Sharp got a offer from Baylor this weekend, and he won state in the 200, and on 2 relays, helping his team win a state track title.

At Vidor , he will be back with his ex co worker Coach Eskue,  great together at Kelly yrs ago.

Still comes down to what the Coaches decide.

2 ways,  He got picked by the district coaches for the district pick,  he may not have been the best player on his team for district,  and perhaps he played really well I'm the regional tournament, and different coaches pick the all region team.

Appreciate your post Coach Sodek, but what did your statement "we're still the public school champions" mean ?    And what is your opinion of AAA being boo'd ?

Even the sophomore Guard for Yates admits "lack of experience" hurt the team in the State game.  I expect they will look better next year, considering they are not losing too many seniors. 

Nederland would have to make it far enough to meet Yates  first. I don't think Nederland had the size or depth to beat Yates.

What does Booing kids, whose parents sent them to that school, have to,do with character and sportsmanship ? I,dont like an entire AAU team on a HS Team,  but it is sad that they boo'd kids. UIL will take,notice I am sure.

No any private school, 1A, or 2A

Need to lock this up It is no longer about a future move in I personally know the 2 boys that were not recruited from Africa to Yates,  pick on any other kid you want. They were both cleared by the UIL to play after sitting out last year on JV. One of them gets minimal minutes.  Silsbee played great,  awesome game , it just didn't happen for them Recruiting goes on ,  even in our on area.  Kids move around from different parents, grands, aunts, etc.  People move for jobs.

The young men who were born in Africa, didn't move to Yates from Africa. 

The kids actually have a off season football program , weight program , etc.  they have not had these in quite some time.  They are motivated to work out, when they don't have to, in their down time.  Hardin needs community support.  Even from neighboring city's.  Foes on the field, support each other off of it. 

There are Sunday workouts for anyone, who wants to come that have been happening since football stopped.  Team practice won't start till next week for the high school levels.    Matter of fact, saw a few SE texas kids at workouts, trying to get better. 

My son plays for the Defenders and practice last year was at Yates.  Coach  Wise does not stay for practice, he may have been there when practice started a few times.  I am at every practice.  Yates debate team also went to State and their communication them .
