Showcase is just that. Put the men in front of scouts and let them show their stuff. The way it is a this level. Heat-KC-Angels-Banditos-Mizuno-Sun Devils. You can agree or disagree but look at the scholarships they get for these men. Bottom line, play at next level. After HS, it's all business

Money big factor too. 30-40% scholarship at Big D1 is still 15-20,000 year out of pocket, one year at a time.. Juco 100% for 2 years. In todays time. money is big issue. Juco's in Texas (field 9) as good as D1, just not as deep. Pitchers and Catchers are wise to look hard at Juco for Draft reasons or transfer to D1 Jr year. Happens all the time. -

Pitchers/Catchers sometimes keep options open by going Juco. Juco ball in Texas is top notch -
Looking out for the young man. (NOT) Win at any cost

A lot of the problem is the Big schools signing too many. They sign more than have scholarships for and then the kid gets burned. Kid is hung out to dry with nowhere to go. Happens all the time. I know several that have stayed away from the Big D1s and gone smaller or Juco. -

Simple. Dayton lost series to a better team on this weekend. I think they are very evenly matched team. Not sure who Baseball 101 is but does not speak for most of us in Dayton. Congrats to Nederland and good luck. Hope to see you next year. -
This stuff is funny. Two very good teams playing each other. Will always be a loser and a winner. AND tomorrow is a new day with another winner and loser. That's the way it works.
