  1. agree as well
  2. Velocity...smelocity..." Hit a spot, get an out"......and I quote. That is what every coach loves to hear right there. In baseball alone you don't have to be throwing 90 to be a great pitcher you need to mix it up and keep hitters off balance. I threw mid 80's in high school way back when in 4a and it proved to be successful enough to let me play college ball. I could not agree more but it sure would be nice to bring one in every now and then at 92-93
  3. Blow it somewhere else rambo
  4. I agree BH should win it--then I see Crosby, KP, Dayton, and GC fighting it out for the last spot. It may even come down to the last game of district.
  5. scrimmage @ Huffman --10 batters was very sharp part of HJ game--how much?? 6 innings KP in tourney---sore bicep game these are what I have seen--have been other apps
  6. Frank had some tenderness in his bicep--probably from lifting. The doc said not pitching related but he needed 7-10 days rest from working it the reason for the time off---velocity will be there Friday night
  7. Walters started and takes the loss for Dayton. He pitched pretty well just made a few mistakes and KP made him pay---several errors in the field. KP is pretty good
  8. Not New York but we should be competitive in 4A if BH can get past the current problems then they should win this district---if not it may be a long season
  9. For you not so smart folks that is like a market basket bagger telling an Edward Jones broker how to set-up an investment portfolio. hmmm now that's funny......the market basket bagger could not have done worse the last six months or so than most portfolio managers
  10. My guess is that OF would beat all three of them......on the same day
  11. potential to beat the New York Yankees. ?
  12. BH will be fine. They will have all the confidence they need after run ruling North Forest tonight.
  13. yes he was and the HJ coach is a class act as well---Jeff and his family were rear-ended in Nome immediately after the game--pretty hard hit and the HJ coach stayed with him and his family until all was settled---like I said a class act!
  14. I call it reasons not excuses---2 big guns out makes HJ a lot better but what the heck we took 2 out of 3 from y'all
  15. yeah...y'all are great...it did not hurt that Crapo in OF and Smesny at pitcher are out for a few days throw in 8 errors in the field and HJ has a HUGE win
  16. Was the game tieing double an error on the 1st baseman? Was hit solidly, but didn't see if the 1st baseman had a shot at making a play. If he was able to make a play on the ball, the game would have been over. The pitcher that went in only gave up a fly ball for an out, but it was deep enough to get the sacrifice run home. yes E-3---then IW to set up DP followed by BB then sac fly to right
  17. surely you jest.......if not then set the date big boy---we are patient
  18. I would bet the kid that pitched yesterday was at 82-83 and you have some good hitters as well--May is a fine player as is the big kid w/ a great bat
  19. did not mean to slight him he just did not appear to be ready for that role but he may very well develop into a fine pitcher--we will see
  20. Did anyone in Dayton really even care???? I did and still do.
  21. that pitcher was very good---if they had a closer they would have had a victory
  22. Not to count that Dayton doubles Liberty in enrollment. I don't think it would be close---just wondering if he was gonna back it up with a game or was he just shooting off his mouth?
  23. When Liberty hired their new AD I recall him saying his team would be ready to play Dayton within 3 years----it is time to get this game on a future schedule
  24. ok....now I see....
  25. Dayton is hitting better now than in several years, pitching is as deep as I can remember---couple of sore arms but strength will improve. The one weakness is defense---to many errors but it is early and I'm sure that will be rectified. Overall we are much improved and not the door mat we were last year---Coach Jeff Stewart is doing an amazing job.
