well well... a fumble. like I said. hitting drills non existent. been that way for the last ten years. I hope they win but can hardly stand the tackling or should i say the lack of. Keep fighting offense.

Not really a shock for me.. Silsbee players do not tackle very well. Apparently tackling drills are non existent during practice. A shame such an offense is going to go to waste tonight.

Quit trying to argue with this guy. Keep you're money. Lamar will benefit from the programs being put in period. Take some one of his own arguments, " Lamar has done well under Jimmy Simmons." The only reason I watch Silsbee play right now is because of Johnson. Can't stand the play calling and even though the defense for every team in the district knows what play we are gonna run he still gets it done. Flat out can play and has uncanny ability onthe field to make things happen. Once coaching at the next level is applied he will truly excel in my opinion. Good luck to him and his family.

What a waste of my time. I love the HJ and Silsbee rivalry because it is always a good game. What is funny about this whole thread is how a couple of people get so upset with one person commenting. This is a forum and the thread topic, "Shhh....were not allowed to talk about his dunk because Silsbee won", was meant to agitate and invoke the exact response given. IF the dunk was indeed a "great play" and not the topic then maybe, ALL the "great plays" should be recognized or given the chance to compete. If you want to get into a pissing contest with someone who comments on topics like ST4Life I would rather you just ask and not waste our time with stupid threads that might contain some relevant and interesting info. Not that it matters now since I am sick of the "Dunk", but I have seen Burrell dunk many times in games and most if not all of them come from him being in the backcourt after a fastbreak plus a missed shot from the opposing team. I sure hope this is part of HJ's gameplan because if it is not, then it tells me exactly why he gets the opportunities in the first place. Chew on it a while. I have no doubt that someone has a comment.

I was at this game and all the ones before it. The "Season Ticket" holders next to the scrubs have been complaining for awhile. This is where the problem began and I don't care who says it didn't. This is where I sit and I can hear everything that goes on. The students made a choice. The rules changed on them and they did not think it was fair.Choice made now deal with the consequences. Give the students their own section. Don't sell tickets for "their" section (and please do not tell me there is no room for it, I am there every game.) This is something most of us enjoy and believe it is a great beginning to getting the huge piece of wood out of some "citizens" nether regions (Love that statement by the way) and keeping our kids at the game or any school functions and out of rehab, jails and god forbid caskets. I am tired of this discussion and will say one thing more.... These great kids disobeyed a school official (no matter how screwed up their thinking was) and will have to pay the consequences. You want to see what makes this country great?? See if the banding of these students, parents and whoever else cares, makes sure that this does not happen again. See if the response matches the punishment. Everybody is talking about rebellion and revolution, fine. Throw the "tea" in the "river" and let's support our football team.

Lumberton is definately a growing community, but they are for 1 main reason...lower taxes. For that reason, I don't see them voting for more taxes. If folks are going to pay high taxes, they'd probably just move back to the big city and save themselves the gas and traffic. Heck, the gas is probably more costly than any money they thought they were saving. Maybe they are lower than what you are used too but for our area they are ridiculous. Town is stagnated and you can barely drive through that area without losing time. Used to be a 15 minute trip to Beaumont from Silsbee. Now it takes a half hour on a good day. Lower taxes...??? Please, why do you think the bond failed. I don't care what they say.

I have said it for years. How in the H$%# can you have 4 schools (FOUR!) within 5 miles of each other?? I have no idea what the situation is within the administration of WOS, but I will tell you this. The only thing positive being said about WOS outside of you're school district for the last 15 years is "boy they have a good football tradition over there." Yet you have a "New" district growing in you're backyard that will surpass you in enrollment very soon. No matter what, it is a sad day when WOS no longer plays football because there will not be a district if it keeps going the direction it is going. Just my opinion. Take it or leave it.

Plus, I think the guys that are even condiering trying to walk on that are already on campus have probably heard about the program. I think you will be suprised at the turn out due to word of mouth.

Let me dumb it down. A big name and fancy stadium will get the packed stadium. Winning will keep them A unknown name and a so-so stadium will get a much smaller crowd. Winning will keep the small crowds stable. UNLV, I don't know you personnally but it sounds like you have made you're point and believe the rest of us to be idiots who are ignorant of such things. Why? Why should he tell "us" anything? If he doesn't have finalists, or the guy he wants has applied yet, or maybe he just doesn't have the guy to do the job yet. Unless someone here is holding a check for $5-6 million that will only be released to the LU Football program Tubbs owes no information...I still stand by my previous post that nothing is going to be announced until the Texas Higher Education Board approves the spending of funds to improve the facilities at LU. Amen. I am ready for football but we have waited this long and though everyone is excited we need to be patient and let them do the job before we criticize.

Here's to Coach Gilligan and I am hoping to have a Head Football Coach with as much pride and dedication to this university to achieve similar goals. Go Cardinals.

Current stadium for Rutgers (1st Picture) was built in 1994 for $30 Million Proposed project (2nd Picture) is $100 Million Just gives you an idea that for $30 million or so we could expand our stadium to the likes or similiar to Rutgers current stadium. I do not think ANYONE would have a problem with that stadium. Would bring the house down in my opinion. See Ya

I know I haven't posted on this board in a while and especially have been quiet on this topic but what do you guys think of this stadium? It is similiar to what we now have except for the bowl effect which could be put into Lamar's Stadium quite nicely. I can imagine the seating to be perfect for our football atmosphere here in SETX. The colors are great and I get goose bumps just thinking about it. I have also included the new expansion project for this stadium to show our community what a $100 Million would get us today. This stadium cost $30 Million to build in 1994. I for one cannot wait for football to come back. I was 15 when the last game was held here and I remember going to games with my cousin as he was a senior at Lamar and I loved it. Have faith fellow football fans. I remember this game. Game was horrible. K/O for TD, P/R for TD, 1 Fumble inside the 10 for TD. Silsbee played probably their worst game of the year after routing BC 55 -0 and HF showed up for their best game. Be glad you didn't run into them during their last 4 games.
