Great experience, I recommend it. Ray Van Kuren runs it very well.
Would a sophomore benefit or too early?
IMO, yes would benefit greatly.
My thoughts also but our buddy V.Sinisi said not to worry about it. -

They look sharp. Little more practice together and look out. Nice size up front. -
Is Select Baseball Ruining League Baseball?
Dayton Transplant replied to REDBIRD99's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Wherever you play, just make sure the fundamentals are taught correctly. That's your foundation for his/her future play. The rest will come in time. Good fundamentals in hitting-throwing and receiving the ball. They will build muscle memory and will make it much easier on them along the way. Eagle07 will agree with me on this. -

IS Select Baseball "WORTH" The investment?
Dayton Transplant replied to GTBBaseball's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Location-Location-Location. All you need until HS. You only have soooo many bullets in your gun. Don't waste them. Anyone tells you different is crazy or doesn't care. -

My experience over last 8 years of select and now more of a showcase is the organization you are with. Select is good for those that are ahead in developement imo. Many parent run groups go through the same thinks you do in league ball. Professional coaches through GTB, Houston Heat, Banditos etc are going to pay off. Expensive (yes in deed) but you get what you pay for. We are now in later years of HS and you can see the difference. I wish HS was more willing to work with select groups but seems egos get in the way. My son would not be where he is today if not for select ball. NO WHERE NEAR. -
2012 Schedules and Lineup Projections ???
Dayton Transplant replied to Hobbs's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Broncos projected 2012 Justin Green (SR) 1st Brad Sowell (Soph) 2nd/Pitcher Andrew Walker (SR) SS/Pitcher Cameron Jones (SR) Pitcher* Missed all last year arm surgery Phillip Kness (SR) 3rd/Pitcher Brice Armstrong (Jr) Outfield/Pitcher Chance Enerson (SR) Outfield/Infield Kevin Roe (Soph) Catcher/Pitcher Several JV coming up. May have missed someone -
Could have sent us a couple LOL.
-
Lot of Baytown Christian kids went somewhere. I know there not here
-
Crosby lost almost all. JV was good but no experence. Like that .500 attitude LOL. He may throw at ya twice. Ready to get started. Love the game.
-
No doubting any. Don't know all the kids. This is going to be a battle from top to bottom imo. Only one team is not a factor. The rest will battle for top four spots. Anyone can beat anyone. BH has more experence at Varsity level and a little more depth than the rest of us. Other than that, it's a horse race to the finish.
-
The district had some very strong JV programs last year and I can see some talent form those teams making some big contributions to the Varsity levels at all the schools. BH has lots of returning players (and LONG). Only reason I give them the edge
-
Hate to say it but BH will be front runner (lots returning). I think it's up for grabs from there. GCM-CROSBY-DAYTON-LEE-CHANELVIEW will be equal this year. GCM has slight edge over these 4. Will be a race in 19-4A. Going out on a limb 1.BH 2.GCM 3.DAYTON 4.LEE

Sources: Albert Pujols, Angels agree

Yeah Angels are pumped. Can't blame him for money issue. If any of us were offered a JOB (all it is today) doing same thing in another city for sooooooo much more, the door wouldn't hit our butts as it closed. They are all overpaid in perspective to the normal joes but that's the system -

Holy cow. Rangers better make so moves. (Pitching). And the poor Lastros, got to be a nightmare looking into the future.
