1. Rumor has it there are an estimated 4000 PNG fans there already...  :o :o :o j/k
 2. I saw all the 20 4A teams and not one had a dominating defense.
if you average up the rankings on this site (just for fun)... it's coldspring.
 3.
I think the Lions will play the Dayton tough and i will not be surprised if they win. You Dayton folks are becoming a legend in your on minds.
That's cool. We're legendary fans. 8) 8)
 4.
Well here is my 2 cents. I know they are a great team, but that area is weak as far as opponents go.So their blowouts were predicted. They wont be tested untill the semi's imo. They seem like a one man show in Jaxon Shipley. It seems that if you shut down the long pass, they are beatable. The x factor is they think they are the best there ever was, this could come to haunt them. there might be a team they run into that they will overlook. That said, dont be surprised if they get upset and bounced next week or the following. Again, this is truly speculation on what I have seen and heard. I havent seen them play,so cant be specific. I will tell you this, in the 88-24 win, they were struggling untill the third quarter. To beat them, you have to either score with them, or try to shut down Shipley. I say this, because they remind me of our(WOS) 2003 season, where we dropped to 3A and thought our $&%# didnt stink and lost in the first round.
it was like 55-17 in the 2nd quarter... the video I saw, they had a good QB and runningback also. Shipley is definitely a great on though. I think he's returned like 13 kicks for TD's. Brownwood has been good for a long while. I don't think Shipley's the only one to worry about. that's a good program.
 5. interesting that PNG hasn't sold out yet....
;D ;D ;D ;D im sorry so Dayton should kill us next week right cause were not tough.  ??? ;) 56-0 Dayton  :D
I didn't even know you guys have an indoor facility. cubs are plenty tough. I just want the rematch at the moment. Good luck this week.

Is that better PeppermintP?
I don't have a team in this, but the winner isn't decided by who has the most yards.  Example- Most, if not all of 20-4A has more yards than us this year. As for the ability to destroy a locker room, can't help ya there.
Dayton's visiting side holds a lot more.
Dayton and Crosby are bad venues for playoff football.  Parking and visitor seating is horrible at both.  BH has parking, but the visitor stands are small as well and we don't have turf.  Stallworth and Galena Park are about the only decent options close by.  Texas City is not too bad, but might at well play in Humble/Kingwood if your going that far.  Huffman put in a new stadium a few years back, but have not seen it.  I hear it's nice, but not sure about capacity. Just spank those Dogs and we'll find something better next round.
Huffman's new stadium is nice but it only seats 6,000 so there would be no help here.
Dayton's parking is bad, but 3500 visitors seats is honestly enough for most team's fans. Maybe not PNG and NED, but most everyone else would be fine for a 1st round matchup.
 13.
Amazing all the comments from the "wanna be's" and "never was" people on both sides. Hate to see high school sports turn into a episode of the Jersey Shore. Shame the BH QB is hurt, never like to see a player miss something special like this. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free. See ya'll Friday night. Go PNG!
Welcome to an internet message board.
It is so cool seeing all the games that will be in BMT this week.  We are lucky to have two great stadiums for all to come.  Maybe we can even get the Texas/Louisiana Allstar game here too?  Get ready for some Butch Slappings and Provostings!!!
you don't want to get provosted.... ouch. :D
 16. they've got Friendswood losing to Tivy in the semis. I think Friendswood's got the O to beat Tivy. I'll take Fwood by a td if that match happens. Can you imagine if Friendswood won a state championship? FriendswoodFan would go nuts on here. :D
 17.
I said I won't comment on the polls anymore and I mean it.  I am curious as to the breakdown of voters.  How many 5a, 4a, etc?
And Dayton is on a 7 game winning streak while the Brook is coming off of a loss.  The voters (WHICH I CHOSE) know plenty about football. And you wonder why you are getting smited?
I don't care about the smites.  7 game winning streak against who?  Who have the beat this year, and likewise, who have they lost to?     Compare anything you want, it can't be justified.     Anyone who voted that way  would still line up to bet on Brook giving 10 if they played.  You know it and I know it.     Whatever man.  I promise I will never comment on one of your polls again.
Ya'll have 1 quality win as far as your schedule goes. Everyone knows these are just rankings and that the head to heads would be much different. How many Dayton fans are belly-aching about a school that is barely in 3A being ahead of them?

[/glow] If you were you would know that the Dogs have started many QBs that were not seniors! One more trend you will find is that most of our QBs (Forney's the exception) have been pitchers. They have good arms and they know how to chunk the rock. If Neumann and Barrow choose to start Raines or not is their decision, but one thing is for sure, we will line up and play Friday Night.
I know this guy and he does more for the youth in Nederland getting them ready for the next step in sports than anybody I know..If Trevin does not get the start Friday he needs to have at least 15 touches for the dogs to win.. I feel like Trevin is the best threat for the dogs to win Friday..Don't mis-understand what I am saying Carson is a good QB but he has not played since the BH game 9 games ago..And this is not the time to get a QB ready for next year ...That being said Ned by 3 T.Ds ;)
Hey basebow talk with a couple of coaches they know who you are..not that you care just wanted to let you know ;)
LOL.. :D :D :D My name is Bubba Sonnier for the ones that don't know..No need to hide behind a computer screen , alot would change on this forum if we knew who everybody was ..Whatever :P. 20.
I remember several years ago we played Dayton before they changed their stadium, we had a large crowd and before the game started I noticed a lot of black and gold on the other side. The first half was pretty close but in the second half we started pulling away. The black and gold started making noise and you could see the Dayton fans looking over to there side that was full of Dog fans. They had been invaded, it was pretty funny.
That old visitors side was definitely small.

The only times Dayton has been challenged this year they lost. Livingston is very physical and will go blow for blow with Dayton using ball control. Dayton has been clubbing baby seals and has not been challenged what so everfor the past 7 weeks. Livingston played several close games in a much tougher district and most of those games came down to the wire. They won a few of em and lost a few of em. The most talented team does not always win every game and I beleive because of Daytons week district that Livingston pulls the upset in a close one. Just sayin.
I think Dayton wins with good defense, however, Roughrider has a point.  I don't know that Dayton has faced even a decent team in several weeks.   And, Livingston is not bad. You are wrong... Just sayin.  ;D ;D

I definitely agree that he has a point.... But, Dayton has been here before. It was the same situation the past two years and Dayton prepared and rose to the challenge for the playoffs. One thing that has been the same regardless of the scores is the fact that this defense is good and has been all year. Dayton has done what you should do to weaker teams... put their foot on their throat. All we can do is play who is in front of us. Just like when Dayton moved to the Beaumont district, they elevated their game from the get go (Ozen blowout was the first game in that dist.) Dayton won't have trouble adjusting to the level of competition saturday.

Div. 2 at that!
Smithson Valley is D1, not D2.
Your absolutely right. I keep getting my D1 and D2 brackets mixed up for some reason. Let me get a second cup of coffee. I usually don't pay much attention to the other regions until playoff time. What are some other 5A teams that dropped this year? I got Cedar Park, Smithson Valley, Humble, Baytown Lee, Stratford. What about Tyler?
We're gonna need you to get your crap together Hawkeye. This is playoff time and there is little room for error. One more mistake and we're turning you over to Tyrone for discipline. ;D
 24.
So yall don't think Livingston will give you a battle?
You know how it goes... Saturday thru Thursday everybody's talkin' noise, then Friday everybody gets all respectful and wishes each other a safe travel, a hard fought game and no injuries.  :D Dayton respects Livingston, it's just no fun and the week is too long without a little trash talk. With all that said.... No we don't think they will give us a battle. ;D ;D
 25. [img][Hidden Content]] I'd say this forecast favors the Broncos.  ;D Seriously, a rainy day has to favor Livingston. But, Dayton has shown that we don't have to pass too much to be successful.
