  1. Current standings are: Summer Creek 10-5    plays Dayton Dayton          9-6      plays SC Crosby            8-7    plays Porter New Caney      8-7    Plays BH If Dayton wins, tie for 3rd/4th with SC.  Playoffs Set Dayton loses and either 2 below them win, there is your  tie for 4th.        2 or 3 team tie possibility for 4th
  2. 1 through 4 are going to be tough in both districts. Upsets may be coming
  3. You are dead on. Be very careful with D1's. They like to have you "commit" so you go off others radar. Be very, very careful.
  4. Dayton not in yet. Must beat Summer Creek for 3rd place tie with them. If Dayton loses and Crosby wins, then Dayton-Crosby tie for 4th and will have a play in game. Could be three way tie for 4th if New Caney upsets BH.  Far from settled. for 3rd and 4th
  5. BH is on cruise control. They will be fine. Denny knows what he is doing. He is just setting up for playoffs. Getting some players some rest and others playing time. Great coaches know how to win and Denny knows how to win. Be thankful.
  6. Congrats to BH. You have a good team and a GREAT coach.
  7. No such thing as full ride in baseball. Year to year only and a %. They may supplement with academic money or grant money, but no full rides in baseball. D1 gets 11.2 scholarships for entire team. Spreads thin.
  8. Come on! Great game by both.
  9. BH 6-0 Summer Creek 5-1 Dayton 5-2 Kingwood Park 4-3 New Caney 3-3 Crosby 2-4 Porter 2-4 C.E.King ? Humble 0-6
  10. Best duel pitching game I have seen in a long time. 3- hitter vs 4 hitter. Great game
  11. We are keeping quiet. Flying under the radar
  12. Dayton 12-2 overall             3-0 District
  13. Sorry, Need to update on Dayton Jordan Trahan (Soph) 1 Blake Schmidt (Jr) 1 Kevin Roe (Jr) 1
  14. Dayton (Roe) vs Crosby (Davenport)  Dayton wins 3-2
  15. Dayton wins 11-0.  Kevin Roe gets win (jr) 5 innings 8 k's  1 hit.  Bradley Sowell (jr) gets save. 2 innings 3 k's 1-hit.  Bats look good and defense solid.
  16. Thought both teams played well and are very equal. When you start moving players around and experimenting, things get wild. That's what a scrimmages are about.
  17. Have to throw Kevin Roe (Jr) Dayton in this, last year as Sophomore 5-1  1.97era .  Houston Heat 18 Black summer/fall, under 1 era
  18. Looking for one more BIG bat at 1st or 3rd
  19. 6 of top preseason 25 in same district. Should be fun to watch what happens. No easy weeks this year. Pitching at a premium because of 9 team district. Will have 3 game weeks few times.
  20. I'm still looking for pitching... [/quote]
  21. Hope I'm wrong on order Eagle but being realistic
  22. 1.BH - Have pitching and David Denny 2.Kingwood Park - Always good 3.Dayton - Very young last year, returning all starters except 1. Still Jr's or Soph at 7 starting positions 4.Crosby - Pitcher Tyler Davenport (SR. Texas State)and Hunter Hearn (Newcomer of year) will lead. This should be a tough district within itself. Don't see any team running off with it. Don't know much about teams not listed above so just a guess. Will beat up on each other.
