MrGarrity is probably just yanking your chain, trying to stir the pot If you know Lance and Duane, you know they are of integrity and not easily riled. Shake the haters off

He's right. Franchise 3T 15U is not very good. And it's not jealousy. It's great to see the kids putting work to get better. Beat who you should easily handle is fine. It's good competition.

Nederland will have a good team for a few years. Great coach too. Weren't most of the top high school AAU teams in either Orlando or Vegas this past weekend, playing in Nationals, Showcases or getting there for the Super 64?

I have seen Tony since he was a little boy on the track and in youth football. He helped lead the Beamont Bulls to a Super Bowl trophy. He is a very nice young man, very intelligent. He has a great family influence. Tony, we are so proud of you. Best of luck to you and your family. Coach Mary. -

Congrats Lance. I know you'll do a great job. Lance is a 1st class guy. -
AAW. Very nice write up on Duane. He deserves a shot at AD, he has been putting in work at Kountze. He did a great job while at Hardn also. Good luck Joub you know you have supporters around you wherever you are.

I wish the man well. I doubt anyone here wants to see him fal. It is just strange to move a junior high coach to. Head C/ AD position. I could even see having another coach there as AD and interim HC for the 1st year. Most HS Head C have coached on the varsity leve. Been a coordinator, etc. Best of luck. Anyone have knowledge of the stats of middle school coach to AD jump in Tx?

There is a lot of that in AAU . I'm ok with the GEs which are older kids that are in a grade.with younger kids either because of failing a school year or being held back because of maturity issues or athletic purposes. It usually catches up to them, when the rest start catching up to them puberty wise. And it helps the kids who are playing in the correct age group, as they are already playing older, stronger players.

That is a slap in the face to not offer the AD to Joubert. I am sure this will mean more changes to come.

Good luck to the local teams and players going to Nationals and end of Summer tournaments. Work hard.

Coach Long wanted to stay at Kelly as long as he could. Great Man! He is leaving to be closer to his family. He is blessed to be able to work as an Assistant at a school closer to his parents and work toward retirement. He has been exceptional at Kelly and toward the community. I was the President of the Beaumont Bulls Youth FB League when they played at Kelly, and he was a true inspiration. He did everything he could for those young boys. He also did the same for the Beaumont Bulldogs since they started playing there. As for as who will replace him, Good luck to that Coach, Kelly has alot of talent there and a ton of support from parents, fans, staff, and Ex Bulldogs. Good Luck Coach Long from the Dumas family

Small school division had mostly jv teams,.some freshman teams and a all incoming freshman team. Great competition. Saw a lot of talent out there. Lindale a 3A schoool had a sr post player, all state this yr, was the most impressive post I saw

Local Houston Defender Select players, played in a team camp at A&M this weekend. 15U team got 2nd overall, defeating varsity teams from Houston, Austin. And Dallas area. 14U team lost in Elite 8 in smal school/ JV division. Incoming freshman at Central and Dayton played great. Sophmore at Hardin did a good job. Great to see local talent out there.

I got to watch Nederland this am, while at A&M, impressive 3 point shootiing. Not a lot of size, but talented. They beat Whitesboro and lost to Clear Creek.

Nederland is putting in work, lots of size and athletes out at A&M. A few other SE Tx boys getting work with their selct teams also. Pretty impressive so far.
