Lee's 800 and 1600 relay are both top 5 in the state in 4a. Nice for Lee to do well in something for the first time in a while.
Robinson was also in Dayton for a short while Jr. High... had no idea he was that kind of athlete. I was very impressed at the BH meet. Lee has a good all around track team.

He didn't want to come to practices was getting in trouble all the time. And no his parents didn't buy a house in summer creek. Have no idea how he is going to summer creek unless he has relatives that live there. Got this from a reliable source. Guess summer creek picked up a great football player  who has issues that need fixing.
they bought a house. And Ford and staff would not allow a kid to come in and participate after they been kicked out of another school for Discipline reasons.
I disagree and it's not a knock on the SC staff. I think most coaches would give a kid at least a chance in THEIR program.... especially a talented one.

As for C-Mike, that 40 time is a better one thatn Arian Foster had at the combine!
Good thing.... cuz Arian was undrafted. Fortunately he got a shot though. Hope C. Michael does as well and can stay healthy.
 4.
Keep an eye on Buna freshman Josh Kelly. He is a natural at running. His first meet was yesterday and he got a 2nd and 4th place running against upperclassmen. When he makes his high school adjustments he will great.
what events does he run?

 6.
I since some bitterness in you Matt. Could it be you are just a bit jealous? Are you a kid who didn't scouted? Or maybe your a dad, thats mad cause Johnny didn't get to play. He was to busy keeping the bench warm. You for sure haven't met Juan. He is at least 5'10". And as for Markain, only him and time will tell whether he decides to utilize his talent wisely.
matt has clearly lost site of the big picture.... These kids have a chance to get a free/discounted education. Instead, he only posts when he's got something negative to say. He's definitely never met Juan or hasn't since he was a freshman.... As far as Markain..... he gets a clean slate. We only get so many of those... A degree from that "unheard of" university would change his life. I hope he'll seize the day. He's a very good athlete.

SC- majority of their skills players are returning, including the FAB FOUR, that's 4 seniors that played as Freshmen, and that 2014 Class is stout! 2. Crosby - Twins! Twins! Twins! 3. KPark- a few good returning kids, including Qb, TE, RB and they have a move in that can play anywhere on the field! Plus a really good LB 4. BH- have good returners, if Denny plays, that's a plus 5. Dayton - Kyle McBride is QB, Keener will help some 6. Humble- a lot of returners on Defense, offense will struggle if don't develop a passing game 7. CE King- RB will return, and a few more athletes 8. Porter- QB pretty good 9. New Caney- plays with Heart!
I had heard the "move in" at KP was coming to SC. He played with those kids in our 2014 class for 4 or 5 years if not more.
That will be great if he comes! Just adding more coal to the fire!
the rich get richer...  8)
 10.
I said he was pretty good. Didnt disrespect the kid at all. Just said I wonder what he would have done against higher comp. You do realize this is a sports website and this is a football thread right???
no ... you said against "some kids with talent"...    How would you feel if someone said that about WOS's athletes? When athletes were equal, WOS got blown out.... that doesn't mean that WOS's players aren't big time athletes.  By disrespecting the competition in the way you did, you are disrespecting him.
 11.
That's almost unheard of out of a school their size. WT should be extremely proud of his program. That many D1 athletes is almost as prestigious as a state championship. Not as prestigious. But definitely a testament of a 5-star high school program, so to say.
He should be proud indeed..... He should also feel very blessed.... like you said... that's almost unheard of.

Shorter will end up with offers from every SEC school big 12 PAC 12 he is gaining offers everyday. Baylor offered yesterday. Going to LSU next weekend will probably leave there with an offer too. Sophomores class will have around ten sign when they are seniors.
ridiculous!!!
it's a lot easier to "out-athlete" folks on the court....
Yall don't have a basketball team, how would you know? ;)
;D I see our kids working hard daily and our coach knows what he's doing.... Talent matters. Dayton will be stronger next year.... Lots of youth this year.

 17. Right..... you could avoid looking like it by not using the same catch phrases on this thread that you did when you spoke negatively of him. I guarantee you tony puts plenty of pressure and high standards on himself... not sure how what you're doing is productive. oh well...
 18. Typos fixed... crazy tablet... :(
 19. The vendetta comment was about tb.... About these kids. Good athletes from a program known for being loaded and having solid coaching. No big surprise outta WOS . The issue is that no one has questioned these kids to the point of looking jealous or looking like they have a score to settle. Congrats on those commitments. Any comments on why you are bent on getting a shot in on Tony Brown? Seriously... why?
 20. Your personal vendetta aagainst a kid is pretty sickening.

Maybe, if you compared those kids' drill tapes to TB's they wouldn't stack up to him. Apples and Oranges between WOS and Ozen. You said it yourself...... it's the WOS program that is the biggest difference. Congrats to ALL the locals getting looks.... D1 or otherwise.
sometimes you have to look at future potential of players.....may not make every big play, but what is future potential of said athlete to compete at next level.  if kid has hit his ceiling in High school, then that might be his only opportunity. T Brown has growth potential....all of the tools to make it at next level, couple that with coaching and ability will meet opportunity for this player. Can't really compare what other 3 A teams did in area, those players have the same opportunity at scouting events to show what they have compared to athletes at any size High School.  The scouts are there looking for potential and growth factors.....sometimes it's not just making the play in a High School football game....if that was the case, size wouldn't matter either. There are a lot of factors in considering an athlete's talent, potential, growth, coachableness, academic achievement, character, background, work ethic, responsibility and so much more. But when I saw him play in the games, I could not believe my eyes! He was going half speed, taking way too many breaks on plays, and just didn't look like the BEST CAMP kid, and I'm mainly talking about effort....my husband and I talked about that all the way home....I did hear he has outstanding grades and really that's what matters. My son is a good football player with pretty good grades, and I tell him I will take him being an OUTSTANDING STUDENT anytime over him being a good football player or any sport he participates in But I wish Tony Brown the best, and not too many HS get to graduate in December
Jkb rest his case.  The kids dad helped him memorize camp drills and yes he isb the best at them. But he's not and elite football player and it shows on film and in person when watching him live. At camps he looks like a NFL guy. When I played college ball we said guys like this looked like Tarzan but played like Jane.
Just curious... never been to a camp myself. They don't have to cover any receivers at camp? Wouldn't the scouts pick on that? I understand they almost certainly don't tackle. Also.... where did you play college ball? You seem like you have a pretty good handle on the the elite levels...
 23. just gotta say again.... since a finally gave in and watched the videos you posted.... comparing these two is asinine as far as these films. The difference in competition between the two is vast. The WOS highlights are mostly QB's with defenders all over them, throwing off their back foot, etc. It's clear that WOS is completely outmanning the competition as a TEAM. TB seems to be making more plays when his team is not overwhelming their opponent. With that said, I know you aren't commenting on this anymore, AND they both look like big time athletes that are making plays. i don't think that much can be told from these vids though.

Tony is a able to go these camps and get noticed by these big schools. You have to get invited to these big camps. If you don't perform at those camps, you won't get offers. Also, I've seen his stats and no they are not impressive. However, I wonder how much of that is that the other teams stay away from his side of the field. I know that happened to Beasley and Thomas when they started to get interests from major schools. The big schools won't offer or sign without watching film on him. I wish him the best and also hope his dad makes a full and speedy recovery.
I tried to explain this earlier but some people only seem to want to hate b/c of their lack of knowledge.. As a freshmen and soph he had between 80 & 90 tackles and 2 or 3 INT's each season, stats are lowerer this season b/c teams went away for what ever reason
I agree with both of these. You also have to look at the system he's playing in and the team he's playing with.... If Tony was on Nederland's team, his INT total would be huge with that D-Line. Tony's a special athlete and he is also a good steward of his giftedness.. IMO, he deserves every good thing that comes his way.
