One thing BS doesnt do that Silsbee does.... Let off the gas at some point in the game. Could be a deciding factor, IF they ever played.

Again...Feel free to educate me. I didnt beat around the bush. I did not call Bridgeport disgraceful. I said the UIL. I wont address the obvious attempt to bait me into the "older player" reference. Different topic and my opinion will prob not differ from yours. Stick to the "transfers". So again... feel free to educate me on them.

Feel free to educate me after my argument: 1) Houston Population & Size : Takes about 40 min to cover most on a drive. Has its own district in 6A, 5A & 4A. Six schools per district usually. 2) Silsbee takes 10 min to cross with one high school but lets expand area to 40 min travel to include Woodville, Lumberton, Buna & HJ. In the hopes of recreating the talent pool. Really? We are going to sit here and debate the difference? I know of a few "transfers" to Silsbee. Most if not ALL lived in Silsbee. One school in One District in a small town. Your argument is sound on the rules but by bringing up ANY transfers that come to Silsbee, if you can name them, is proof that you believe it to be an ok practice.

Took a totally different path than Madison did a few years ago but Bridgeport made that move seem insignificant. UIL knew it was coming and didnt do anything about it. Dont care if there was a loophole or not. Disgraceful on all fronts.

who are we talking about? Im talking strictly about Bridgeport. Dont care about the Sterling team. It was no secret and definitiely not a surprise.

Please. Blasted by a LOADED (questionable) roster of D1 talent. Sterling was at least an all Houston team with 5 seniors playing who outplayed Silsbee . You can maybe question the Sterling team but there is NO DOUBT that the Bridgeport team was a scam and disgrace on the part of the UIL.

It never fails.....this back and forth. It is a really sad thing that this game will not happen for a couple years at minimum. Silsbee is gonna play up a level or two in classification just to get some experience for the playoff runs. I just dont see why either one wouldnt want to schedule a nondistrict matchup but.... How about this. Would HJ consider joining the Whataburger Tourney Lineup? Really great tournament and HJ would represent well in it. JMO.

Read some where that Splendora High got a big donation to help upgrade facilities. If this is true, would it help with some move ins? Coach Hire?

Historically yes, but you cant sleep on any team in this district. Just ask Silsbee (Huffman). Will be nice if Navasota would schedule WOS as Non-District as well. Two great teams!!
