Not sure what they have coming up...But this type of year...assuming it continues...will do wonders for the program. Hopefully they are turning the corner to becoming a competitive team year in and year out.

You do know we've had a QB change since then right? AJ is much more volatile as a receiver. Friendswood had way more size than you guys, but did not have the overall team speed. Plus, you guys had a great game plan to stop AJ, which was mostly all you did. When the ball was thrown to the receivers, they usually got 5-8 yds a catch, if not more. You made the offense look out of sync to some degree. But, the fact that the offense was not being run properly also contributed to that. When the offense is being run properly, the qb isn't running as much and has gotten the ball away quickly. Your front seven did a fantastic job containing a running qb, they are very fast...but the receivers were open and just not thrown to on many occasions. Our offense is based on quick passes, which there was time for regardless of the pressure. We'll never know how it would have panned out if greg was qb.

I think what Purple4Ever was getting at, is the fact that while AJ is a great athlete, the offense wasn't being run effectively. Many things were very ad libbed. Your defense did a great job of shutting AJ down. If the offense was being run, you guys would have been covering passes instead of just trying to run AJ down. Now I'm not saying ya'll wouldn't have, but, it would have been more difficult than keying on one guy. AJ is a good playmaker, but the offense was not being run. Even coach Stewart said in the paper, that it was more like a Jr. High offense. None of that matters now though. All we can do is win as many as possible and see what happens. But, the offense is much better with AJ at receiver and greg at QB.

Well darn....we can't play central at the babe this year...we played them there last year. I hope that we can earn your approval by season's end. Really, I'm not sure why we don't have your respect yet. I don't think you can put much stock in looking at common opponents, but since it seems you want to bring up the fact that we haven't played everyone you guys have; let's look at the ones that were similar... look at what PNG did against Ozen and look at what we did. Then, you can take a look at the ya'lls game against vidor and ours. Back on topic...the L-train is the real deal.

beard is a bigger weapon at LB than rb. I know some L-town fans would like to see him have more carries....but he is a monster on defense.

they gave him the ball on some sweeps....he played receiver all night. One game at a time...we are in no position to overlook anyone.

22-4A Dayton does for now because of the turf and the reserved seats with backs IMO.....PNG takes over next year.

DRH has a real nice playing surface I thought. It rained when we played (not sure how much before the game) and held up great. I don't remember any muddy spots.
