Man I'm ready for this one. Heck I got about 8 people coming with me on of them lives about 2 hours away. I promised a shoot out so if this thing turns out to be 14-10 I will know I don't have a clue about football and will want a refund.

Depends on what you call a run. The team that just beat Temple will most likely be waiting for the winner of PNG and Crosby in the 3rd round.

I'm just excited to see this game. I personally don't know why anybody would want a lay up game when you can have these 2 teams going at it. I think PNG and Crosby fans should be jacked for this one.

I was there and that game was not thrown. That's the dumbest thing I have heard on this thread. Crosby played all their stars even when I questioned leaving them out there. Why would Williams play if you were going to throw a game. PNG will put up a ton of points and I'm sure Crosby will too. But then again maybe Crosby plans on throwing this first round game and only scores 38 again.

Crosby is a better version of College Station? Let's not get delusional please. College Station just beat Temple and has a 7 pt loss to freakin Austin Westlake. Their freakin huge athletic and have some serious wins over really good opponents. Everyone from Crosby and PNG should be excited about this first round matchup. Crosby dodged playing Marshall second round and PNG gets a title game atmosphere in the first round. Make no mistake about it though neither one of these teams was going to win the region and that's fine. Only 4 teams in the state will be able to say that. This should be the best first round matchup in the state and I think both teams and fans should enjoy it. I will be willing to bet that there will be 8000+ people at this game and whoever does play for the region title will be lucky to have half that.

Crosby didn't throw that game but I promise you both Crosby and PNG have a way better chance against Texas City than Marshall. Marshall is very nasty and was young last year. Marshall would be a huge favorite against either team.

Would be shocked if PAM didn't win this one easily. Happy for the kids at KP though. Congrats on getting into the playoffs.

I was pulling for ya. I'm going to be brutally honest though 7 pts against Porter is ridiculous. Porter only held 1 other opponent to 7 and that was Splendora. BH IMO even with injuries played way below their potential. I'm not letting your staff off the hook this team beat a really good Friendswood team and finishing in the top 4 of our weak district should have been a given. I think Westerburg is a great coach but I beat he would even agreee with that. Oh well we will see if there is vast improvement next year. Way to many penalties and dropped passes. Defense played well all year but offensively BH just flat out struggled at times. If offense can get on par with the defense next year should be a good one for the Eagles.

This might be the best first round matchup in the state. I don't think either team is a state contender but they should be a really fun game to watch. Hell im actually excited for this one.

They can make you re kick plus a penalty if you kick it out of bounds. Now if you have a kid that can kick it out the back of the end zone that's another story.

You know I've always wondered why not onside kick more if your just going to pooch. I mean unless you have a kid that is really good at pooch kicking the opposing team usually gets the ball close to the 40 anyway. You might lose 10 yds of field position but at least you have the opportunity for a recovery. Over under on onside kicks is officially set at 5 and a half. Your thoughts.

I will be at the Crosby PNG game and hope I don't see 1 freakin punt. Hell I saw enough punts at Dayton this year to last me. Defense is over rated anyway.

My point is they only scored 35 and they were averaging over 50 a game. Their defense is taking all the heat but I bet if you ask PNG fans before the game if they held Ned to 36 would they win the answer would have been yes.

PNG was held way below their average not Ned.

I think PNG fans are taking this particular game a little out of context. First off Nederland is pretty damn good. Second if Nederland was terrible this would still be a hard fought game. Just the way it is. PNG defense gave up some points but their offense was held way below their season average. I just don't think you can base anything off this game.

I have 22 5a going 3-1. My toss up game is Crosby PNG.

NC has a stud at qb who is an Air Force commit I believe. #2 sophomore receiver plays both ways is tall with great hands and good speed. Both their main rb's are freshman and run the ball well. NC will run a ton of different formations. Single back 2 back empty backfield 5 wide all the way down to 1 wide. They sub 3 or 4 kids every down on offense which makes it hard to matchup up unless you just play straight zone. They will give you more looks than most any high school team you will play. I think both their offensive and defensive lines are nice and do a good job. Kicker is good from 50yds or more. When you see him it will shock you because he is a big ole boy. Defense plays hard tackles well and #3 for them is a tackling machine.

Ned or Porter. Either one it's the end of the road. Lol

No doubt the winner of this game has a much better chance at seeing the 3rd round than if they played Marshall. Texas City had a brutal schedule though and held Manvel to 21 pts and no other team even came close to that. With 2 of their losses coming to 6a schools and a OT loss 4-5 isn't that bad. IMO PNG and Crosby would both be favored but Texas City isn't a cup cake they just play in a much tougher district.

Hell my Broncos are irrelevant these days but I'm really pumped about this first round matchup. I'm setting the over/under on total punts in the game at 5 and a half.

I saw it a little after Harvey and it looked all good. Parking shouldn't be an issue.

Stallworth is old but still a great place to watch a game with a ton of seating. Will definitely be there.

I will give the Crosby kids props they never quit. I think Crosby going for 2 on their first td was a little weird. Still trying to figure out the late fg. I know it was 4th and forever but you still need 7 not 3. NC just excacuted really good and they run a ton of different offensive sets. They also play some of their studs both ways even with their high enrollment which is something I was advocating at Dayton this year. Anyway will be watching that PNG Crosby game hopefully at Stallworth. Also Crosby has a great stadium and like all the bells and whistles.
