A high school football story that'll touch your heart...

I think it says alot about both kids character: - the kid that lost his dad had the respect of his team mates to do this for him - the kid that ran out of bounds had it in his heart to see the bigger picture while in the middle of the battle Great job by all -
I am not trying to stir any pot, I do have a little inside knowledge on this and it iritates me that parents will work this to try and promote their kid. If what I have heard is correct, why didn't the parents bring this up this summer when it supposedly happened?
That doesn't sound like it warrants an admin leave.
Supposedly over the summer or sometime he assisted in some event (I am uncertain in what capacity). Some parents got together and got him a gift to say Thank You.......this is supposedly brought up in the parents list as illegal payment
I smell a rat in Clear Lake.
You sir are correct........parents of a kid that think their little Johnny should be quarteback are behind this. It is sad for the coach. I understand they turned in a laundry list of things that the coach has done wrong. The 2 people I know that have knowledge of this say it is all about a mom and dad wanting their son starting........just so you know, the coaches son is the starting QB and better than the kid that thinks he should be starting.
No way. We know how to keep it in the leather. Speaking of leather, i saw a group of Eagle mom's at Iguana Joe's the other night. Twenty years of hard living and suntanning doesn't do a body good.
At least they can fit in the tanning booth without unhinging it and propping the lid on blocks.....lol -

I thought it was Hi-larious bulldogbacker......although it was low hanging fruit there for the picking.......kinda like aggie jokes, they just seem to write themselves

Center is the guy that squats over the ball and, on cue, hands the ball to the quarterback by passing it between his legs thus starting the play for the offense. Sorry, couldn't resist

I agree with an earlier poster.....had that been my son, the coach would have had to make a stop at the hospital on the way to jail -

Baytown Sterling - the Streak
Eagle11 replied to Steven Avery's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I have said on other threads.....it is sad to watch both longtime Baytown schools struggle to the degree they have. I am a Lee grad but both REL and RSS had really quality programs for the longest. I do not know all the factors as to why and how this has happened. Good athletes not even playing football, all the redistricting and new school added....I do not know. I do know I was in a group of people and coaches were in the group and I heard the following statement when someone asked how they (the coaches) were doing through this current streak......the response floored me........I have ?? months until I retire (I cannot recall the number). I hope the kids not showing up is reflective of leadership. -

BH has dominated the district in everything ever. Yes you have a good football team and when we beat y'all at that then you have nothing but living in double wides and some government housing. If you ever want to dare compare schools or everything tied up in a bow let me know. Cause we crush. Now as far as our QB. He will go D1 in anything he wants. He is 6'2 and runs a 5 flat. Plus he is smart. You can say what you want but the kid is awesome. Now go yell at the dogs in your front yard and kiss your fat wife and tell those kids with overloaded diapers to get memaw to change them. Are you a pipe fitter? No wait. Your a welder.
Dude, you live like 10 minutes down the road. You shop at the same store I do. Thriftees. Just because you live on top of a giant salt dome that petrochem companies make billions on (tax base) and a country boy (Texas Home Builder) decided to take advantage of a bunch of uneducated shift workers and sell them overpriced cookie cutter homes, so operators like you can have a short drive over the gas pocket to work, you think you're better than everyone else? How do you think people in the Woodlands view your little stinky blip on the map? It's people like you that give BH it's reputation. It was just a few short years ago (before Enterprise and others started pumping millions into a tiny country school) that BH and it's citizens were the same camo hat wearing, skoal dippin, deer huntin', beer drinkin' bunch of folks that Anuhuacians were. But you probably didn't live there then. If you had I would give you more respect because at least it would be your home town. But no, your probably just like most of the rest, you moved there in the last few years (from a neighboring community) so you could get to the plant quicker and look down your nose at your friends who chose not to get a 300k mortgage. By the way, when do you start the graveyard shift?
So a few short years ago we were like Dayton is currently.......ok.....got it.
