Wow!! Amarillo Referees. Jesus. That's going outside the district for sure.

Big changes as well as unknowns this year. WOS bringing back a solid team that played well above expectations last year, but lost two key starting pitchers. BC losing arguably one of the best players in the area and even bigger part of their 1-2 punch pitching combo. Still it is BC and they always reload. Silsbee has back loaded JR/SOPH squad but has deep pitching and if they can hit as well as fill the catchers pos they will be hard to outlast thru district. But, hands down my money is on the LCM squad that is SR loaded and prob had some of the worst luck last year in games. If they can clean it up, district should be theirs. Not to be outdone are the rest but they seem to be thin in all areas but I will defer to those with more info.

Hate that I'm gonna miss this one. Working nights but I'll be listening to the broadcast.

If Silsbee loses.....they'll come. Lol.

I guess I'll say it again. No matter where it started it has stuck. It's one heck of a catch phrase. Past acknowledged. The only way our kids stay behind and not learn from "past" mistakes is if we hold them accountable, support them after those mistakes are paid for and no matter what we can not abandon them to those influences. We all grow up regardless. Whether or not we become a success in life depends on what was instilled in us as important and not fashionable. That's how I dress things up.

Silsbee is old school in a lot of ways. LOL! Our style (Traditional Band, etc..) is the topic of many conversations where I work.

Nail on the head, Soulja. Burn Barrels were prevalent in almost every yard outside the city limits and even in them!! From my time in Silsbee. But it was no since in trying to explain after some of the comments. LOL! Smoke-Town Records was new to me though!! Who new! Thanks for the support from some of the Silsbee residents.

Well I guess I'm at fault then as well... I just know it is a nickname for Silsbee that is embraced by the "younger" Silsbee generations. It was meant, and always will be, to be a rallying cry for support from their friends and whomever might feel the same way. Maybe, just maybe, it can become something good. I meant no disrespect or am I condoning any "activity", feel free to ask my daughter on the subject. JMO

Not condoning any actions that took place but, if there was EVER a reason to put aside ANY team distractions or reasons other than a 'ship, it happened Friday. Always was a rule when it came to family, you can be hard with family, but be damn sure NOBODY else was gonna mess with my family. The hype is out there and all teams will be stepping up to make their own statement. Let's go young men. Be healthy Mike J , know the Smoke is gonna Represent.

I believe I have spoken of this particular lineup to start, or close to it (Maze). It starts fast and if they are on it is a wrap. Second one is no slouch though,

When this team finds their center it will be something to see. This was how it should be when they are on point. Dangerously good and almost impossible to stop when hitting beyond the arc.

More interested in if they light up the scoreboard like a video game. Time to grow up and blow the doors of this season. Forget the hype.... Forget the pressure... Trust in each other and do it big. It's time young men. Handle up. Time to represent who you are, not what everyone wants.

Grades are the least of the worries, at least on the surface of it all. IMO If nobody else has noticed, then maybe its just me. The difference in mentality between last year's team and this year's is obvious to me. Haven't seen a team "celebration" or excitement during a game like last year. I wish these young men the best and hope it all works out.
