Both teams should be proud. The Broncos have seemed to win like this a lot this year by taking advantage of their opportunities. I wish Andres, #8, was taller, for his own sake, he'd be playing on saturdays somewhere.

What a great game! great effort on both sides. The Bronco faithful (or unfaithful) need to give the D a little credit on this one. The grew up some in the 2nd half and should be commended.

observations: 1. Nelson is a player! Nearly every time PNG needed a play, he provided. 2. Love PNG's tradition.... some fans around me were poking fun, but you gotta respect how long and how well they've been carrying those proverbial torches. 3. Great atmosphere and just good, tough kids out there. 4. Fantastic effort by both teams and even more fantastic defensive adjustments by the Bronco staff... PNG looked unstoppable in the first half, but the dayton coaches solved the riddle. 5. In the end, Dayton did what Dayton does.... WIN. No sweep this year.... Proud to be a Bronco!!!

too bad all that D1 talent can't win their own.....

Regional finals in 09 and regional semis in '10(or whatever the call it... 3rd rd.)  We've got lots of big game experience. The Nederland game may be a great atmosphere, but it's not quite the same as being deep in the playoffs. Compared to the later rounds of the playoffs, MCM, was basically meaningless this year for PNG.... i mean they lost and they're still in the playoffs. Oh well, the point has been made and you prob knew what he meant in the first place.... good luck to both teams.

[/quote] Good post AAW... I figured the 200 comment was a gross underestimation. I realize that Crosby ISD takes in a lot of surrounding areas, but has anyone bothered to take a look at the disparity in population between Crosby proper and Vidor?  Vidor is much larger and I'm sure take in some surrounding areas as well. But, this is a big factor for Crosby's crowd size. We know all the reasons Vidor had a big crowd, but I'm not sure throwing Crosby under the bus is necessary, at least not without looking at the facts.

And as much as it sickens me to type these words on my keyboard, I think Barbers Hill will also be a team that will be making noise (as they have this year) in the coming years.
