  1. I'll bet alot of people in this area (liberty county) are in that 153.
  2. I'll agree with that. other than the obvious hitters, there were several second teamers that put some pretty good licks on some of the dayton receivers.
  3. i think he's a dayton fan. >
  4. Do you guys know what his number was at the WOS/Dayton scrimmage?
  5. Meant to post last night. here is my educated guess 2008 Dayton Broncos great format above but can't get it to work(not very tech savvy) Offense OL Jeremy Baker Ray Samuels Anthony St. Julian Aaron Ripkowski Chance McCormick Rec. AJ Dugat Terry Asson Damian Berotte (sp?) Peyton Ploch RB Darius Detiege QB Not sure about this one... maybe Cody Green Defense DL Tony Hill Xavier Edwards KJ Barton LBs Evan Brown Aaron Jenkins Jordan Baxter Chad Stapleton (not sure about this one ... very capable athlete but... a lot of rotation at this spot) Saf Terry Asson Xavier Baldwin (flashes of a pretty stinkin good safety IMO) CB Cameron LaCour (F-A-S-T) McBride (first name Brian?) Our original starting safety is out for a while. IMO our def. backfield has turned out to be stronger than I would have thought. With the experience in the o-line and the obvious standouts, the off. should be good from the get go. When the defense gets some experience and is fully healthy I think we'll be in good shape. Disclaimer: This post in no way reflects the views or opinions of the Dayton coaching staff or the players and is merely the product of a somewhat uninformed fan.
  6. Surely you jest or either you are looking for a response as ludicrous as the above statement. I'd say that the fact that Dayton rolled over the Raiders easily (scrimmage) that perhaps they have far more pressing issues to be concerned with than the Coogs? One victory over LM and one playoff appearance doesn't make Lumberton a legitimate threat for LM to be shaking in their boots about! I'd like to say that the Raiders vs. Cougars might meet up once again in the playoffs but I'm not quite sure that will come to fruition for an obvious reason which I'll let you figure out on your own? Good luck in your season though so perhaps we can tangle once again this year. pretty sure he's kidding... i think he's not even a lum. supporter.
  7. whoops! PLEASE you're not being a very goodsport... it was just practice!! Beard and hannah will carry the load for lumberton. those two looked real good.
  8. driving home... game ended at 12:45
  9. he was at the WOS game I believe.
  10. Looked at it last week. Impressive!
  11. Leave the talking on here to the has beens or never was's. You go work out, run, and get better. Good luck this year!!!
  12. I know Dodge said it, but I bet he is perfect in that offense!! Great to hear all the hard work is paying off!
  13. I was just thinking that. somebody come back with a full report. I'm really interested in how Vidor will do this year.
  14. after tomorrow when Dayton plays and lumberton practices, I'll definitely be on the L-Train. Here's to a REAL rematch!!!
  15. Scrimmages are practice for ... real games. So why is it so bad to prepare like it's a real game?? Lumberton or whoever may choose not to, but why is Dayton made out to be chumps because they watched some film and attended a first scrimmage? One thing I can say for dayton is that the coaches don't just expect the kids to get better. They are constantly trying to be better coaches. If that means scouting some scrimmages and watching tape, I'm sure they don't mind the flack.
  16. I think we feel like LT was a truly good team and felt that we shouldn't have lost to lumberton. But I'm sure you already knew we thought that. :-\
  17. gonna be a lot of speed on that field!!!
  18. Wouldn't miss this one! We can sit right in the middle of the L-Train and cheer for the D-Train because you know the D-Train probably won't have a chance because of that one point loss last year. HA HA HA HA! Whatever..........would like to be on the L-Train's bus after the game when Dayton has just totally humiliated them. It's ashame that this game didn't take place on their site because im sure after it's over the L-Train will blame it on the venue. C'mon, somebody post the score from last year, haven't seen it yet! [/q Look...Just because the Dayton fans have been making excuses for almost a year now doesn't mean that Lumberton will make any after this SCRIMMAGE. I think you talk about last years score more than any of the Lumberton fans. Everytime I see you post it's about last years game & score. Get over it! You people just couldn't be a good sport and congratulate the other team you have to come on here and make excuses and HATE on anybody that posts anything about Lumberton and make this SCRIMMAGE out to be the equivalent of the Super Bowl or something. Grow UP! Quit bringing up last year, it's over now. If Dayton does better in this SCRIMMAGE then so be it. Good for them. I don't think it matters who wins or loses...we will have to hear about last years so called FLUKE for eternity regardless of the outcome Sat. true... I'm not gonna lie last year's loss still bugs me but it's over. I just hope this scrimmage benefits both teams, everyone stays healthy and that dayton is ahead when time is up
  19. I agree... Dayton is treating this like a real game. But, I also think that they might as well get in the groove of what they're going to do every other game of the season. I would bet lumberton has watched a little tape, etc. as well.
  20. good news. I was sorta anticipating this. I think it will benefit both teams to play on a field that is not chewed up to get timing down, etc. I'll bet there will be a lot of dayton folks at this scrimmage!!
  21. [Hidden Content] he's a big dude!!!
  22. I don't claim to know a lot about the spread or football in general, but to me dayton has been effective with a smaller athletic type O-line. I haven't seen BC but that may be what stump is going for rather he has bigger guys or not. the gaps are so much bigger with the spread I don't think real big lineman are entirely necessary. But, they do have to be able to block well like you mentioned and i'm sure that is improving daily with stump there.
  23. Curious. How many points did Green and team score against WOS? Bailey threw and ran for 3 TDs, and 21 points total against WOS last year. I think this was the most points given up by WOS in a game all year. And I think that was in Bailey's first or second start at QB. Green is good no doubt, but Bailey is something special also. Cody threw for 1 td, ran for 1 and the rb scored the third td in that half. cody was 15 for 22 with 270 yds passing in the 1st half. IMO, i'd put my money on green as the best QB. Bailey sounds like a tremendous athlete though to do that against WOS in midseason.
  24. While cody and AJ did look good last night... I believe the brightest spot for the broncos was the O-line. they gave cody and zach (backup qb) all kinds of time to throw and had pretty good spurts with run blocking as well. a few high snaps was the only glaring issue, but I'm sure they will rectify that as the season progresses. I was very impressed with this group.
