They can! Dayton can also stop Angleton... Dayton's defense is getting better every week. Ploch is also improving weekly, for a guy who didn't play QB until this year, he is an offensive machine. Not - love to see it. Dayton could not stop Cole - Angleton has 4 kids as good or better than Cole dude. Could be ugly - hope you get there. Fortunately for Dayton.... the product that is on the field in November is ALWAYS much better than the product in Aug/Sept. Not making a prediction.... but I wouldn't expect to see THAT defense in November.

I'd disagree with this completely....the spread can take advantage of whatever you have....size or speed...it puts players in more 1 on 1 matchups. Now if you're going to line up and run the I or the wishbone then it's much more dependent on having big linemen that can dominate the line of scrimmage....hence MUCH more dependent on your personnel. Bill Walsh "created" the west coast offense while in Cincy under Paul Brown to address their inability to run the football because they didn't have the personnel to do it. As for your defense, I still have no idea how what offense you're running impacts the way you play defense?? If your defense sucks while you run the spread it will ALSO suck when you run the I formation. Agreed

in a spread offense you're not firing out at the defense and youre "catching"them to make your blocks. so jmo but it will make your O-Line soft... but... it doesn't make your Defense soft. I think that is the argument.

Big surprise of last week - Vidor put up 56 points on anybody much less Central Bigger surprise - Central putting up 57 I'm used to Central winning hard fought defensive battles to the tune of 17-10. Believe it or not, Vidor's offense is that good. They are big, mean,and have great blocking assignments. Our offense have suprised me so far. Our numbers are far surpassing the numbers from last year... No doubt... if that D ends up where it was last year... Yikes

how do you see the score? I know that wasn't directed at me but, I think Vidor will win by a TD. I lean that direction as well. I'm not sold on either teams D.... just by what I've read and heard, so I think it will be pretty high scoring.

I could care less if they blow the horn after a L-town score or when they take the field. Blowing it to disrupt the opposing teams offense or defense is another thing(they are kids not professionals).Crowd noise is great thats the advantage of playing at home. I thought the UIL ban noise makers? If so the fans may not have to complan the officials will take them away. I think you may be right. It most likely won't be policed though. It seems they only take away airhorns from folks in the stands, but not things like cowbells, etc.

I like their rankings though, they never seem biased to one area of the state. : : No comment... well.... I guess I was thinking more about them actually including our area..... Some polls wouldn't put vidor, png, or lumberton anwhere in the top 50. Central is definitely an exception. don't know what's up with that.
