  1. Thanks for the support from Chambers County--you know we love y'all until April 24th @ 7:00 PM !
  2. Thanks 07 it was a big night for all of us! The Broncos have now won 3 in a row all against quality teams---things are looking up.
  3. Sheperd and Tarkington are half teams--together they make one
  4. Burditt on the mound and BH wins easily 12-2 in 6innings
  5. Walters pitched a great game--congrats to him and the Broncos
  6. Like when Nolan Ryan pitched for the Astros--drove me nuts
  7. Burditt pitched very well against Dayton--congrats to him hope to see someone else next time around!
  8. I understand completely but w/o analyzing them they can be twisted to mean anything--for instance a shutout, no-hitter, perfect game, or even a win is not the same thing if you are pitching against ozan or against png--the same is true if your defense is great or pathetic and so on .... so at this point it is meaningless until a full picture can be viewed later in the season
  9. Statistics at this point are meaningless. I am 49 years old and there are some teams out there that even I would look good against--ok maybe that is stretching it a little but the point is that without a very close analysis it is just a shot in the dark IMO
  10. Smesny did get stronger--with 10 Ks in the last 5 innings and striking out the side in the 7th. The most impressive thing was the Dayton defense. They played great and it appears the bats are waking up. This could get interesting.
  11. I hope so as well. This does not need to get out of hand. There is nothing wrong with a good rivalry but most baseball people remember Dicky Thon and how a pitch to the head ended his career.
  12. This is going to be a great game. I am going with BH 6-3.
  13. Let's not forget that smesny hit 4 Crosby batters, as well as the pitcher for Crosby, who in all fairness had a right for retalliation after being hit in the throwin arm by a 90mph smesny fastball. No, it's not very sportsmanlike, but this is Crosby vs. Dayton, as well as a competitive game; daddy ball is over folks...we can take it from here. Props to a spectacular pitching performance by both teams, especially smesny for giving up only 4 hits, 2 to the 3 hole for Crosby, who had all 4 rbi's and game winning hr Best game of the year by far for District 21-4a Just get it correct---three crosby batters were hit with all three being CURVE balls and for the record ALL THREE HAD TWO STRIKES on them in a very close game therefore not intentional--if you cannot see the difference then you are a "Poor Ole Sport" as well
  14. I do not remember the square footage but we stayed under the number required to install an elevator--and you are correct the elevator requirement is tied to the square footage of the press box and the elevator is very expensive--if I remember correctly about 600,000 dollars
  15. Last night I saw the BH that played KP. Solid hitting, pitching, fielding and the whole package---great teamwork and congrats on the win
  16. Intentionally throwing at a batters head is closer to criminal than classless. I stood behind the Crosby dugout after the game and heard "I told you I was gonna to do it" followed by laughter. I also personally witnessed a "portly" girl pick up a rock and throw it at Smesny--both pitiful examples of sportsmanship----but on to the game: Dayton left 12 runners on base plus 2 thrown out on base running errors. 4 errors in the book and that 2 that aren't. Then with 2 quick outs in the 7th an E-6 allowed a base runner followed by a two strike hit batter(curveball) then Smesny made a mistake and left one up---home run Bottom line: errors, lost opportunities, hbp, and mistakes on the mound are all part of the game---throwing at a kids head is not--like I said earlier the Crosby pitcher should be ashamed of himself and I hope his coach disciplines him as well
  17. The kid who threw for Crosby should be ashamed of himself. He threw at Smesny's head twice in the 7th hitting him the second time--he should be treated like the that he is.
  18. OK I was wrong about BH going undefeated. I will take my medicine. Neither of these teams were the same as I had watched previously. BH was flat, could not hit a curve, and made numerous mistakes--unusual for them. GCM on the other hand played much better than I had seen and #14 pitched a great game. He did not look like the same pitcher. On a side note I could not believe BH left the starting pitcher in at the end especially after missing badly on 4 straight pitches to put the lead off runner on.
  19. Paul Fontenot graduated in 08 that leaves X. Baldwin---if half the team is from Liberty then we have only two players
  20. like who?
  21. 7:00. See ya there...I'll even answer my phone this time. gotcha
  22. what time is first pitch?
  23. I agree with you two! Lumberton has a good core (sp?) returning (Asher, hughes, beard to name a few)..... IMO, they are the favorites until proven otherwise, especially after seeing what they did last year after losing 31? seniors from the '07 team. Not sure what Livingston has coming back but I would approach them the same way. here's to an L-Town and Dayton matchup in next year's 1st round. No way Dayton, that would mean L-town or dayton would have to come in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.......nope, i say, here's to a Dayton and L-Town match up in the FOURTH round. ;D Raiders sure won't make it to the 4th round--we have waited for you two years in a row
  24. Crosby @ Dayton will be played on Monday
