  1. so....that is saying that Mart would beat WB, Pearland, etc.???? You're right, that is kinda screwy.
  2. I hope so too. They had to shake things up a little last year after the 2nd or 3rd game I believe. Not for the same reasons, but I bet they'll get it corrected before too long. I'll bet practice was intense monday!!!!
  3. ok...i drove by a couple years ago and it looked really green and nice. I thought it was turf. :o
  4. as usual...nice video...I like all the nicknames. Alvin Taylor -The Freight Train is right. Saw him put it on some TC receivers last year.
  5. We did have 3 or 4 guys injured that I know for sure would've played, but I don't think all of them were starters. Either way...not a big group suited out at all. We'll get something figured out with the running game. Once we lost the rb...for some reason we just about stopped running altogether. Not sure why. Playing WOS is a good way to see what needs fixing.
  6. This is Nac's first game I believe. If Dayton can get it clickin' I think we win by 10 or so. Nac wasn't bad last year. the game was 14-0 but was hard fought IMO. They failed to score at least twice inside the 10.
  7. two were out after the fight. Not sure if the refs tossed both or what...The fifteen yard run for that tail back was a td. That's why I'm saying they were a huge loss, because they are on the field so much. At the moment I see a bit of a depth issue. If some of our young guys grow up like we think they will, the issue won't be so glaring. Wet weather was definitely a hamper on passing for both.
  8. I read on their athletics site that they just revamped their dressing room/fieldhouse. So...we'll probably play at the high school. I wanna say they might have turf also....don't quote me on that.
  9. how many do they return?
  10. good news for nederland!!! Hold it steady till he recovers.
  11. Your right...dayton will be fine. But, when we lost those to lb's we also lost our starting running back. Remember our first td....it was on the ground...it was one of those linebackers. He is our primary running back. WOS made good adjustments, yes, but you cannot deny that our defense was totally different w/o those two guys. No one said we were down because we lost to a 3A team. WOS is good. WOS had the backups to respond. Where as we replaced our all-district linebacker and defensive newcomer of the year with 2 sophomores who had never played a varsity, regular season snap. As I've said before; maybe it's a positive that those young guys got thrown into the fire against such a high caliber running game.
  12. nice...not a whole lot of people would think that.
  13. Soulja...do you feel like Central is stronger than last year??? check your PM's
  14. huffman may be building somethin'????
  15. who played QB for central today???
  16. That's funny. I think I 'll take you with me next time I go to reliant or minute maid and maybe save a few bucks.
  17. They've got 3 weeks to get ready for district. They'll compete.
  18. Short passing game was working for sure.
  19. That's awesome!! I had no idea that you were talking about baseball. All I saw were decimals and started having scary flashbacks from math class.
  20. I understand...I was referring to your comment about stopping our QB.
  21. Ummm.....I respectfully disagree. Why weren't you supporting your Cards last night anyway?? They needed you. If you think Cody is all we have, you are mistaken. What you saw in the first half is more of a true feel of what Dayton has. The two players we lost are two of the best linebackers in the district , both solid special teamers, and one is a major contributor on offense(rushing TD in the first half). Dayton will progress...This is week 0. Don't go engraving any trophies yet.
  22. I say PNG....Crosby does return a lot though.
  23. I agree. Honestly, other than the number being different. I didn't know you guys lost your #1 rb.
