Crazy they have only had a football team for like 5 years and about too possibly win their 2nd title. Basketball program is unreal to. Lots of nice athletes in that town I guess. I'm sure some really good coaching to go with it.

After watching Angleton hold Foster to 3 offensive pts I was impressed with their defense. Problem they will have against Manvel is much like NS they have no real passing game. It's tough to be one dimensional against a team like Manvel and win.

No need to prove me wrong this week because I feel Manvel should and will win. Now I did say the winner of the regions 1 vs 2 will win state. I can assure you I never deleted my post.

I actually haven't picked against Manvel one time in the playoffs. I'm not picking against them this week. I think Angleton is very one dimensional on offense and I think you need to be able to throw the ball to beat a team like Manvel. Just curious which game you had me picking against them.

Angletons defense is absolutely nasty but they have no passing game at all. I think they will have a hard time putting up points on Manvel. They are very big and athletic though so l definitely wouldn't bet against them. I just think Manvel will be a little to much. I think the winner of Denton Ryan and HP win state.

They just beat Cuero. I'm not saying they won't rise to the occasion. I just think this team will be the best team WOS has played. I could also say the same for Wimberly though.

Wimberly has 2 1000 yd receivers and a qb that has thrown for close to 50 tds this year. They are very athletic and well coached. I will be sitting with the Stangs but I was bad luck on 05 I guess. This is will be my favorite matchup of the playoffs so far.

I believe statistically Cuero and WOS defense were about the same. So I wouldn't say Wimberly hasn't seen a defense like WOS this year.

They are a really good program. Usually have some really good receivers and a qb that can sling it. WOS will be the favorite but should be a good one.

Definitely won't miss this one. Think the last time I saw y'all play each other was 05 at Rhodes.

Yeah but it's all good. I mean winning isn't everything. Somebody has to be bad. Teaches young men that it's not always what you know but who you know and nice guys truly do finish last. I picked Dayton to win 4 games last year and if you read mypost before the season started you will see I was very accurate as to how this year would go. JV won 0 games and I think the freshman maybe won a couple. In the district discussed on this thread Dayton will be lucky to win 2 district games.

Crazy huh. Oh well guess Manvel will start out the season next year #2 behind Aledo in D2. Aledo is loaded with sophomore talent and Manvel should have an easy path to the finals.

Well Dayton won 4 games last year and 3 this year. All 3 wins this year were against teams with 1 district win. It's all good though. I like a bunch of the schools in the golden triangle and the atmosphere is always nice.

If this district comes to fruition, I would like to see Dayton schedule liberty and a couple other small schools. Liberty would be more than competitive for our program at this point and it would be a huge game. Only win I see in this district is ozen.

This is huge for PNG and Nederland. If Dayton ends up in a district with PNG Nederland BH Crosby Central Vidor it won't be good for us.

Kids only like 6"4 220 and thrown for like 6000 yds in his high school career. Seriously though I vacation in Wimberly every year at least once and that is a great town with very good athletic programs. I would like to see the WOS vs Wimberly matchup again hopefully at Katy's new field.
