if this is true, i really feel sorry for the kids.  Growing up and going to a smaller school, participating in extra curricular activities was a huge part of school.  Friday night football games, weekly basketball, volleyball, or baseball games, out of town basketball tourneys, and the list goes on.  Hopefully this is not true and the kids will still have access to extra curricular activities, sports or non sports.

I don't think "choke" is the right term.  I give LV lots of credit for the man defensive pressure they were able to apply.  HJ just couldn't shake it.  There were two bad passess at the end of the game that hurt, but there were lots of other bad passess as well. Both teams played well and LV hit it at the right time.

He was assessed the foul.  Before the game started, on the scoreboard, 10-1-0 (1 for the foul).

LV had a pretty impressive man to man defense..gave the hawks fits in the 4th qtr.  I felt HJ had the better team, but LV made fewer mistakes. Great season!

I'm not surprised.  Just disappointed in the lack of coverage SE Texas sports gets.  That is the best thing about SETXSports.  It is all about the Golden Triangle and East Texas.  I can find scores and info here, that you can't find in the Chronicle or on the Website.  A major city with an average sports page.  Good Job to the staff and supporters of SETXSPorts!!!!

it appears Silsbee is out and Coldspring is in... I live in Houston and read the Chronicle daily and i find it a better read than the Beaumont Surprise, but come on....You would think some college intern, in charge of proofing the High School Brackets, would catch this.  No love for Silsbee :'(
