  2. good luck----but I don't see it
  3. would have liked to have the opportunity but it does not matter- it is in the books as an 8-7 loss----we will see them at the scrimmage
  4. No-he is going in Football but may also run track
  5. final 4 in 2-3 years?--don't see it
  6. I love baseball but when was the last time you saw 8000 or more people at a baseball game? The fact is that the community as a whole supports football more----I may not like it but that is a fact. As far as this years Dayton baseball goes we have had a significant loss of talent from last season--due to 8 starters graduating, some others deciding not to play, and our top pitcher out for the season before it started. Dayton will be very competitive next season--Crapo, Kolarik, and Smesny will make for a very good rotation.
  7. let's see--what do Nash and Dirk have in common????
  8. Some of you L-Town folks never cease to amaze me---every time that I think I have heard the most stupid thing you seem to come back with another one---Lumberton faster than Central ???? don't think so
  9. I was there---the most amazing thing that I have seen on a track!
  10. Please ignore this person I believe this is a $hit stirrer not from LCM,would be my guess. if you want to igonre someone for having faith in their team then go ahead but i will continues to stand for the bears and keep bojo uh_live(alive)...and no i am not from orange but still do have connections to the bear program and have a "right to root"-period. :-* and i dont take kindly to being called a curse word there is absolutely nothing wrong with believing and dreaming. You are dreaming--that is for sure----
  11. I have aseen the salter kid from lcm him and personlly i think he is better Are you drunk?
  12. BOJO is dead----may it rest in peace
  13. etbu is correct-----If Ned wants to keep him then let Admin know how you feel and to "pony up"
  14. Congrats to Vidor--Robichau pitched a great game--defense looked sound and bats were there as well---Vidor has to be reckoned with again this season
  15. maybe he is talking about a spelling contest
  16. The last time I checked walks are part of the game but was it 15 or 16?
  17. Man, if you only knew....It would make you bitter FOR me! ...You never know a man's story, until you can walk a mile in his shoes.. No Dicky--I do not know your story and I am sorry if it was "my people" that hurt you---I can promise you that my story has its share of tragedy as do most people and I have forgiven those people and moved on------on a personal note things have changed--we are not perfect but things are definetly different and if you will allow me just one example--when I was a kid ALL of my friends were my color and black kids would never have spent the night at my house---the exact opposite has happened in one generation---at least 90 % of my kids friends are black and it has nothing to do with skin color----it is simply that those are the people that he plays basketball, football, and runs track with and these same kids practically and in one case literally live at my house-----so be bitter if you must
  18. There is never a good reason to hold on to bitterness--it only gives power to others
  19. The black QB comment is 100% accurate---they were not( and some still are not) given the opportunity because of their skin color---the opposite exists now for white DBs---my son will play for a very fine university on a full ride----and I am NOT complaining---just pointing out that this stuff goes on both ways Some act like they have had an epiphany or it has been revealed to only them and the poor dumb slobs around them must be educated---we all know it is there---my point is we do not need to poop in our own house---just deal with it
  20. Because it is SPORTS reality, and you people would rather put blinders on and not face what is real...Maybe because YOU are the beneficiaries the majority of the time....The INITIAL topic was about how The SOC basketball 4-peat was being intentionally overlooked by some, including their own Dallas media..I was asking how people in SE Texas felt about it..THAT is about high school boys basketball, is it not?...Yet the thread was deleted....No cursing, no bashing, just REAL discussion...For once. Okay Dicky---I am WHITE and my SON is white and we have also been on the receiving end----there are not many white DBs in D-1 and I was told point blank by several recruiter why that was--RACE--yet we don't gripe and complain--we just deal with it---nobody on here says it does not exist--of coarse it does---but it exists both ways just get over it or take it somewhere else-----really gets old You are talking about being evaluated on something that is tangible (speed and athletic ability) vs. being discriminated against because of your skin color...TOTALLY DIFFERENT...Most DB's are speedy and athletic..If you were fairly evaluated and that was to outcome, then that is what it is...However, the mere fact that these kids are being slighted by most people is just plain wrong, and I will say it again..If it were Katy, or Plano or Southlake, THEY WOULD BE CELEBRATING these kids accomplishments all over the respective cities, not trying downplay it, or give excuses why it "should not be counted". Sorry for your disappointment, but, your lack of athlticism does not count as a discrimnatory act. Now you are being plain ole ignorant---faster 40, faster shuttle, higher vertical--better stats everywhere------and TOD point blank----the point is it goes both ways---Willie Horton ring a bell?

  22. It is really simple---people hear that stuff everywhere...just look at the political race today and there it is--in your local community- there it is turn on the TV etc etc---why can this just be about sports and leave the other crap for someplace else
  23. Get real. Unless YOU are (a) a member of the LISD school board or ( the LISD superintendent, YOU cannot be “POSITIVE†of the affects on the AD decision. And until that school board socio-economic mix matches that of the school population (which it does NOT with 6 WASP males and 1 B female), no one can be absolutely certain that this decision was made with the best interest of all the students and community in mind. ;D And it's my opinion, if all else is equal, a hometown guy will be the better choice, especially if he's one that can introduce “drastic change†and a “good disciplined foundationâ€, while at the same time having established relationships within the community and relating well to the kids. Let me understand this: The Board members are stupid, cowards, and racists yet at the same time all are successful in life and respected enough to get elected to one of the more difficult jobs there can be with no pay at all---what an ignorant post! Diamond J whoever said you had to be bright to be elected to a local school board? What I find amusing is that often times a major ego trip and you have to be connected. Don't get on here and tell me that politics does not play a major role in decisions related to athletics. never said that---but they do have do be respected in their community to get voted in----and I know most of these in Liberty on a personal level and they are successful, respected AND bright
  24. "if all else is equal"---you may be assuming that all else was equal--we or at least I am not bearing the burden of behind closed doors with information that is not public----give the man a chance
