  1. The reality is one team is heading in one direction and the other team is heading in the opposite direction. Here, you will need this blanket. It gets cold in the cellar. I thought he was being considerate and offering PNG Fans a blanket, because we will go deep into the playoffs more than twice in school history. You know the first cold front comes in around the end of November. ;D twice ??? ;D
  2. I am with you on all of that post unfortunately.
  3. they do here... don't know if I'd call it a "beating" though
  4. um.... i'll venture a big fat NO on this one.
  5. It's one of those that will resurface every year with new posters.... yawn Yes indeed! Lol. not bothered... wait til you're on here for a couple years and you'll notice the trends of how the same threads pop up over and over. I'll stick to the topic though... I feel that it waters down the playoffs but every so often you get a 4th place team that make a serious run but IMO they are too few and far between to warrant taking 4 every year. 2 is plenty for me.
  6. That's great news! Good luck to him... looking forward to watching him play on saturdays.
  7. myself = 1 post how many including yourself.
  8. Looks that way!!!!!! > > > > > :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ On a positive note.... it takes a darn good program to convince them that he's serious and make them give him the $$$!!
  9. It's one of those that will resurface every year with new posters.... yawn
  10. sounds like PNG is getting used... :-\

  12. good luck with that!
  13. In Dayton we have some good size coming up which might give us some success in a power running type O but... that size isn't gonna be here for long enough to make a change IMO. Plus... I feel like our kids have a good grasp of the O and our D hasn't been soft because of it. Well, it hasn't been soft against power running teams. The only running teams to have much success against us lately are NF and Livingston. I'll stick with what we got going!
  14. come on AAW!!.... I'll bet he runs for at least a thousand.... not including the playoffs.
  15. I checked out the West Texas A&M roster and Michael wasn't anywhere on there. I take it that he didnt play. Any reason for this? Or did he play then decide to transfer? came home before season started... not sure why.
  16. I've heard from numerous sources that michael will walk on at UH with AJ. That was part of the reason AJ wants the coogs... package deal sorta thing.
  17. If he wants to play QB.... I don't know if UT is the place. May not get to start til very late in his eligibility barring something happening to Gilbert.
  18. Personally, I remember the Rainbow Cafe in Liberty as being a great place to eat. Rainbow Cafe was in dayton at the intersection of Hwy 90 and Hwy 321. I was pretty young when it closed... don't remember eating there.
  19. position player... Jeremy johnson from silsbee.
  20. You could count on him to have a good "strategery" for every game.
  21. PNG did nothing illegal... they worked the system like so many politically minded people do. That's frustrating to those being left out of the process: media, fans, etc. but is not illegal. Some PNG fans on this site were extremely defensive when attacked by the potstirrers, which is what they wanted. Some folks have a hard time realizing that no one is going to stay out of anyone's business on a public forum.... just like everyone chimes in on WOS bus and OC issues.
  22. When PAM gets the same number of fans/opposition on this site as PNG... I am certain there will be just as much talk about the hiring of their HC.
  23. Some of our kids in Silsbee actually live more than 10 miles from the school(Caney Head), they manage. All of the small towns represented on this site are the same.... their districts encompass a large geographical area. WOS was very fortunate to have the buses as long as they have. I always see the kids with cars on the sports teams in dayton full of teammates after practices. The kids and parents will find a way. Just like the low-income families, families with parents out of work, etc. find a way to survive. Really this could not have come at a worse time. You say that all of the small towns are the same, well other that Bridge City which is not a school at all like WOS, how many of those just had hurricane Ike wipe out a large portion of the housing that these kids and parents were living in. Also how many cars do you think were completely flooded during the storm? I can tell you because I was one of the rescue workers in a boat pulling people from their flooded house. Every car that was in that area of town was lost, I am guessing 1000 cars are more. How many of those families do you think had full coverage insurance on their car. My guess is none. So most of these people have no car at this time, and can't afford to replace it. So not all of these small towns are the same as you say they are. Maybe you could make the argument before Ike that the parents should get involved, still not a great one, but now after Ike that argument just does not work, because many of the families really do not have a way to get there kids. They are totally dependant on the buses. And by the way Diamond J, hitchhiking is illegal, they might get arrested. my quote was really more in reference to the geographical makeup of the towns and the resilience of the people in those towns to make things happen when they have to. But.... if you say so.... WOS schools and families will crumble under the weight of not having extracurricular buses.
