Lazeek,  no offense intended, but why broadcast this meaningless game instead of the girls playoff game?? Again, not trying to slam the boys of either team, but this game means zilch.  I thought you were going to show the girls some love???

[/quote] No worries.  We all have our opinions.  To your point, they can't be better than the current team with the exception of their record.  I have just heard from the folks drinking the Nederland Kool Aid that the Soph more class [b]will be [/b] the class. Like the Dove class in HF.

great season.  i would like to see a deep run, at least to regionals, for the Dogs.  Does Coach English have any of his own kids in the program?  with the success he has had, it is going to open other doors at numerous other schools.  i'm curious how long he will stay.

we used to start practice shooting free throws (fresh) and would finish practice (spent) shooting free throws.  It wasn't just going thru the motions either.  We worked on free throws the same way we worked on the full court press.  You have to take it serious and not like a game of H-O-R-S-E.

Lazeek,  will you broadcast any of the Lady Hawk Playoff games?  assuming they do not conflict the the boys games, will you and SETX show them any love?  i can understand most of the focus is about the boys team, but it would be nice to follow them.

Tuition, Nuns, and Plaid skirts..

back in the day, when we had to walk to school, up hill, in the snow, we did not have a youth football program in the Sour Lake area.  Don't know about Kountze.  I hear they now have a youth football program in place and kids are starting to play at a younger age.  In the past, we did not play team football until Jr.High.  In basketball, we have had a HUGE Little Dribblers program that has created the Basketball Empire we have in Sour Lake. I would not be suprised to see the HJ Football team make a run at the playoffs in the next 5-8 years.  Maybe sooner, just don't know when youth football started.

C'mon dogs, we have already been thru all of this.  Each year the same thing is said "Cleveland will beat HJ"  and each year the outcome is the same.  I would like to play a new team in the playoffs.  It is getting old beating Cleveland and Navasota every year.  When we win district this year  :o, we will let Silsbee take on Cleveland.  i have said it before and will continue to say it, Cleveland is more athletic.  They lack discipline beat themselves every year. Maybe we can play Nederland in the playoff warm up game.  I wonder if Coach English would take that game?  It could be hard on a team to start the playoffs after a loss.

No doubt HF won't make the playoffs this year.  i was reffering to the 2012/13/14 run to the state title.  You are right LAZ, sooner or later the prediction will come true.  You will never beat me in a foot race and i will never beat you in golf, but that is because we are in different leagues.  But if HJ plays Cleveland 100 times, i would guess Cleveland would win once.

No offense BD, but that is what everyone has said the last two years.  Yet HJ finds a way to win and Cleveland finds a way to choke, self destruct, beat themselves...whatever the case may be, they just can't find a way to not beat themselves.  It is never "HJ wins"  it is always "Cleveland chokes" so i will stick with that theme. You're not going to bite on the HF portion of the post?  

Oh well.  Thanks AAW, i was not aware Navasota was realigned.  Good for them, they were tired of seeing HJ.  The 2nd biggest problem Cleveland has is they have to play Silsbee or HJ.  It never seems to end to well for Cleveland when that happens.  Once HF becomes the powerhouse they are projected to play, Cleveland may have a chance to advance to the Area round.

being the "homer" that i am, i will take HJ.  Cleveland is by for more athletic, but lack discipline.  they shot themselves in the foot last year (and in the past) and will do it again.  Once HJ beats the first step child, Cleveland, they will move on and beat their second step child, Navasota, and move on to Regionals.  They will play Silsbee in the finals, assuming Silsbee makes it to the finals.

Fans like Nash are probably a reason why some don't like HJ.  I made the prediction, as did other HJ followers, that Silsbee would beat HJ. So what? I am inclined to think that if WOS pulled off the upset tonight, Dog would have better class.
