I think it says alot about both kids character: - the kid that lost his dad had the respect of his team mates to do this for him - the kid that ran out of bounds had it in his heart to see the bigger picture while in the middle of the battle Great job by all

I am not trying to stir any pot, I do have a little inside knowledge on this and it iritates me that parents will work this to try and promote their kid. If what I have heard is correct, why didn't the parents bring this up this summer when it supposedly happened?

I understand they turned in a laundry list of things that the coach has done wrong. #4......The excellence of Dayton football, women, education, and housing. That is funny......I will give you the football team but the other 3 are laughable

I have said on other threads.....it is sad to watch both longtime Baytown schools struggle to the degree they have. I am a Lee grad but both REL and RSS had really quality programs for the longest. I do not know all the factors as to why and how this has happened. Good athletes not even playing football, all the redistricting and new school added....I do not know. I do know I was in a group of people and coaches were in the group and I heard the following statement when someone asked how they (the coaches) were doing through this current streak......the response floored me........I have ?? months until I retire (I cannot recall the number). I hope the kids not showing up is reflective of leadership.
