If the pep talk went long, I get it, it was a big game for them and sometimes you get carried away. While it is not cool to miss the anthem, I will chalk that up as an honest mistake and give the benefit of the doubt. It would have been more disrespectful to run out on the field during the anthem. Also, I do not think bhcorner off like a smart arse. My point in all of this, (i'm done with this topic after this post) is that Gage should have behaved in a more professional manner than he did. IF he apologized to his kids for his actions than that is a step in the right direction. If he didn't explain to his kids why his behavior on the sideline was unacceptable then he is just creating a culture within his program that makes it acceptable to whine when things don't go your way. Best of luck to BH from here on out. I really don't think this team is that far away from becoming a play off team. I also respect the fact that the BH kids did not quit. I didn't see any player whose body language said I give up. That's a good thing. So go out out there, string a few wins together and beat crosby while you're at it!

1 win in how many tries?
Good for the Cougs got the Monkey off the back. 39-27 isn't a bad score. Crosby scored 27 unanswered points? not bad maybe they can get some confidence from this game as we move forward. Dayton keep the talk to a min you beat BH lets not forget.
Didn't see any Dayton posters talking smack, BUT, I would be more than happy to get that going if you really want to get into it.

Hey Toups, Did you catch any video of Ripkowski puking up some of that fluorescent Bronco potion. I think it would make a pretty good avatar. What a monster. -
I think Tyrone wanted more discussion on the BH being 1-3 part than anything
No. The Broncos are 1 - 3. And being 1 - 3 means you can't get cocky. The Eagles weren't world beaters either. -
It will be before the regional final... Prolly second round! Until then, just stat wise, this is probably the best defense in the state. (4A) That game will prove who has the better all around team though.
You forget that you guys are going to tank a game and come in as the #2 D-2 seed in your District. It's just not the same if we don't meet in the regional final. -
A 54 - 0 win is great, but remember that this team is 1 - 3. I saw a ton of positives vs BH and the win was a great confidence builder BUT there is a lot of football left to be played. The team is young and there is a ton of room for improvement. Cheer them on, pat them on the back and support them for doing a good job, but don't get the BIG HEAD because there are a lot of really good teams out there. Go Broncos, keep working hard and you can go as far as you want to.

There are a lot of businesses between Dayton and the Hill, let's get them to match the proceeds. -
Kind of curious about how some of the folks @ the hill feel about the coaching antics that took place last night. Chime in.

What Dayton fans should remember is that the broncos have a 1 - 3 record and there are still a lot of areas that need to be improved on. Now trucked, was the big mouth with nothing to back it up statement directed at your buddies bh89 and bhfan or Dayton posters. I would say that Dayton posters had their smack backed up pretty well.
I knew what was coming. Dayton's 0-3 and BH's 1-2 were miles apart. It was not directed at Dayton. Goodluck the rest of the way! On another note, I think it will be hard for you to pick up Amanda or any other chicks for that matter with your choice of make-up. ;D
That's not make up, that's the residual of a dang good time. Amanda might be interested, l hear chicks dig a project. And I am the fixer upper of all fixer uppers. -

I have listened to the armchair coaches long enough and have come to a conclusion. IF you could do it, then YOU should try. Since you are at home, hiding behind a computer, making these remarks about someone you don't even know then then you obviuosly know you could not do a thing to change it. The only solution to the problem is for YOU to go back to whatever college YOU went to, re-enroll, get an education degree and then go out on the field and try it yourself. Believe me when I say "you will fail". I am a former player and the father of a current player. I have never said that I could coach and have never said that I could do it better. I could not do what those men do every Friday night. They have my total respect for their determination and will power. My point is, If you can do it, then do it and if you can't (or you are to scared to try) then shut up and let the coaches do their job. They do know what they are doing and believe me, they could care less about your opinion.
Thats all fine and well what you just said BUT.. When you have a coach that wants to stand there and argue a argument that obviously he (Gage) isn't gonna win but continues anyway for how many minutes, is a little embarrassing to them boys IMO. And not showing good leadership either IMO. and also MY OPINION some shady plays this coach is trying to teach these boys. Oh and as for hiding behind a computer my name is Amanda and if you want to know my last name then pm me. I don't hide behind anything. And I am sure most others on this forum don't either.
So, Amanda...How you doin'? Instead of last names, how bout you just give tyrone them digits. Old Rock, not sure if your comment is directed toward the second guessers on BH's side or those who didn't like what they saw out of Gage. IMHO, I expected to see a much classier performance from the BH coaching staff. I understand some of the trick plays. I understand that the players will have some trouble executing a new system against a first class defense. What I don't understand is piss poor gamesmanship like coming out late, holding up the game by arguing multiple calls, being so demonstrative that the focus shifts from the players to himself....the list goes on and on. I really thought that I would see a first class coaching staff doing things the right way, I just don't think that is what I saw last night.
What about the big picture? Maybe BH does not have the talent. Orangefield does not, but our coach is turning boys into men. Sometimes it is not about wins. It is about life in the world we live in. Lesson are taught in the game of football that cannot be taught in the class room. Some kids are not college material. Football is all some of them have. Give the coaches a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When the talent is there you guys will praise the head coach. Typical!!!!!!!!!
Gage behaved very poorly. He was very demonstrative. He bumped into officials. He screamed, yelled, and through temper tantrums when things didn't go his way. Part of turning boys into men is showing them how to handle adversity. In my opinion, he set a poor example, maybe he will apologize to his kids for the way he acted. I was not on the BH sideline, but it sure looked embarrassing from where I was sitting. Nobody likes taking a whooping like that one, at least Dayton played the subs and stuck to running the ball after the game got out of hand. I wonder if Gage would have done the same.
What kind of message does a coach send to his team telling them to kickoff the game w/an onside kick.So much trash talking I wonder why so many penalties.Refs were trigger happy w/the yellow flags as well as being way out of shape.Neither team could mount any momentum for flag after flag.I called it a 50 spot and could have been worse w/3 tds called back.On the Carranco missed pat the ball was tipped by BH.Good luck to BH the rest of district, keep working on it :o ;D ::) 8)
Agree. I was disapointed with the BH head coach. Temper tantrums aren't cool. He griped to an official all the way to the locker room going into the half. BH had bad luck, but in hindsight, it might have been bad karma for acting like a child on the sidelines. Welcome to 19-4A Gage. -
It isn't all about record. Lets look at statistics. Dayton= 3.4 turnovers a game. Good luck holding on to the ball to score enough
Just say your sorry.

How bout that Dayton D? I thought the BH coach showed his tail a little by being so demonstrative. Also, resorting to trick plays in the first half seemed sort of desperate. BH is better than the score reflected. You guys have some really big kids, it's just going to take a while to see whether or not your system/AD are the right fit for your talent. -
They should not have been talking crap about the Dayton coaches and players. They talked about putting 30 points on Dayton because Dayton runs a gimmick defense..... Who's name are they going to put on the tires now!!!!!!!! It could have been 75 - 0. Remember that 2 touchdowns got called back and that the 2nd string was in the game before the start of the fourth. Didn't know the BH staff were flapping lips, if it's true, then this trip to the woodshed should teach a pretty good lesson.

Tyrone shutt off the water before the "High and Mighty" head your way, don't wanna mess up our dews.............. ;D How Many Dayton Turnovers? A. 1 B. 2 C. 3 D.4 or more
I saw the same report. It said that conditions would increase as a massive influx of hot air entered the atmosphere as Eagle fans crossed the county line. The report also said that residents along 146 should be prepared for drainage ditches to overflow with the tears of Eagles fans as they seek to cope from seeing their hopes and dreams dismantled beneath the bright lights of Bronco stadium. -

BREAKING NEWS: Practice in Barbers Hill was delayed thursday after a player found an unknown white powdery substance on the ground. Training was suspended while police were called in. After analysis, experts determined that the substance, unfamiliar to most of the players and coaching staff, was in fact the goal line. Practice resumed after they decided that the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again. Yes, I stole this from a cowboys vs texans thread. But I deemed it aprapos. -

I'm suddenly clairvoyant. When the buzzer goes off the scoreboard will read Dayton: 562 and Visitor: Embarrassed. I've been seeing the craziest things since I ate some of the funny tasting iguana joes green sauce.
