  1. True there are laws related to discussing personnel matters at any place of employment....there are rules that organizations enact themselves that prohibit the discussion on personnel matters......He didnt really say anything in the article that was not common knowledge.....if he discussed the health issues of the coach or something along those lines it would be different........are your school board sessions closed? I think he's talking about the board members' closed session after the general meeting.
  2. I don't want to totally run them down but, Livingston had and easy draw the first 2 rds of the playoffs and that to me is the reason that they were able to go so deep in the playoffs. They played with a lot heart and class, but all in all were not that strong. but... i believe they do return an athletic QB and their tailback... those two carried a lot of the load last year and I'm sure will do the same this year
  3. I agree with everything else except WB and Dayton. Brook's best chance was last year. They had a stout D-line. Before Williams got hurt, IMO they had one of the best running back tandems in the state. Dayton benifited from the backup QB. He could throw and run. Green will be favoring that broken leg and won't be as productive as some think. I am not predicting a state appearance but, come September Green will be 100% and he can run. We have alot of players that were sophmores and juniors on last years team, we will do alright. Cody got loose a few times last year before he got hurt. He took one about 70 yds against a pretty fast angleton team with monroe and other speedsters on the field. Seeing greg and cody, I think he is just as much a run threat as greg. We'll see about the 100% thing. He'll be very effective and the offense will be more sophisticated w/him at the helm.
  4. That's all relative though. I'm sure they'll still be more talented than most. I hope he stays at NED for continuity's sake with what ya'll have returning. But LM is still very talented even on a down year and I would like to see what he could do with them.
  5. I believe Lacour is just a junior also! :o
  6. Right now he is third in the nation in the 300 H and 5th in the 110 H, no 4a Texas runner is even near him. He should when them both in state. 7. the plan this year was for dayton to play LaMarque, Friendswood and possible Corsicana. If anything, they wanted to play a tougher schedule, realignment messed that up. Don't pretend that dayton is scared. BTW... Bay City, our week 0 opponent beat WOS last year.
  8. casey is the real deal!!! He should definitely medal in the 300h at state.
  9. I was wondering how long that was gonna go...
  10. that's one way to keep your scores up!! don't help 'em... get em outta there :o j/k
  11. Cardenas and Bellows are gonna put up some major numbers this season. Look at what happened this year with them being young and not having a full season to work together. Cardenas runs great routes and has good hands. the few catches he made against dayton were very good 3 of the 4 he was absolutely smothered and still came up with the catch.
  12. they seemed like they were every where when they played TC. They made a FAST tc team look slow after about 1/2 a quarter. Although, I'll bet Spell could do some pretty good things with all that speed over there too!!!
  13. Looking at what Chuck Vincent did with that defense } >, I think he would be my pick. they were just plain scary in '06
  14. kudos to bh for stepping up but..... geesh!!!
  15. guilty as charged lol I hope that happens!!!!! any inkling on where the game might be played?
  16. WOS by 2 scores in this one. WOS seems to be ahead of the curve in week 0. Later in the year this is probably a more even game.
  17. i agree
  18. those wimpy broncos like it!! ;D Horses run better on turf. They are the exception! ;D I'll definitely miss watching the broncos and the Jags go at it next year, the jags were fast on turf!!
  19. those wimpy broncos like it!!
  20. my thoughts exactly. I kinda hope he gets it.
  21. he'd walk into a gold mine of talent, not to mention all that tradition. I bet he wants a ring.
  22. rb's for sure the biggest.
  23. There were a lot of sophomores on the 07 team that played 10-15 games, so I wouldn't count on us going too far "down hill". Of course losing 2 of the top recruits in the state will hurt, but there will be a very good core group returning for 09. Dayton has a good overall program and will find a way to compete no matter where they go, and they've shown that. As far as overall UIL... you may be right and there are a lot of factors that play into that especially with the "club" sports. No disrespect I though thought I would get on and stir the pot a little ;D BH knows about Dayton the have a very good program over there and alway are competitive in Football. Beleive me when I say I enjoyed Daytons ROMP through the Southeast Texas district the last two years ;D ;D ;D ;D I think Dayton and BH will make a good rival atlthough BH is small in nubmers now they are growing at a crazy rate,so you can plan on BH being more and more competitive each year they are in 4A. None taken.... I can't wait for BH and Dayton to square off. It's one of those natural rivalries. I'm glad it's gonna happen.
