, who kept the Lady Tigers off balance at the plate all afternoon with crafty speed changing pitches. HF battled back in the top of the 7th with another run of their own to tie the game at 4 but Silsbee started off the bottom half of the 7th with a walk, and with (JR) B. Bass pinch running (JR) C. Wright doubles home the winning run for the walk off win. Silsbee Lady Tigers move to 2-0 (13-3) in Region III 24-4A.
  6. First day was yesterday. Will have spring break to get situated and feel out the school. Didn't see him at the girls softball game yesterday. Parents of the girls sports would have liked to see that.
  7. Just a crass statement and you received an appropriately agitated response. just some advice, keep it civil and it usually stays civil.
  8. Let's sum this thread up.... Never mind. Im gonna try and express an opinion but I'm almost too disgusted at this point. Silsbee players obviously are plagued with one of two problems... 1) Not being coached properly Or 2) Uncoachable Or in some opinions.... BOTH. Basically they are winning on athletic ability only against inferior teams with no coaching or not enough talent. I loved every minute of this season. Thank you Silsbee Tigers Basketball for allowing me to share in your triumphs all season and your heartaches at the end. I love you guys that much more for it.
  9. I'm going with Mike J but wouldn't be suprised if K.B. gets some honors this year. Been going of since playoffs began and went to another level for him once regionals began.
  10. Mike J is prob the most dynamic player I have watched in years, can come out of nowhere and just dominate. Other times he is invisible, hard to put into words but with (SO) K. Barnes, (FR) D. McCain, (FR) J. Adams, just add water. Formidable against any team once this year's experience sinks in. add depth with existing players or new blood with freshman class. Scary again.
  11. You can't match-up with a charge call. Lincoln made their free throws off the early calls and then Silsbee couldn't go to hole as hard. Fact: you shoot %50 from across the field and 75% from the line and you'll win %90 of the time.
  12. Lincoln can't miss. Crazy shooting percentage across the board.
  13. Lincoln heavy presence in the paint and guards keeping hands up on perimeter shots. No easy looks for Tigers and the ones they have are missed. Lincoln is fast and long but key is very few turnovers. Silsbee can claw back in but gotta kill those wide open three looks. They can shoot.
  14. Aggie the webcast is real grainy. Is that normal?
  15. Uil website has the broadcast info for the boys state tournament. Including all TV channels.
  16. Just another note. Looking back Lleveland was a pre season #6 ranked team. Should be no shock that they are here and should not be taken lightly. Take them seriously Tigers and handle business.
  17. Judging from his past coaching gigs he is an O-line guru. Been part of dominant teams with great "salty" defenses (Corsicana 2011-12 & Cy-Ranch 2014-15), had to pick up something. Also, Silsbee has an apparent vacancy on staff w/ Woodard retiring. Maybe he convinces a young, aspiring wide receivers/special teams football coach (M.Allen) to join him. With our special teams nightmares in 2016, it couldn't hurt. Food for thought....
  18. Your that guy. Figures. My brother drives a wrecker. *W*An*A
