I went to Dan Pastorini's Super Bowl party last night at the Redneck Country Club. I spent about 5 minutes talking to Jackie Sherrill. I asked him about UT getting back to UT standards. He said they will under Herman but not turning any recruits around to Texas surprised him. He said he thought that was high school coaches upset at how Charlie Strong was treated. We also discussed the Big 12.........he believes it will be gone with UT in the PAC 12 and OU in the Big 10. He was really insightful to talk to

No extra pay and they should have to teach at least 3 classes

I made a trip to the Masters this year........of all of the 200 or so pics I snapped, the distant pic I was able to get of him is my favorite. Mr. Palmer may not have been the greatest golfer but he was the most important. Rest In Peace Mr. Palmer

I moved there about the time this happened and it amazed me at the people supporting him for what he did...........it was a lesson to his kid of you do what you want and daddy will cover for you

BulldogBacker......I was at a track meet last Friday and ran into Reggie Hemphill-Mapps.......he was very small to me. I would find it hard to believe he was over 165 pounds. Very nice kid though, we talked for a few minutes and he seemed really pleased with the class he is a part of.

This is correct........the rich owe us something mentality. I could not finish watching as I was truly embarrassed for her. I agree.........but look, all schools have them. El Ced was pretty well known in Austin PD as well. Some of it is kids being kids but I do believe that when you are under the microscope like college athletes are today you have to watch yourself.

I agree to an extent Pat but he was constantly questioned from the first time he had a run in, and he is well into the 3rd inning if not later in the game........I was one of them saying this kid needed discipline. But with Barrett everyone seems to be ok with a slap on the wrist. I believe DUI is something that needs more punishment as it can affect many folks just driving down the road with their family.
