Naw man 91 of the last 96 minutes we've played. Maybe more than that because I remember Herrera fumbled when we were running clock AFTER he'd gotten a first down and I had thought to myself that we'd be able to run the clock out...then he got hit and fumbled :(. Wasn't it like 2 touchdowns and a safety in the last 4 minutes of the game. My memory is failing me.
I've usually got a great memory for stuff like that..... I've let myself forget most of the details of that night though. That one hurt a bit. :'(
Just thought I would chime in, haven't been on in a while and I love the SETX passion. Just wanted to say congratulations to Kingwood Park and good luck to you and to Dayton in Round 2. I also wanted to correct the folks who have indicated that we were looking past KP. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our coaches learned back in '07 when we were upset in the 1st round by Austin LBJ to never look past anyone in the playoffs. They knew KP had some talent and would play hard, and so did the kids. This was just one of those games that when something could go wrong, it did. You can't fumble the ball 4 times deep in your own territory and win against any opponent. Just too many mistakes, but I am proud of the Cubs and it says a little something about the fight in the team that they were actually still ahead with about 5 minutes left in the game. Best of luck to all the rest of the region in the playoffs, bring a title home.
typical coming from you..... classy post.
this is commign from a small senior lineman that played for the hill last friday. now my rant: i want to thank all the good sportsman ship from MOST of the ndn players exept number 33. the late hit on an o lineman that wasnt looking when the play was over (gave the him a minor concussion) and all his s**t talking, he will get his when its his time. heres a link to a pic of me and him getting into each other when the play was done i let off and threw my hands up so i wouldnt be flaged [Hidden Content] Too all the people that said it was going to be a blow out i guess the hill showed you it wasnt they didnt put there 2nd string in and just put it on cruise now did they. we kept it close so hahahaha. rant over. now great game png i hope yall go far and beat the heck out of everyone and i hope yall get a chance to demolish dayton. to all the png fans thanks for the kind complements and encouragement it means alot. yall sure do support yalls team. at the end of the game when we lines up for the good game thing yalls boys were very repectful good men and althletes. the coaches from png are very respectful as well. everyone of the coaches from png meet said that i had allout of heart and was a great player for my size. they said to keep my head and that i played great. they were nice to evereyone of the bh players they meet. yall have a very stout team just need to tighten up on a few things and yall should be almost unbeatable. we shot ourselves in the foot with a few to many penalties and fumbles. overall great game. made my last senior game a blast and fun. thank you to all the ndn players and fans once again does anyone know who the ndns play next and were wouldnt mind going to support a good team with the exeption of suport for number 33. now bh lets get to state next year. and one last thing THE HILL IS FOR REAL!!!
I hope so too. I wouldn't mind another trip to the Regional title game.
Going with Dayton,im hoping last game was just a fluke or atleast a wakeup call.
no fluke. Just puts more emphasis on the need to take advantage of your opportunities. Not being able to capitalize when we were in the red zone (penalties, turnovers, whatever) allowed the game to play out like LIV wanted with time consuming drives, etc. Dayton goes into this game as a better team than they were before saturday.

Just looking at the brenham game, you can see that the major factor was 4 turnovers early. that and the Brenham offense was not what it was billed to be. Which was unstoppable
we know all too well. turnovers late too right?? KPark outscored them 16-0 in the 4th. One of the fumbles was on the 7 yd line I believe. HUM... was kpark stripping the ball or was it more Brenham's doing??
Brenham's doing. I only say one TRUE forced fumble and the cubs recovered. The very first one on the kick off was a knukle ball that hit the KR hands funny and bounced out to the Kpark player...the rest were much of the same, just some poor ball handling skills.
gotcha

Incredible catch along with two jump balls that he went up and got. He is only a Junior, I an only imagine how good he will be next year.
who will be slangin' the rock?
Travis Miller. He is a very capable Junior. He is bigger and faster than Doty but I am not sure on his passing skills. He has the arm strength but I have no clue about his accuracy. We killed a few drives ourselves in that game and we were plain out flat. To take nothing from PNG our Oline did not show up! That is a problem in all of our losses! I have seen them play great and play bad! If we dont hedge block with a FB or RB on pass plays, we will not be able to stop the D-line of Humble. Our Oline is not small, but it can be slow out the blocks. The Sweep will probably be our best bet against Humble, if Heard can make the first tackle miss! Dont take this team for light because they can surprise you. The deep ball by the Sophmore is a thing of beuty! I do agree that the defensive scheme is not best fit for our talent. You can't run that without a BIG, dominant nose guard, and our nose guard is pretty little!
Their smaller then you'd like to see when going Pro-set. But not taking anything away from them, smaller is better sometimes. Espcially in run blocking schemes. Trust me, i am not taking this team lightly...and neither will our boys or coaches. In all honesty this will come down to which team is better coached. Central is athletic, but so is Humble. The talent on either side of the ball will not be the factor that wins this game. Execution will. i realize and respect the level of talent at Central, but it will be nullified by equal talent. Where is a good place to eat before the game? I haven't been down to Beaumont for a game since 2007.
Floyd's is good and close to the stadium. There are also several other chain style resteraunts very close like Pappadeaux's, Cheddars, Johnny Carrino's, Joe's Crab Shack, Cracker Barrel, etc. All of those are within a mile or two of the stadium. Floyd's or Cheddars would be my choices.
you're so rich!! :D
You lost me.... ;D. I was just listing the resteraunts near the stadium.... I can throw in the Jack in a Box and Waffle House if it helps anyones pocket book. ;D
I'm just kidding. I go all out for playoffs, that would be my list too.

Keep telling everyone how weak we are--hope they believe you. I especially liked your comment about Dayton and Central. Do you know who scored 49 points on Central and pulled out the starters in the 3rd quarter? Must've been Dayton by your estimation. So, everyone, don't worry about PN-G; they are just pushovers. ;D FYI, I'm talking tongue-in-cheek and ROFLMAO.
Read the post again Squaw1.... you misunderstood
