  1. We did not play great but we got the win. That's all that matters A sign of a good team is just that---you do not play your best but still get the win---congrats BH Good Luck Wednesday we will be watching Unless Dayton has someone running track, the GCM game will be played today. Says who? Do you have a reliable source that says Dayton vs. GCM is today? UIL rule: page 35 of the UIL 2008-2009 Baseball Manual Postponement District varsity baseball games postponed by weather or public disaster (not including illness) shall be rescheduled on the next date, other than Sunday, on which another district game is not scheduled. In the event weather or public disaster forces the makeup game to be rescheduled it shall be rescheduled on the next date as described earlier. These makeup games may be played as an exception to the school week limitation. District varsity games that are postponed by weather or public disaster, and not played on the next available date, shall be rescheduled and played on a date determined by the district executive committee. Based on the UIL rule, GCM Principal and the GCCISD Athletics Director are requesting that the game be played today UNLESS the Dayton team is affected by the track meet. stickin it to the broncos!!! who's pitching for GCM??
  2. Looks like his minor league experience started for one of the astros single A clubs. [Hidden Content] Played for Lamar before that. [Hidden Content]
  3. Stros may go 1 - 163 if they play as bad as they have been, I hope they don't make them play 2 extra ;D 162 game season... I know this was a "just for fun thread"... Seriously though... I think that very few of us (myself included) really have a grasp of how good the ballplayers are even on the worst clubs in baseball and how big the gap is between truly great high schoolers and the pros. I know Andruw Jones was like 17 when he exploded on the scene but he is by far the exception and not the rule. I too would like to know the highschoolers in this area that could play AA.
  4. The title of the article is a little misleading.... aren't they all in 21-3A? 21-3A teams go 3-3 in Monday night baseball??? j/k I know you mean the ones from Orange.
  5. my thoughts too! Just plan it from the get go. This does affect softball more than baseball it seems.
  6. No Dayton ??? that hurts!!! > ;D
  7. The first two were good ones... Wouldn't mind seeing them on the schedule every year.
  8. doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard out of BH. :-\
  9. Mercka (sp?) is definitely a good one and forrest tyler at RB will be a good one also... Crosby being good won't surprise me one bit.
  10. :Dthank you.... I was wondering about that!!!
  11. I think usually you have to be a thrower.... I think :-\
  12. things have definitely been shaking out differently than I expected.... who knows ??? I hope dayton.... both teams need the win IMO!
  13. he's a PNG grad living in dayton.... He's all about the kids. He'd vote for it and pay for it if Dayton tried to pass it!! ;D
  14. Thanks for the vid bronco1. ;D I had heard Hill (anchor I think)was bigger than last year... no doubt
  15. thanks... I was thinking something in that ballpark (no pun intended)
  16. thanks.... I might have to catch this one.... Do you remember the score of the first one???
  17. since Dayton and Kpark play at Kpark due to field conditions last time.... will Kpark come to dayton for this round??
  18. hey man ... go ahead and claim 'em. I'd do the same if given the chance. ;D
  19. how come? ???
  20. It's my understanding that Trey's 100 time of 10.2 at the YMBL was a hand held time, wind aided. I am not real sure on the hand held time but know for a fact it was wind aided. Still, that's very fast!! if you add on the required amount for hand timing.. he still has one of the top 2 or 3 times in the state. I can't wait to see him run next week. Bronco relays uses FAT as well. Well you will have to come see him at Silsbee, because I am pretty sure that the Mustang Herd will not be thundering in to town for the Bronco Relays. They're on the list to be there!!
  21. A link to the video of the finals... After stumbling on hurdle 2 in the prelims, Cameron came up big in the finals. [Hidden Content] This mark ranks LaCour #1 in the Nation for 2009. With several weeks left, it will be exciting to see what he can do. Showdown in Dayton April 9th between LaCour, and Chance Casey from Crosby... KJ Barton of Dayton and Phillip Jones from WOS also!!
  22. Awesome!! Glad you got to witness it.... wish I could've. I know he's a transfer to Dayton but I am super proud that he's here. Also, this is a .29 second PR over his personal best ran in '08... that says a little bit for Dayton's Track program. Cameron is a true technician in the hurdles and a tremendous worker. BTW.... Congrats to Beard in the Vault!!

  24. I know you aren't watching these threads anymore.... but in case you are.... You have to see how a lot of your posts made you look like all these things. I truly believe you meant it in fun, but you definitely made it a point to rub people the wrong way. But, you're right.... you do need to keep a better image than the one that you, most likely inadvertently, created for yourself. I'm glad you landed a great job and hope to read about tons of success out of your program as I'm sure someone on here will keep us posted.
