Without a doubt, whoever the coach is will make plenty of promises of playoff success that they're not able to fulfill because 1) they're full of bull 2) the school board and administration won't allow it 3) It doesn't really matter anyway because the coach that looks the best and gives the community and players the most warm fuzzies has gotten the job for the past 40 some odd years.

hopefully they'll keep him off the field for his own sake.... and LCM's

Agreed he would leave the field with the help of others! I would think they could quickly design a hockey style kind of play to even the score. Question, was the receiving team guy off sides--he got there pretty quick.I bet his parents were proud. Yes he was if you pause it then grab the slide bar you can see that the kick return guy was on about the 48 1/2 yard line when the kicker kicks it... not only did he cheap shot him but he was also offsides.... And yes a bounty would of been issued shortly afterward... I am not a vindictive person but when you intentionally go after another young man to intentionally hurt him.. you should be dealt with accordingly... an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth... This was no different than ear holing someone down field that is behind the play by 30 yards.... I see what you are saying, but on an interception, the QB is fair game and you can go after him. This is why sometimes the QB will stay on the ground. Blocking him is one thing intentionally trying to hurt someone is different. We would have a bunch of Jim McMahon and Charles Martin Body slams If our scrupples were like this coach. If they were in a State Title game it would be more plausible still wrong but I would see it as everyone wants to win however they can. Thank you for using Plausible. That is awesome! The one thing that I learned about Central in dayton's 2 years in the district is that they most often play to the level of their competition sometimes this can be great! More than any other team dayton played in that district, central was the most unpredictable when comparing common scores... so don't try. I hated that about my Jags. This is true. We did a lot a playing to our competition. To the Lion fan. The offense will move the ball and the defense will be there. If you have any playmakers to stop 3rd and short, this will be an interesting game. they always seemed to get up for the Broncos! Congrats on the success livingston!! I didn't realize they had been to the playoffs so rarely.

More than any other team dayton played in that district, central was the most unpredictable when comparing common scores... so don't try.

In reality, all we need to do is finish above Livingston for playoff seeding. Since Livingston & Lumberton are the two schools that will be going to Division 2. Exactly the point to my earlier post. If Central pulls the win this week against Livingston, the Nederland game does not mean a thing but some bragging rights. Serious question... not trying to stir it up. If livingston does beat Central, do you feel like you guys will do more to win against Nederland rather than rest up? Or do you think the coaches won't care who you guys get in the 1st rd the playoffs?

that's a good stat. Neither have faced an offense like the others, IMO. this oughta be a fun one to watch.

I bet people in Dayton are thanking the good Lord for this. nah... To be "the man"... you have to beat "the man". I like knowing that we got beat by the best if we had to go down. IMO, Div. I last year was a much easier road all the way through the Championship because of the lack of really good passing teams i.e. highland park and LT. Dayton fares better against run oriented teams as most do. Call me crazy, but I think we would have had a shot at the D1 title. everyone has a shot... but what are the odds? I would love for Nederland to play them in round 1 and get some revenge for the 63-0 beatdown last year... other than Nederland beating yall, I hope yall do win it all. I meant a better shot... the odds would have been better due to the presence of mostly run-based teams. I hope Ned makes the playoffs. they will be D1 if they do though and won't see dayton.

#50 is Jordan Baxter he is a junior and a very hard nosed salty kid. I think that he and the Stapleton kid complement each other very well. Just a little note on #50 Jordan Baxter. When he was in 8th grade (I taught him history) I saw him crank out 30 one handed push ups and could have kept going. Now, does this translate into being a good player?? no... but it's a pretty good story to tell to people when he's making plays on the field! Very proud of this kid... he's an extremely hard worker.
