Seems like there is a lot of talk about the "brutal" pre district schedule the broncos will play.  A couple of points on this, 1. Kids heal and recuperate quickly, B. Tough teams should help prepare Dayton for the playoffs, and 4. Tougher predistrict schedule will make most of the district games against powder puff opponents that much easier. 

I hope that all of the rumors around AJ are baseless.  But if they are not, what the heck is going on here?  It would be nice to know what actually happened here even though it's really none of my business.  I think the kid was probably promised the world while he was being recruited but got frustrated making the transition from all world in Dayton to barely getting in the game for the cougars. I know that ultimately the responsibility is his, but I wonder if he ever really had a chance academically at a university after being coddled in the classroom at DHS?

D1 kids are a result of both genetics and the program.  You aren't going to see a five foot nothing qb playing d1 ball, but there are plenty of kids with plenty of talent and good genetics that are in bad programs and end up missing out on playing at the next level. A team doesn't have to be loaded with D1 talent to be successful.  Dayton was the most successful team in the district and their best player went to lamar. A year before, they went to the state championship game with 2 D1 kids leading the way. I say this to illustrate the fact that D1 talent helps, but a successful program is really about getting the most out of the kids that you have. Barbers Hill went out and bought a coach that they feel will give them a chance to win.  I hope he builds the type of program that creates some D1 players.  I also hope that he is worth the money.

The trade deadline is getting closer.  Does anybody have any sights that have good information on rumors.  I like www.hoopshype.com but it would be cool to find a few other sights with good info.  Houston media kind of sucks as far as trade talk goes.

Don't know a percentage, but i know that alot of the kids are in powerlifting.  It doesn't really get discussed much but the kids at dayton really bust their tails in the off season with weights and conditioning.  The secret to that program is how hard the kids and coaches work.

Crosby = Laughingstock.  This reminds me of the movie idiocracy.  Gas prices are lower than they were last year and Ennis is definitely further than Vidor. What's the problem? Things like this are why crosby gets no respect.

When is signing day and who is going where?

Any guesses as to what BH's record vs Dayton will be in the years to come?  I will go ahead and predict BH will go 2 - 8 against Dayton for the next decade.  I know, I'm baiting the hook here, but this lovefest makes me want to puke in my mouth.

Another reason why crosby sucks.  If it's a financial thing then say so, but there is no reason to cancel otherwise.

Give Bruno a little credit for not breaking character in his posts. But I finally realize what is going on.  The "Bronco" envy in crosby has grown in such large proportions that widespread dementia has set in throughout the city. Everybody over there is going crazy.  To prevent mass exodus down highway 90, the city of dayton has put up a winners only sign at the city limits. Fortunately, crosby is populated by losers so it made choosing the signage very simple.

Just when I thought the thread had dried up, here comes Borat showing how awesome crosby is.  But Borat has it all wrong because Bruno would be much more representative of the crosby fan base.

With all of the hub-bub involved with Barbers Hill's new hire, it is important to remind everyone of what really matters...Crosby still sucks.

Best of luck to BH's new coach.  Too bad he won't be able to notch a win against Dayton before he retires.  Sorry Eagle fans, I just wanted to temper your excitement with a little dose of reality!  In all seriousness, I hope your new guy does well and hope the Dayton-BH game turns into one hell of a rivalry.

Seems like price was a good AD but an average football coach.  Every BH game that I saw left me unimpressed with his play calling and his ability to "coach up" his athletes.  I know that a lot of BH fans chalk this up to lack of talent, but a good coach with a good program can make their kids stronger and faster. From there it is simply a matter of coming up with a game plan that makes sense for your team. Price was unable to get it done consistently in 4A.  I do feel like he did a really good job with the overall athletic program, but this is Texas and at the end of the day people care more about football than cross-country.

If crosby is moved out of dayton's district....will dayton play them pre-district for a confidence builder or will they leave them off the schedule and look to schedule a 2A or coed team that can give them a little more competition?

Andre Johnson would suck if  he went to Crosby. 2. Crosby's undefeated district run has an asterisk beside it.  This asterisk denotes the fact that every now and then the universe farts and crosby makes it through district undefeated.

Price was a good 3A coach that couldn't cut it in 4A.  Sounds like Sandi-whoever is a good 3A coach that might get his chance.  Why not hire a good 5A coach that could dominate in 4A and manage the program as it expands?  Seems small minded to me.

I think he probably stood out more at Crosby because the rest of the team sucked so much. When he moved to Dayton and joined a team with superior talent, coaching, and a tradition of spanking Crosby, he didn't stand out as much, even though his level of play clearly improved once he switched jersey colors
